Chapter 42 - Wedding (1)

"Wellesley, I want to marry you. I want to make you mine first. I may or may not become someone else's but I want to be yours. So I ask you. Will you marry me?"

Wellesley's her eyes were filled with tears and she wanted to say something, but nothing was coming out of her mouth. I saw her condition and jokingly said, "hey Wellesley why are you crying, I don't look at that bad. Well whether you look at it or not, I am better than most boys, and look I do have some money, ahhh.. don't tell me you are disappointed in becoming the wife of a prince. If that's case don't worry I will make you the queen someday....."

Wellesley put a finger on my lips and said, "shhh.. how come you talk som much, I didn't know that Prince could speak so much. I was happy that you asked me to marry you"

I was happy to see the smile gracing her lips and kissing the finger she pressed on my lips my act turned her ears red

"are you ready to marry me now or not?"

Wellesley nodded her head at and said, "I will marry you. But a lot of preparations have to be done for the wedding. Will all this be possible in such a short time?"

"What did you think, I will ask you to marry me and just wait for your answer. No, absolutely not. I have already made all the preparations before asking you to marry me. There is a boutique here nearby, I have ordered a dress. Arslan will go there with you and both of you can see your dress together. There will be a woman there with whom I had discussed everything. You just see your dress and if you like it then wear it. If you don't like it then we still have an hour or two she will get a new one for you. You just go and see it.

When that work is finished then Arslan will take you to a place, I will wait for you there."

I had finished talking but there were still some questions left which she asked her face filled with shoch and disbelief, "Your Highness, you yourself selected a dress for me."

I casually waved my hand, showing it was no big deal and said, "Yes yes, I myself selected your clothes and jewellery. Now you go quickly I have to leave before tonight".

I finished my talk and we both went our separate ways. She went to the boutique and I stayed here for other preparations.

I was trying my best to make tonight a memorable one for both of us. May we both remember this night for many years.

The Wedding

In a mountain plateau, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight. The night air was crisp, and the stars above seem to shining brighter than usual, twinkling as if they are bearing witness to this momentous occasion. The mountain slopes are shrouded in a mysterious darkness, with the distant echoes of a gentle breeze whispering through the trees.

At the heart of this ethereal setting stands a small but exquisite altar, adorned with white roses and delicate strands of golden fairy lights that flicker like tiny stars. The only sounds are the soft rustling of the trees and the quiet, steady breaths of the couple.

Wellesley stands at the altar, her dress flowing like liquid moonlight, an intricate veil cascading down her back. It is a dress unlike any other, shimmering as though woven from the very stars in the sky, reflecting the light of the moon. Her face is calm, but her eyes are bright with love, locked on her groom.

My eyes widened when I saw Wesley. I had very few words to praise her beauty. I opened my mouth with great difficulty and said a few words, "You are looking so beautiful that even the moon and stars will feel shy after seeing you today."

Wellesley gave a nice smile after listening to my words. She just said "to me and you are looking so beautiful that probably there is no one as handsome as you in this world.

This place was nothing without you. But when you come here, this place has become lively"

Christopher, dressed in a sharply tailored black suit that complements the night's elegance, stands opposite her. His gaze is steady, filled with awe, and his hands are slightly trembling as he holds the delicate bouquet of wildflowers that he had picked earlier that day, their faint scent mingling with the crisp mountain air.

The only source of light is the soft illumination from the altar, casting a gentle glow on their faces and creating long shadows that stretch out behind them, as though the mountain itself is holding them in an intimate embrace.

Arslan now acting as an officiant stands beside them, their voice soft yet carrying over the mountainside.

Arslan: "Under the endless sky, with no one but the stars as your witnesses, do you vow to walk through this life together, hand in hand, through every mountain and valley, every challenge and triumph?"

Wellesley just smiles softly, her eyes never leaving Christopher answered first, "I do."

Christopher voice is steady, but there's a slight tremor in it, a mix of excitement and emotion, "I do."

Arslan nods, a quiet smile on his lips. He step back giving the couple a moment in the solitude of the mountains and says,

"As the mountains stand tall, unmoving and eternal, so may your love stand — unshaken by time or trial. You are one, forever bound by the stars and the earth. With this kiss, you seal your vow to each other, now and always."
