Lucas woke up from a long sleep as the anesthetic wore off. He frowned when he saw a room he didn't recognize. He quickly got up from his sleeping position, frowning when he felt his wrists and legs bound.
Lucas looked down at his hands which turned out to be bound with handcuffs but the handcuffs were attached with a long chain so that he could change his position from sleeping to sitting "Damn! What happened?" he asked angrily. He held his head which was throbbing with pain from the anesthetic injected into him.
Someone walked into the room Lucas was staying in, making Lucas stare angrily at the person. The person was wearing a mask and his voice was disguised with a voice changer so Lucas didn't recognize the person who was currently talking to him.
"You've finally come to your senses," the man said.
"What do you want?" asked Lucas with a bold look.
"What's the rush? Take it easy, we still have plenty of time. Moreover, you are now a murder suspect, so relax first," said the person then the person laughed behind his mask.
"Finally after all this time, you are here. I can't wait to see you feel what my sister once felt," the person said.
"Goddamn it, who's your sister? I've never had to deal with the sister of a lunatic like you!" fumed Lucas.
"Hahaha... be patient, I told you so you'll find out. So, just wait," the man said and walked out of the room.
Lucas yelled and cursed in frustration as he tried to pull his hands free from the handcuffs. Unfortunately, he found it difficult to get the cuffs off. He also tried to kick his legs hard to get the cuffs off but all that happened was that his legs and wrists hurt. Lucas paused and wondered how to get the cuffs off his hands and feet. He looked at the cuffs on his wrists and tried to see if there was a slight flaw so that he could remove them. As long as he looked at the handcuffs, he couldn't find any way to get them off. Cursing and trying to pull what he could, he injured his wrists.
Two people came in because they heard the noise from the room Lucas was in. "Eat this and don't move around too much or do you want to get your hands cut off?" the bodygurd asked as he set down a plate of food and drink for Lucas. They hadn't just come because of Lucas' ruckus, but to feed and water him.
Lucas gave him an annoyed look and threw a tray of food and drink at him. "Tsk! Being given food is ungrateful!" one of the bodyguards shouted.
"Leave it alone, if he faints tomorrow let him feel it," said another bodyguard. They left and let Lucas run amok.
Lucas eventually tired himself out and fell asleep. As the day wore on, a noise from outside woke Lucas up. He slowly sat up and looked at the entrance to his room. No one was there, but there was already a commotion outside. Two bodyguards came inside, they again brought food for Lucas, but this time it wasn't just food, but he also brought Haisley, who had her hands bound with handcuffs. They roughly pushed Haisley's body onto the bed until it collided with Lucas' body, causing Lucas to fall back asleep."Eat, before you die!" the bodyguard said and placed the tray of food and drink on the bed.
The bodyguard now placed handcuffs on Haisley's legs with a long chain connected to the iron so that Haisley could not escape. "Make sure you eat, because after this I'm sure you'll die if you don't replenish your energy," the bodyguard said with a mocking smile.
After finishing taking care of Lucas and Haisley and telling them to eat, the two bodyguards left. Haisley had already straightened up, and so had Lucas, who had seated himself properly. "What did they do to you?" Lucas asked.
"Nothing, sir, they just cuffed my hands and feet like they did to you," Haisley replied.
"Sir, you should eat," Haisley continued to say.
"Are you stupid? They must have poisoned that food!" fumed Lucas as he glared at Haisley.
"They said we'd rather eat than die. They didn't put poison in the food, sir. I ate yesterday, and nothing happened to me, sir," Haisley said, looking at Lucas timidly.
Lucas looked at Haisley from the top of his head to his cuffed feet. It was true that there was nothing injured about Haisley's body. "After eating, did you feel so sleepy that you couldn't stand?" asked Lucas as he squinted his eyes.
Haisley shook his head. "Not at all, sir. After eating, I wasn't sleepy at all. I stayed awake long enough to listen to that old curse last night until you fell asleep, and then I went to bed," Haisley replied.
"From last night? So, you're just keeping quiet, huh?" asked Lucas angrily.
"I'm sorry, sir, but I didn't know what to do. My hands are cuffed with a chain attached to the iron. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't get the cuffs off even if I tried. The handcuffs are designed to be small enough that even if I try to shrink my palms, I won't be able to get them out," Haisley replied timidly.
"You should eat, sir. You'll have more energy," Haisley said.
"You eat! I don't want to eat!" said Lucas.
"Sir, I have..." Haisley said, which stopped.
Haisley brought her face close to Lucas's ear. "When I was transported here, the two bodyguards who escorted me had the key to the handcuffs." It was placed in the waist area at the back of them. If they come back in, I'll try to retrieve it with the master paralyzing them. Even if our hands and feet are cuffed, I'm sure you can handle them," Haisley whispered as she quickly climbed on top of Lucas when the door to the room was heard opening.
