Ethan Pov:
I could hardly sleep throughout the rest of the week and the weekend, and when it was finally Monday. I dressed up in my new suit that I had to take a loan from my sis to go get at the mall three days ago.
Left the house exactly 6:00am in the morning and was already there before 7:15am.
The securities and the cleaners were the only ones around during that time, so I waited for forty-five minutes before people started showing up.
The anxiety that everything was a prank was killing me inside but an attractive young lady who was walking towards me with a smiling face gave me some hope. I don't mind bending her over though.
"Good morning Mr. Robbins." She said while stretching out her hand for a handshake.
'Good morning.'
"It is nice meeting you. I am Miss Rockson but call me Jullie. I am Ms Grey secretary."
'Nice meeting you too and feel free to call me Ethan.'
"Okay Ethan. Let me show you to your office."
We took the lift and stopped on the fifth floor. When went down the hall way until she stopped in front of a door which she opened.
"This is your office and the other one is for Ms, Grey." She said pointing at another door which could be found inside my office.
'Oh, okay. So, the boss will have to make use of this door?'
"Not necessary. That is if she wants to."
'What do you mean?'
"She has her own door but she can still make use of this one if she wants to."
'Oh, ok.' I said digesting in the information.
"This is her schedule for this week and next week." She said putting down some of the files she was carrying earlier on.
'Alright.'
"Have a nice day."
'You too.'
I sat down on my comfortable office chair and felt how smooth the leather was with my hands before calling Austin to inform him that it was not a prank as we had thought it will be.
I called once, since he didn't answer I knew he might be busy so I decided to send him a message instead.
'Not a prank but still don't understand what is going on. I am going to update you as soon as everything is clear to me.'
I did a quick scan through the flies and later decided to get myself something to eat since I had to get here very early and didn't get to have breakfast at home.
I stepped out of my office and had hardly taken my third step before I quickly rushed back inside and jamming the door with my foot.
'Holy molly, what in the world is she doing here? How can this be happening right now! What am I going to do now? How will be able to look at her face without having weird thought about her?'
Knock knock
"Mr. Robbins? A way too familiar voice that has been bothering me every single night since our time together said.
'Damn Ethan, what have you done to yourself?' I asked myself. My heartbeat was raising so fast I could swear the girl at the other side of the door could hear it. I was sweating even though the AC was at 16 degrees and I was so sure I was having a panic attack. I t happens when my brain is having too much to process.
"Mr. Robbins!"
'How are you going to survive other days if you can't survive just today at work.' I thought and gathered all my strength in me to take my leg off the door and opened it.
"Are you alright?" Was being asked a question but to know who it was, that I didn't know because my vision was blur. And was not able to identify the person.
"Mr. Robbibs look at me! Can you see me? Can you hear me?" The person was asking.
"Mr. Robbins"
Now my vision was back to normal and I was able to identify the person in front of me, asking questions. I pretended not to hear anything and used the opportunity to take in everything that was happening in front of me.
I was sitting the ground and the familiar face with a worried expression was looking down on me.
"Mr. Robbins! Can you hear me?" The lady asked again.
It was the nameless lady whom I had spent a night with a week ago.
"Mr. Robbins!" She said again and then something moved underneath my shirt. I rotated my eyes from left to right to understand what just happened and almost screamed when everything became clear.
So, Ethan you are not sitting on the ground like you had thought but rather on your office couch with her so close to that you can even breath in her smell. I thought and stylishly shifted away from her and adjusted my shirt.
'Thanks.'
"What happened."
"I was knocking and you weren't answering so, I came in using my door and saw you sitting on the ground."
'Oh, thank you.'
"Like I have said you don't have to." She said while getting up. "You must be Mr. Robbins?" She said formally. Ah, too formal for my liking.
'Yes, I am.'
"I am Zephyr Grey." She said and went inside her office. My eyes were round as a saucer when what she said settled in.
'Holy shit dude!' Did she just say she is Zephyr Grey! How can that be possible. So, Ethan you had a one-night stand with a billionaire. Damn guy, you should have seen this coming.'
I went to my desk and took my phone to text Austin when another phone rang.
'Hello.'
"Let Ms. Lawson in as soon as she is here.
'Alright ma.' I said and dropped the phone back down.
I dropped my phone and sat down on my leather chair to differentiate between the woman I met a week ago with the woman I just saw now. Who acted as if we have never met before.
'Dude, I am in deep trouble.' I texted it to Austin, who texted back instantly. I was about to read his message when someone entered the office.
'Good morning.' I said with a smiling face.
"Good morning. Are you the latest?" The beautiful lady asked and I am sure she is British.
Am the latest! What in hells name does that mean?
'I am Ethan. The new assistant. Ms. Grey is waiting for you ma.'
"Alright." She said before eating me up with her eyes and licking the bottom of her lips. Got to say, she is bold.
I pulled out my phone when I was done going to the files that was giving to me by Jullie and check Austin message.
"What is the problem? Hope you didn't do anything stupid."
"Dude is everything ok, are you going to reply or not."
'Everything is going to be' I texted him back and hid my phone when I heard footsteps. I bent my heard to the flies in front of me and stylishly watched as Ms Grey and Ms Lawson came out of the office together.
"When did he start?" Ms Lawson quietly asked but I heard it.
"Today."
Ms. Lawson asked another question which I was unable to make out. "Ask no more." Zephyr replied and walked out of the office before Ms. Lawson could ask her any more questions.
Ms Lawson looked at my side, winked at me and licked her lips before going after Zephyr.
During lunch break, I went to a nearby restaurant and ordered a burger and diet coke would have gone for some OJ but they were out. Was about to stat eating when a beautiful lady came up to me with her tray.
"Can I join you?" she asked.
"Yes sure."
"I am Jean from the finance department."
"Nice meeting you."
'Nice meeting you too.'
We chatted throughout our meal and exchanged phone numbers on our way back to the office.
Fifteen minutes before closing, I received a strange call from the office phone.
'This is Ethan from Grey Enterprise, what can I do for you.
"Direct me to Zephyr." A male voice commanded which mademe to almost laugh out for his hearing. Barking like a chihuahua. Give him some credit for trying to sound manly.
'Who will I say is speaking?'
"Just direct my call now."
'I am sorry but I need a name to know who is speaking.'
"Tell her it is Tim."
"Alright, hang on, I will get back to you in a few.' I said and called Zephyr.
"Tell him to make an appointment." Was Zephyr order. Tough break dude.
I unmuted Tim's call and passed the information down to him.
"Tell her it's urgent for us to talk." He said desperately.
'Ms. Grey is unavailable for more calls; would you like to make an appointment?'
"Alright, when is she free." He said in a surrender voice.
'Her schedule is pretty open for upper next week."
"Alight, ten on Friday.'
