The group makes their way through the tunnels, following a trail of marbles that Eddy left to guide them. They navigate the same twisting, winding paths, eventually arriving at the prison cells. Luna's eyes widen in shock as she takes in the awful condition of the prisoners. Without hesitation, she rushes to try and break open a cell door, but Sunny quickly stops her.
"Stop, Luna! Those people are set to become thralls. If you open that cage, they'll most likely attack you," Sunny warns.
Luna freezes, her hands clenched and ready to strike the door. "But... they look so miserable in there," she says, her voice trembling.
Sunny nods, her expression sympathetic but firm. "I know, but we can't release them yet. Once we deal with the vampire, we'll bring a team in here to extract them safely."
Luna slowly nods, stepping back. Her face betrays her emotions—a mix of sadness and anger.
Jamal scans the cells, taking a good look at the prisoners. "Damn, some of them are just kids. This woman didn't spare anybody," he mutters grimly.
Luna forces herself to keep moving forward, and soon they reach the illusionary door. But Eddy is nowhere to be seen.
Sunny unsheathes her sword, which bursts into flames as she points it at the door. "Six Points, Touchdown!" she calls out.
With an overhead slash, she sends a wave of fire that shatters the illusion and reveals a bat monster—a leaner, skinnier creature compared to the previous one they fought. The monster is instantly engulfed in flames, which grow hotter and more intense by the second.
The way ahead is cleared, the fire illuminating the hall as Luna and Jamal watch in awe. Sunny strides toward the writhing creature and plunges her flaming blade into its chest. The sword pierces its heart, glowing white-hot as it melts the organ completely, silencing the creature for good.
As Sunny walks down the hall, she raises her blade and commands, "Return to me, fire!" At her words, all the flames are sucked back into her sword, leaving only smoldering remnants in the burnt corridor. The group continues through the scorched hall, but they encounter two more bat creatures, both singed from the residual flames.
Sunny sighs and steps forward. "Jamal, Luna, I'll handle these two. You two go on ahead—I'll catch up in a few minutes."
Jamal and Luna exchange a glance before nodding and running past the creatures, leaving Sunny to face them alone.
As they push forward, Jamal and Luna find themselves in a gothic-style room, reminiscent of old-time London. The stairs are cold cement with a red paint scheme running up the walls, creating an eerie, ominous atmosphere. A half-finished statue of Laura looms in the center of the room. Jamal and Luna notice a name carved into the base of the statue, but neither can decipher the inscription.
"Jeez, this woman is full of herself," Luna mutters, tapping the statue with an annoyed look.
Jamal shrugs, and the two continue climbing the stairs. At the top, they see a large door slightly ajar, its edges glowing faintly in the dim light.
They both peer through the cracks in the door, revealing a large room with a throne positioned at the far end. A massive painting of Laura dominates the wall behind the throne, flanked by banners displaying a strange emblem: a skull with bat wings. Torches line the walls, casting flickering light across the space, while a red carpet stretches from the door to the base of the throne.
In the center of the room, they see Laura standing with her foot planted firmly on Eddy's chest.
"Go on, submit to me and become my thrall!" Laura commands.
Eddy smirks despite his predicament. "How about you go take a sunbath, you ugly-ass hag?"
Laura's expression darkens, and she applies more pressure, eliciting a scream of agony from Eddy. "You filthy monkey! I offer you eternal life, and you spit in my face? I'll raise your corpse from the dead and make you slaughter your entire family!"
Eddy chuckles weakly. "News flash, idiot: my family's already dead. Someone beat you to it. Too bad—you lose again, moron."
Laura's eye twitches with rage as her nails elongate into razor-sharp blades. She lunges to rip out Eddy's throat, but before she can, Luna unravels her fist and delivers a powerful punch straight to Laura's face, sending her flying against the wall.
Jamal steps forward, pointing a finger at her. He snaps, and Laura bursts into flames, her scream echoing through the room.
Luna rushes to Eddy, helping him to his feet. He coughs up blood but still grins. "Hey, yeah, I've been through worse. Don't worry about me. But you should know—she won't go down that ea—"
Before he can finish, Laura lunges at them with blinding speed, knocking Luna aside and sending her crashing into the wall. Dust fills the air as Laura grabs Eddy by the throat, her claws wrapping tightly around him.
Eddy, still grinning smugly, looks her dead in the eye. "Go on, do it! See what happens."
Laura growls in frustration, her teeth clenched, and drives her claws into his chest—only for her hand to phase through his body. Her eyes widen in shock as the illusion of Eddy fades away.
The real Eddy darts past her in a blur, landing a solid punch across her face.
Meanwhile, Luna, catching her breath after being thrown, pushes herself up. She unfurls both her arms—one fist aiming directly at Laura while the other wraps tightly around the nearby throne. Laura quickly notices the purple and blue threads now stretching across the room. For a brief moment, her attention is drawn to the threads, and Eddy seizes the opportunity. Using the threads for leverage, he sprints toward them, bounces off with precision, and uses the momentum to launch himself at Laura.
As Eddy flies toward her, Jamal pulls out his saxophone and begins playing a calming tune. The haunting melody momentarily disorients Laura, and she almost succumbs to sleep before snapping out of it. But it's too late—Eddy's fist slams into her chest, forcing a mouthful of blood from her lips.
Jamal shifts the tempo, playing a more intense jazz piece. The music radiates power, invigorating Luna. She begins to move with relentless energy, her fists striking rapidly in all directions, filling the room with a chaotic tangle of strings and threads.
Laura struggles to stand, coughing violently as she stumbles around. She takes in the state of her throne room—once pristine, now a disaster of torn banners, tangled threads, and overturned furniture. Suddenly, she feels something wrap around her body, and with startling speed, she is dragged to the center of the room.
Luna pulls her other arm back with all her strength, yanking Laura upward toward the ceiling. The vampire dangles helplessly, suspended in the air, her limbs bound tightly by Luna's threads.
Looking downward, Laura meets Eddy's smirk. He calmly picks up a nearby torch, muttering a quick wind spell to sharpen its end. With a precise throw, Eddy hurls the torch, and it spears her directly through the skull, the tip protruding from the back of her head.
With all her strength, Luna flings her arms toward the door, using it as leverage while pulling with her other hand. The threads constrict tighter and tighter around Laura until, with a sickening snap, the vampire's body splits into several pieces, blood spilling onto the floor in a crimson torrent.
Out of breath, Luna retracts her arms, the threads unraveling back into place. "That took a lot out of me," she mutters, panting heavily. "Good lord, I need to work out more." She forces a smile as Eddy takes a seat, exhausted.
Jamal, sensing the group's fatigue, begins playing a soothing tune on his saxophone. The relaxing melody seems to fill the air with energy, rejuvenating them. It feels as if they've just taken a long, refreshing nap.
"Ah, that feels so much better!" Luna exclaims, stretching her arms with newfound vigor.
Their brief moment of relief is cut short by a shout from behind. "Oi, you three, this fight isn't over yet!" Sunny's voice echoes through the room.
The trio turns in confusion, only to witness a horrifying sight. The pieces of Laura's body begin pulling themselves together, converging on her heart. Her form twists and contorts as she undergoes a grotesque transformation.
In moments, she becomes a monstrous, gigantic bat-like creature, her body rippling with bulging muscles. Her grotesque new form boasts four glowing eyes, and two additional arms erupt from her sides, giving her four in total.
The monstrous Laura lets out a deafening roar that shakes the walls of the room. "I'm going to bathe in your blood!" she bellows, her voice echoing with an unnatural, guttural fury.
Sunny tosses Eddy his equipment with a casual flick of her wrist. "I did some looking around and found your stuff," she says with a smirk.
Eddy catches it and smiles as he straps on his backpack. "Thanks, Sunny. I was starting to feel naked without this."
Laura, now fully transformed into her monstrous form, glares at Luna with a look of pure malice. She points a clawed finger at her and snarls, "I'm going to kill you first, you worthless monkey!"
The group exchanges determined glances, each of them readying themselves for round two with Laura, the vampire.
