A Woman of Satin

In the depth of the night Edith and Audrey were being woken up with freezing water being splashed in their face. Edith springing up from her side of the bed spits out some of the water that was in her mouth. 

"That was so exasperating you know" Audrey says while changing her gown.

"I very much agree" Edith say flicking the light on her side of the bed.

"Well you sleep like a hog" The voice which sounded familiar to her mother.

"Mom", "Mom" Edith and Audrey says in almost harmony.

"What I mean I find it funny that you both snore like hogs and big pigs when you sleep" Elenour says with a grunt like scratchy laugh.

"And you laugh like a old man" Audrey say while Edith tries to hold her laugh back.

"Oh my word Audrey and Edith why are you laughing" Elenour says with a neutral-type expression.

"Oh mother because it's comedy" Edith says turning away getting a new night gown.

 "Get ready for the day I have a surprise for you Edith" Elenour says chuckling in a low tone.

As Elenour leaves the room Audrey and Edith starts to get ready for the day, Edith looking calmly as she gets a red high waisted gown with a black bow and gold sparkles, and her hair put into a high bun with two strands in the front. Audrey grabs a light pink pastel gown with a white bow in the back and a gold type waistband, she fixes her curls to perfection and puts them back into a ponytail with one strand at the front also along with a medium sized white bow in the back. 

"I wonder what she has planned for you, you know I think she's setting you up not for failure though." Audrey says faintly smiling.

"I do to remember last time when she got both of us a surprise and it ended up being a irritating little brother." Edith say chuckling.

"Speaking of which where is Theodore anyways?" Audrey says curious of where Theodore is.

"Last I saw him he was rummaging through the pantry looking for his box of Hibiscus tea" Edith says as she continues fixing up her gown.

"Well shall we go see?" Audrey says looking at Edith with a expression that says "Do I have to?". But when the girls go downstairs into the kitchen everything is thrown across the floor along with the sound of irritated grunting.

"Oh where is it where is my tea my sweet Hibiscus tea" Theodore says rummaging through the pantry.

Elenour comes from outside "Girls the carriage is here don't worry about your brother he's just not looking hard enough, Come on girls the horses won't take a empty carriage".

"Oh mother why should you set Edith up with that pig looking man he practically lives in the woods he's like wolf in a sheep's clothing but the other way around" Theodore say still looking for his tea.

"Oh you just don't get it do you Theo sweety" Elenour says going to the door opening it "And Theo the tea is in the storage we moved things around". 

"MOTHER SERIOUSLY I SWEAR GODNABIT..." Theo says as it fades once the door closes.

Elenour walks to the carriage sighing.

"Oh Edith the surprise I have for you"
