Alaric summoned two imp shifter gnomes who had done a couple of crimes in the last couple of days.
He knew that, should he want a gnome to come and live with Peter, that imp shifter gnome would think of it as a punishment. The imp shifter gnomes really were being punished.
He didn't find anything strange about it all.
They had been warned. They had no right to protest!
Besides, Alaric couldn't take from Red's mana anymore. Nick still could, but he would soon lose the ability as well.
"You will sleep near the dragon and eat your meals and think about what you've done," Alaric felt so as if he were a kindergarten teacher. Still, he had to do that, which he had to do.
If Peter had to hunt for his own gnomes, then he might hurt them.
But if Peter didn't, then he was pretty sure that everything was going to be fine.
"I am a free gnome," but the imp shifter gnome was not of the same opinion.
