In the Battle Simulation, Chaldea

The plains stretched endlessly before them, the soft hum of the wind carrying the tension of the upcoming clash. A soft breeze brushed past the two figures standing across from one another.

Artoria Pendragon stood with her holy sword Excalibur raised in a ready stance, her shining armor catching the sunlight and casting glimmers of golden light. Her expression was calm, the weight of her history as the King of Knights evident in her unwavering posture.

On the opposite side, Charles I stood tall, despite his youthful frame. His white-hilted sword gleamed in his hand, reflecting not only the sunlight but also his unyielding resolve as a king. His blue eyes locked with Artoria's, both rulers sizing each other up, the weight of their shared purpose creating an unspoken tension in the air.

With a sudden motion, Artoria moved first. Her blade sliced through the air, a sharp whistle preceding her swift and decisive strike.

Charles reacted instantly, sidestepping with surprising swiftness for his size. His sword met hers with a resounding clash, the sound of steel on steel reverberating across the field.

"You are skilled," Artoria said, taking a step back to reassess him. "You fight like one who has experienced the horrors of war firsthand."

Charles smirked, youthful arrogance and confidence dancing in his gaze. "And here I thought the great King of Knights would recognize her equal sooner. Let me show you why they call me the Master of All Weapon."

With that, Charles's sword shimmered in his hand, its shape warping and shifting as he effortlessly transformed it into a spear. His small frame moved with incredible grace as he spun the spear through the air, launching a series of rapid, precise thrusts at Artoria.

Artoria's sword met each thrust with practiced ease, but the force of Charles's strikes pushed her back, forcing her to adjust her stance. She stepped forward, attempting to close the gap, but Charles's spear kept her at bay.

Sensing an opening, Artoria lunged, her sword slashing upward toward Charles. He narrowly avoided the strike, summoning a shield mid-movement to block the follow-up blow. The shield absorbed the force of Excalibur's strike, and Charles used the momentum to roll backward, creating some distance between them.

"Impressive," Artoria admitted, her gaze softer now, though still focused.

Charles chuckled, his youthful energy undiminished as he gripped his shield tightly, then swiftly transformed it into a bow. His confident smile never faltered.

"Let's see how well you fare against this."

He drew an ethereal arrow, infused with magical energy, and released it in a single fluid motion. The arrow sped toward Artoria with remarkable precision, its energy crackling in the air. Artoria responded instantly, raising Excalibur to block the attack.

The collision sent a shockwave rippling through the battlefield, the force of their exchange stirring the grass around them.

Artoria, undeterred, advanced once again with a flurry of calculated strikes. Her movements were swift and purposeful, as if she were testing Charles's limits. Charles, for his part, switched the bow back into a sword with a fluid motion, his body flowing with the rhythm of battle as he parried each of her attacks.

The sounds of their blades clashing filled the air, a constant rhythm as they exchanged blow for blow. Both were masterful in their art of combat, refusing to yield to the other. The tension between them grew, a blend of rivalry and respect.

As the battle reached its peak, Charles, breathing heavily but with a grin on his face, took a step back. Raising his hand forward, his voice carried the weight of a ruler's resolve.

"Let's end this properly."

His words were quiet but filled with a commanding presence, and as he spoke, the world around him seemed to hold its breath.

"The Valor of Conquest!"

A radiant aura enveloped him, the energy crackling and swirling around his form. His sword transformed once more, its white hilt glowing with an inner light. In an instant, the blade shifted into a massive halberd, its long shaft gleaming under the sun. The weapon seemed perfectly suited to counter Artoria's powerful strikes, a perfect embodiment of Charles's adaptability in battle.

Charles charged forward, his movements precise and fluid, his halberd cutting through the air with a deadly arc. Artoria quickly adapted, raising Excalibur to block, but the reach and power of Charles's halberd forced her onto the defensive. The ground beneath them seemed to tremble with each clash.

Artoria's determination shone through as she adjusted her stance, her grip tightening on Excalibur. "You're strong, Charles, but a king's strength is measured by more than their blade!"

Golden light radiated from her as she activated her Noble Phantasm.

"Ex—calibur!"

The holy sword's blade shone with unimaginable brilliance, a beam of pure energy cutting through the air as it surged toward Charles. The impact was deafening, the force of the attack overwhelming. Charles braced himself, using his halberd to deflect as much of the holy sword's power as he could. The collision sent a shockwave through the entire battlefield, the earth quaking as the two Noble Phantasms clashed in an explosion of light.

When the dust settled, both combatants stood apart, their breathing heavy but steady. The landscape around them was scarred, and the echoes of their battle lingered in the air.

Charles grinned, lowering his weapon with a satisfied breath. "You're every bit as strong as the stories say, Artoria. I guess I shouldn't have underestimated the King of Knights."

Artoria smiled faintly, her expression softening as she lowered Excalibur.

"And you've proven yourself worthy of the title Master of All Weapon. For someone so young, you fight with the heart of a true ruler."

Charles's grin widened, his youthful bravado still strong despite the intensity of the fight. "Let's call this a draw, shall we?"

Artoria nodded, her gaze reflecting mutual respect.

"A draw, for now. Until we meet again."

The two kings, their rivalry tempered by respect, turned and walked away from the battlefield, the memory of their clash settling into the land—and into their hearts.

Author's Notes:I think Charles I's current stats and abilities are well-balanced, reflecting his adaptability and the versatile use of weapons. His class as a Saber fits well with his overall combat style, but if you're considering switching it, perhaps Rider or Lancer could work too, especially given his skill with a range of weapons.

Hmm what you think about this?
