Kael's POV
As we pulled into the pack's territory, relief washed over me like a tidal wave. This was safety, or at least the closest thing to it.
The car rolled to a stop in front of the main house, and before Arden could even turn off the engine, Ava was out, helping Lyra step out. Lyra still looked shaken, her steps unsteady, but her expression was blank. She was hiding her emotions well, but I could feel the storm raging inside her through the bond.
I stepped out, watching as Kellan helped Lyra into the villa. She leaned heavily on him, and for once, I didn't feel the urge to tear him away. She needed support, and I'd take anything that eased her pain.
Pack members nearby stopped what they were doing, their eyes narrowing in curiosity as they murmured amongst themselves.
"What's going on?"
"Why does she look so weak?"
"Is something wrong with the Alpha, Beta, and Gamma?"
