Chapter 4 - The Path to Proof and Training

One day Choi Sang Woo received a phone call that surprised him. The call came from the head office where he used to work as a detective. The voice on the other end of the line sounded familiar, yet firm.

"Choi Sang Woo, we would like you to return to work as a detective. We need your skills," the voice said hopefully.

Choi Sang Woo let out a long breath. "I know, you remember why I was fired, right? Bribery allegations that were never proven. I can't just go back after everything that happened."

"It's true, those allegations tarnished your name," the voice replied gently. "However, after the change of leader in this department, we believe you can make a greater contribution. We know your abilities. And more importantly, we need you to handle increasingly complicated cases."

Choi Sang Woo was silent for a moment, thinking hard. Since his dismissal, his life had been uncertain. All the jobs he got were never what they used to be, when he worked as a top detective. Realizing that this was an opportunity that might not come again, he finally said, "Okay, I'll come back. But I have a condition."

"Whatever it is, we will fulfill it. The important thing is that you come back," the voice replied quickly.

After that conversation, Choi Sang Woo felt that the burden that had been pressing on him was lifted a little. Returning to work as a detective was not only about finding the truth in complicated cases, but also about regaining the honor he had lost.

The following days he began to return to the old office, which was now led by a new leader who was more open and had a fairer perspective towards him. Choi Sang Woo is given the opportunity to handle big cases involving influential people, including a case related to Kang Min's family.

However, despite returning to work, he knew that he had to be careful. Every step he takes must now be more careful. Moreover, he begins to sense suspicious movements around Kim Dal and Soo Hyuk who are now attracting more and more attention in the big case he is investigating.

With a renewed determination and a desire to make amends, Choi Sang Woo decides to move forward, even though he knows that the truth he seeks could be very dangerous-especially if it involves people he cares deeply about.

On the other hand, after getting the news from Choi Sang Woo, Kang Min decided to go to the boxing training ground. But before that, he had something more important to do. He felt the need to talk directly to his brother, Kang Soo Hyuk, who was now the CEO of a big company.

Kang Min parked his motorcycle in a relaxed style in front of his brother's luxurious company building. He looked at the tall building with a bit of awkwardness, but also with a lot of confidence. "I'm cooler than this building," he muttered quietly before taking off his helmet and putting it on the bike.

With confident strides, he entered the building. The few employees who saw him walk through the lobby immediately glanced at him. Some even stopped for a moment, unable to believe the confident aura radiating from Kang Min. "How come he seems more suitable to be the CEO than our boss?" an employee whispered to his colleague.

Kang Min ignored their glances. He kept walking, even throwing his hands behind his back while glancing at the glass of the building, making some people flabbergasted. "Maybe I can be a model?" he thought, while still stepping casually towards the elevator.

After arriving at the right floor, Kang Min walked straight into the CEO's office without any guards stopping him. The door opened, and he immediately stepped in, sitting in a cocky style on the soft chair in the room, without even asking for permission.

Kang Soo Hyuk who was busy with his work just looked at his sister with a tired look but also a slight smile. "You really don't know your manners, Min?" he asked while looking at his younger brother who was relaxing in his chair.

Kang Min looked at his brother seriously. "Do you know why I came here? You need to stop thinking about Kim Dal! She's not a good person for you, hyung!"

Kang Soo Hyuk looked at his brother calmly, as usual, not getting carried away. "What are you saying, Min? Why are you forbidding me? She's really nice, and I already know about she's job."

Kang Min couldn't contain his irritation. "You idiot, hyung! She's not in love with you! She just wants to take advantage of you!" Kang Min almost shouted, releasing the anger that had been building up for a long time.

Kang Soo Hyuk only smiled slightly. "What do you know, Min? You're just my younger brother, you don't know anything about Kim Dal," he replied with a calm smile.

Kang Min brought his face closer to the table, looking at his brother with determination. "Anyway, I'll get strong evidence, and you'll believe me. I won't let you fall into his trap!" he said, his voice deeper and full of conviction.

Hearing that, Kang Soo Hyuk just nodded slowly. "If you have evidence, bring it. But don't bother me, Min."

Kang Min stood up and walked out of the room confidently, but this time he knew that his journey wasn't over yet. There was still a big mystery to unravel-and he wouldn't stop until his brother opened his eyes about Kim Dal.

Just as Kang Min stepped out of the company building, his cell phone rang loudly. Without looking at who was calling, he picked it up quickly, in a bit of a hurry.

"Min! What have you been doing? I've been waiting for you at the gym for almost an hour, hurry up and come, there's no time to relax!" his boxing trainer's voice came over the phone, very loud and full of scolding.

Kang Min snorted for a moment, but immediately replied in a relaxed tone, "Take it easy, coach. I just finished talking to hyung, you know family matters aren't easy, right?"

The coach just sighed. "I understand that, Min, but you can't keep running away from practice. You'll fall behind, and I don't want to see you become a wreck just because you're thinking too much about adult problems!"

Kang Min laughed lightly. "I won't become a scrap, coach. Besides, boxing isn't just about physicality, sometimes you need to use your brain too. I'm thinking about big plans in my head."

"Big plans? What action movie do you think you're in? Hurry up and go to the gym or I'll have Lee Chae Seok replace you," threatened his coach, clearly unforgivable.

"Crazy, coach! You want me to lose to Lee Chae Seok? He can only throw punches, while I'm better at strategy!" replied Kang Min, slightly joking.

His coach laughed, but his voice remained serious. "You think I don't know, that's why you have to train, so that your muscles are ready for all your plans! Hurry to the gym!"

Kang Min sighed. "Okay-okay, I'm leaving now, coach. But you know, boxing also needs a brain break, right? I can't just think about boxing all the time!"

The coach grumbled again. "Alright, but hurry. If you're late again, I can punish you. This training is for serious people, Min!"

After the phone was disconnected, Kang Min looked up at the sky for a moment, contemplating. "Serious, huh? Alright, for the coach's sake, I'll practice... but I still have to bring this plan to light. No one can stop me!" he thought as he walked toward the boxing gym with determined steps.
