Chapter 3 - The Hospital Visit

( The afternoon in Siri's mom's hospital:; )

( Inside the hospital):;

As they stepped into the hospital, The Elite and The Tops were immediately immersed in a world of sterile smells and hushed conversations. The sound of beeping machines and gentle murmurs filled the air, creating a sense of calm and serenity. However, the atmosphere quickly shifted as the hospital staff caught sight of Siri.

Every doctor who saw her greeted Siri with a respectful wai and a warm smile. "Nong Siri, welcome!" they chimed in, their faces filled with admiration and respect. The doctors' eyes lit up as they acknowledged Siri, their expressions revealing a deep-seated affection and reverence for her family.

The Elite members exchanged proud glances, their faces reflecting their elevated status. They stood a little taller, their shoulders back and their heads held high, as they basked in the reflected glory of Siri's family. In contrast, The Tops seethed with jealousy and annoyance, their eyes narrowing as they watched the hospital staff fawn over Siri.

The secretary, a middle-aged woman with a warm smile and a kind face, greeted Siri with a respectful wai. "Nong Siri, it's so nice to see you again," she said, her voice dripping with sincerity.

Siri smiled graciously, her eyes sparkling with warmth. "Thank you, it's nice to see you too," she replied, her voice soft and polite.

The secretary's eyes flicked to the rest of the group, her expression polite but distant. "Nurse, please take them to Ward 19," she instructed, her tone firm but courteous.

The nurse nodded and smiled, her eyes shining with respect. "Yes, ma'am," she replied, her tone deferential. She turned to the group and gestured for them to follow her. "This way, please."

As they entered the elevator, the nurse pressed the button for Ward 19. The doors slid shut, and the elevator began its ascent, the soft hum of the machinery filling the air. The group stood in silence, the tension between them palpable.

Just as they reached the third floor, the doors opened, revealing the principal, who was waiting for the elevator. Her eyes widened as she took in the group, and she stepped aside, allowing them to exit. The principal's face was a mask of calmness, but her eyes betrayed a hint of annoyance.

The group exchanged awkward greetings with the principal, who responded with a curt nod. "I'll take them from here," she told the nurse.

The nurse turned to Siri and asked, "Shall I go, Nong Siri?"

Siri nodded graciously, her expression warm and genuine. "Yes, thank you," she said, her voice soft and polite.

The Tops and the principal exchanged surprised and annoyed glances, clearly taken aback by the nurse's deference to Siri.

As they walked to Ward 19, the principal fell into step beside them. Her face was a mask of calmness, but her eyes betrayed a hint of annoyance.

"I hear you're all going to university now," she said, her voice laced with disdain. "After repeating a grade, no less."

The group exchanged uneasy glances, their faces reflecting their annoyance. Siri raised an eyebrow, her expression curious. "What's your point, principal?" she asked, her tone neutral.

The principal's face darkened, her eyes flashing with anger. "My point is that you're all getting a free pass," she said, her voice trembling with emotion. "You get to go to university, while my son has to fight for his life. He's been in the hospital for almost a year, and now he'll have to redo his grades and start all over again."

Wut spoke up, his voice neutral. "But that's not our fault," he said.

The principal's face turned red with rage, her eyes blazing with fury. "You have no idea how hard it is to see my son struggling, while you're all getting ahead," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. "You have no idea what it's like to be in our shoes. My son is going to have to redo his grades, and then go to university, all while he's still recovering. And you're all just going to waltz into university, without any effort at all."

The group shifted uncomfortably, their faces reflecting their annoyance. The principal's anger was palpable, and it made them all feel uneasy.

"I'm sure it's not easy for you, principal," Siri said, her voice soft and sympathetic. "But Wit wasn't the only one affected."Chan continues

The principal's expression turned cold, her eyes flashing with resentment. "You think you're so smart, don't you, ?" she said, her voice dripping with malice. "You think you can just waltz in here and fix everything with your precious family name?".....
