As I focused my attention on to the fish I just caught, I think to myself. "Could I compress my flames to the point where it could be used as a spear?" I knew it would not be impossible but at the same time, difficult to accomplish. I brought the fish back to the cave that I reside in. It was nothing special but I could live comfortably in it. I started a fire to cook my fish.
"It seems ready now. Time to eat it." I said as I ate away the fish. I planned to leave this island tomorrow, in hopes of finding new land to settle in. The amount of resources in this island was low and there were dangers lurking everywhere. The only thing saving me from these creatures were my fire-like abilities. As a child, I did not know how to use these powers but as I searched the island, I found a cabin with many books just sitting around. The books contained the language that the people of the world spoke. They also contained a guide on powers known as "Blessings". I think I am one these people with "Blessings", however I am not quite sure myself.
I taught myself how to read and write at a young age. I have read through all the books in the cabin, giving me useful information I need for survival.
Today I plan to build a raft, and set sail to new lands tomorrow. I got the planks and the sail and started working on my raft. After just 2 hours, I have finished building the raft. I knew it would be a long journey so the next thing I should do is to find enough food to last the entire journey. I picked fruits from trees and berries from bushes. Suddenly, I heard a noise coming from a distance. I decided to investigate the source of this sound. As I came closer and closer to the sound, I started to realize that it was a sound of a volcano erupting. I immediately went back to my cave to shelter from the lava that spew from the volcano. However, I only thing I heard after I went in the cave is a roar of a creature. I decided to come back to the source of the sound to investigate the cause of it.
This would go on to be one of the biggest mistakes I have done.
"Wait, what is that thing on top of the volcano? Doesn't it look similar to a creature that I have read in one of the books?"
A Corrupted with the ability to split itself into many smaller versions of itself to throw it's enemy in confusion. The said deity was once the guardian of the island, protecting it from the evil of the outside. However, it got corrupted due to the sheer amount of power coursing through it which it couldn't happen.
The once protector of the island had turn against the thing that it protected. The Corrupted would take a deep slumber inside the depths of the volcano on the island for 10 years until it woke up to cause mass destruction across the island, transforming the once lush-filled land with utter chaos. It would destroy as much of the land it can until it ran out of energy and woulf once again rest in the depths of the volcano residing in the island once more for 10 years.
Today was the day which the Corrupted had reawakened from it's slumber once more...
