Chapter 6 - Burnt to nothingness

The tables had turned. It appears that I have gained a significant boost in power. There was chance I could defeat the Apostle and possibly inherit it's Blessings. Without any hesitations, I summoned a ring of flames around the Apostle. These were no ordinary flames. They were Holy flames which dealt a lot more damage to Corrupteds and stunned them briefly. The Apostle didn't seem to be bothered by the flames though. Instead, it retaliated by spitting out magma from it's mouth. I narrowly escaped the attack however when the magma touched the ground, it spread quickly as if it was like water. I had to find a way to get off the ground.

"Maybe I could focus some of my energy to my shoulder joints and get wings." I thought to myself. I tried and it worked miraculously. The wings were made of blue flames and shone bright in the sky. I soared high into the sky and formed storm clouds. Thunder echoed from the sky as the storm clouds grew in size, nearly cover the entire island.

Seconds later, these storm clouds rained down fire beams into the land. Anything the fire beams touch were turned to ashes. The fire beams which were close to the Apostle seemed to redirect their path and hone in to it. It tried to shield itself from the beams by creating a reflective barrier which would sent back the projectile back to it's attacker. It partially worked and reflected back to me. Thankfully, the beams did not pierce my vital organs and the areas that were pierce were immediately regenerated by casting flames with healing property on the pierced areas. The fire beams eventually pierced through the shield and managed to pierced many holes onto the Apostle's tough body and disintegrated it's insides. It was almost dead. The Apostle's entire body was filled with holes and the it's magma skin has hardened up, making it harder for it to move.

"Blade of Corrupt, may you be set free from the rule of mine. I shall put my soul and heart into thy core. May you go rampant and set everything on chaos."

Those were the last words I heard from the Apostle. It had turned to nothing but just a pile of stone, resembling nothing of it's former self. I felt something enter my body but this wasn't the time to be thinking about that now. The blade the Apostle wielded had stabbed itself onto the ground, surging it with it's energy coming from the core. The whole island shook as more and more energy coursed through. I had to run. The island was on the verge of exploding.

If I were be in the radius of the explosion, I wouldn't live to see an another day. Luckily, I have wings now and no longer needed a raft to leave the island. However, I had to be quick. I spun and soared as fast as I could away from the island. As I flew, I heard a loud explosion behind me. The explosion had set off. I was far enough so that I would not be in the direct impact of the explosion. However, pieces of debris from the explosion had a chance of hitting me.

Luckily, none of the debris hit me. I had finally left the island. As I flew in the sky for hours, I had spotted something. It was land! What will I discover in this new land?

Kaliethe's life would no longer be the same anymore. What adventures and mystery lies on this land? Will he find companions to fight along side with? Will he get answers to questions he has? Or will he face himself on the doorstep of death again?
