Kael's POV
I leaned against the edge of the desk, staring at Ava as she tapped on her phone. My wolf was restless, pacing within me, urging me to move, to act, but we were stuck waiting.
"There's more you need to know," I said after a long silence.
Ava glanced up from her phone, her expression neutral. "What now?"
"Lyra…" I hesitated, unsure how she'd take this. "She's my mate."
Her eyebrows didn't even twitch. "I figured."
I blinked, caught off guard.
"What do you mean you figured? You knew?"
"I didn't know," she clarified, setting the phone down. "But I suspected. The way you're protective of her, the way you act around her... It's kind of obvious if you're paying attention."
My jaw tightened. "And Kellan? Does he know?"
She hesitated, then shrugged. "Probably. He's not an idiot."
