The Nova Corps is an intergalactic peacekeeping force that has protected the galaxy long before the first Quirk. Now, it is about to welcome a new member into its ranks. This is the story of Izuku Midoriya, the Stellar Hero Nova.
Izuku Midoriya age 4
Izuku, do you ever wonder what the stars are like? They seem to dance and glimmer in the sky. Whether they're big or small, they create something greater than the sum of their parts. Whenever you feel lonely, Izuku, look to the sky because the stars will never leave you. And if I'm ever without you or your mother, just know that I'm looking at the stars and thinking of you.
Izuku's eyes glimmered as his emerald gaze stared into the endless sky. "Hey Papa, who protects the stars? Who ensures that I never feel lonely?"
That's where your dad comes in. I ensure that no one threatens the stars and the people who inhabit them. I make it my mission to prevent any bad guys from harming anyone, so the stars can continue to glimmer and dance in the sky.
"You won't have to worry because as long as your dad is around, you'll never feel lonely," Hisashi Midoriya said with a big, goofy grin. "Now it's time for the great evil face to stop the heroic Izuku Midoriya from skipping his bedtime!" Hizashi exclaimed, holding both his hands up and chasing Izuku, who screamed and giggled with delight.
10 years later
Are you looking at the stars, Dad?" Izuku Midoriya pondered as he gazed into the endless sky. Now a young teen, he had developed a fondness for the stars, hoping that if he kept looking at them, one day his father would return.
"Izuku, come in for dinner, honey," his mother called. Ever since her husband's disappearance five years ago, her son had never been the same. Even the news of him being quirkless didn't affect him for more than a couple of weeks.
Hisashi, wherever you are, please be safe for our son.
Izuku started his usual morning routine: a 15-minute shower, followed by washing his hair, brushing his teeth, and a quick 15-minute run. After that, he ate breakfast and finally waved goodbye to his mother then on his way to school.
On his way, he saw Mount Lady, the giant hero, making her debut while also witnessing the wood hero, Kamui Woods, have his spotlight taken from him in the process.
By the time Izuku reached his first period, he was already exhausted. He tuned out his teacher as he explained the job request forms they would be filling out since high school was starting soon. He concluded with a proclamation that it didn't matter because he knew they all wanted to be heroes.
"Hey, teach, don't include me with these losers. I'm going to be number one, not just some lousy extra!" Katsuki Bakugo exclaimed. Izuku's longtime bully and former friend had an ego the size of a mountain and a temper almost as explosive as his quirk.
"Oh, that's right! You're planning to apply to the hero course. You mean the U.A. hero course?" Murmurs and whispers began to spread throughout the class until the teacher spoke up, silencing everyone in a matter of seconds.
"Midoriya, don't you want to apply for the hero course?" The whole class burst out laughing. "Midoriya in the hero course? He thinks he can get in without a quirk!"
Once again, the classroom fell silent as explosive pops filled the air. "Deku, who the hell do you think you are?" I'm the only one from this shitty school who can apply to UA.
You see, Deku, all great heroes have a story. They were the only ones from their school to become heroes and rise to glory. So do me a favor and unapply your quirkless ass.
Now, Bakugo, quiet down. We wouldn't want a disruption flag on your record, now would we? Bakugo gritted his teeth and reluctantly walked back to his desk.
After class, Izuku walked home. He only had ten months left until the U.A. entrance exam, and he had no idea how he was going to pass it. When he walked under an underpass, a manhole cover suddenly popped up. I have to find a body to hide from that freak of nature.
"Ahh perfect-a
medium-sized meat bag don't worry this will be quick and painful"!, as the green ooze-like creature jumped at Izuku his body reacted from his years of teaching from his father
He jumped back before executing a backflip in an impressive display of acrobatics, then kicked away a strand of ooze lunging at him.
As Izuku finally managed to wrap around him, he began struggling. But before the slime villain could do any real damage to Izuku, he heard a familiar voice say, "Fear not because, I am here."
In a blur, izuku was freed from the slime villain's grasp and he watched as a wave of air collapsed and made the slime villain's body go splat.
A 7-foot man stood with a huge smile from ear to ear. He spoke, "Well, young man, I'm glad I got here before he could cause you any harm."
Izuku's eyes lit up. "You're All Might! You're my second favorite hero!" Izuku had the man sign his trusty notebook and helped him collect the slime villain before watching him leave.
What a day! I got to meet the number one hero and saw a new hero debut. What could top this? Izuku heard a loud boom followed by an explosion. His body instinctively moved toward the crowd of people gathered around the noise, only to see Bakugo trapped by the same sludge villain. All Might should have taken him to the police—what happened?
Before he could even think, his body was moving on its own. He was running at full speed towards Bakugo, who looked like he desperately wanted help. Izuku threw his backpack at an incoming slime tendril before sliding under another one. His eyes were the only solid part of his body, Izuku thought. Acting quickly, he performed a roundhouse kick to one eye before using a pencil that had fallen out of his bag to poke the other.
He swiped at another tendril, but one managed to sneak behind him and wrap around him. He feared there would be no All Might to save him this time. Looking up at the stars, he whispered, "Dad, please," before closing his eyes as a star seemed to fall from the sky. Suddenly, the star became clearer; it was a black element with a red cross in the middle before it settled on Izuku's head.
In a brilliant flash of light, Izuku was now in a suit that is a sleek black and yellow design, featuring a glowing star emblem on his chest. The helmet is angular, with an armored look,
What the hell? Izuku thought before he burst out of the tendril with ease, swooping in and ripping Bakugo from the sludge villain.
He felt a strength he had never possessed before as he performed the same feat as All Might. Disrupting the villain's body, and before he could fully comprehend his situation, the media and heroes began to swarm him. "I want to leave," Izuku thought. Suddenly, a blue aura enveloped his body, rocketing him up into the sky and far away from the press.
