That night, after saying goodbye to Liam, I went straight to take a shower. My body felt dirty, and his scent lingered on me, a reminder of the hours we'd spent together in the laundry room. My legs were still numb and weak from the intimacy we had shared.
As I stood under the hot water, I let it cascade over my body, soothing yet unable to wash away the memory of him.
Liam was my first—and I knew he would be my only. My body bore the rawness of our connection, the trust and vulnerability we had shared etched into my very skin. Even as the water poured over me, I found myself yearning for him, craving his touch and the feel of his lips, though my own were tender and raw from our endless kisses.
I tried to focus, washing my hair and lathering soap over my body, but every movement reminded me of him. When I finished, I dried off, slipped into my nightdress, and made my way to my room.
