Chapter 28 - What she wants

Now that she had promised him, she was trapped... This wasn't love... This was her standing by him, showing him that he had someone who could look at him differently—not with the same eyes like the clones, the indifferent gazes people gave him every day.

"It wasn't what I meant at all. I didn't want that. You're misunderstanding," Ivy stammered, looking at him with an excited expression filled with anxiety.

What had she gotten herself into?

Why was the villain so proactive today? She was done for.

"Am I misunderstanding?"

Lucien moved his lips, muttering. His eyes on her were cold.

Ivy just wanted to bite herself. He still didn't believe her. What else could she say? What else could she do?

 

She was stuck in this.The villain was right. It was what she wanted and what she didn't want at the same time.

She was seducing him—seducing him to gain his heart, not this.
