Sierra's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Patriarch Magnus step out of the car, his eyes scanning the surroundings before landing on her. He smiled, a small, enigmatic smile, and began to walk towards her. Sierra's instincts told her to be wary, but she stood her ground, her eyes never leaving his. She was curious about what he wanted, and she wasn't about to back down.
"Patriarch Magnus," she said, her voice neutral, as he approached her.
"What brings you here?" She didn't bother to hide her skepticism, and Patriarch Magnus chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Just out for a drive, Sierra," he said, his voice smooth.
"I saw you and thought I'd stop to say hello. And perhaps... discuss a few things." He paused, his eyes locked on hers, and Sierra felt a shiver run down her spine. She had a feeling that she wasn't going to like what he had to say.
Sierra raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical.
"What things?" she asked, her voice firm but polite. She wasn't interested in playing games with Patriarch Magnus, and she wanted to get straight to the point. Patriarch Magnus smiled again, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Oh, just a few... business matters," he said, his voice dripping with innuendo.
"I hear you've been doing quite well for yourself, Sierra. You've certainly... risen to the top." He paused, his eyes roving over her face.
"I must admit, I'm impressed. You're not the same timid little girl you used to be."
Sierra's eyes narrowed, her anger rising. She didn't like the way Patriarch Magnus was talking about her, and she especially didn't like the way he was looking at her. She felt a surge of pride and defiance, and she stood up straight, her shoulders back.
"I'm not timid, Patriarch Magnus," she said, her voice firm.
"I'm just... focused. And I'm not interested in playing games with you. What do you want?"
"Let's eat dinner."
Sierra's eyes widened in surprise at Patriarch Magnus's sudden suggestion.
"Dinner? With you?" She raised an eyebrow, her tone skeptical.
"Why would I want to do that?"
Patriarch Magnus chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Oh, come now, Sierra. Don't be like that. I'm not as bad as you think I am. And I promise, it'll be a... enlightening conversation." He smiled, his voice taking on a persuasive tone.
"Besides, I have some information that I think you'll find... interesting. About your past, perhaps."
Sierra's eyes narrowed, her instincts on high alert. What could Patriarch Magnus possibly know about her past that she didn't already know? And why was he being so... friendly all of a sudden? She didn't trust him, not one bit. But a part of her was curious, and she found herself hesitating.
"What kind of information?" she asked, her voice cautious. Patriarch Magnus smiled again, his eyes glinting with triumph.
"Ah, that would be telling. But I think you'll find it... worth your while. Shall we?" He gestured towards a nearby restaurant, and Sierra found herself following him, despite her reservations.
Sierra followed Patriarch Magnus into the restaurant, her senses on high alert. She didn't like this one bit, but she was determined to see it through. They were shown to a private room, and Patriarch Magnus gestured for her to take a seat. Sierra sat down, her eyes never leaving his face.
"So, what is it that you want to tell me?" she asked, her voice firm. Patriarch Magnus smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Ah, patience, Sierra. All in good time. First, let's order. I'm buying." He signaled to the waiter, and they ordered their meals. Sierra chose something light, her appetite not exactly keen. Patriarch Magnus, on the other hand, ordered a large steak, his eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"So, Sierra," he said, as they waited for their food to arrive. "I hear you're doing quite well for yourself. You've got a good business going, and you're respected in your field. You've even got a few... admirers." He raised an eyebrow, his eyes glinting with interest.
"What are you getting at?" Sierra asked, her voice sharp. She didn't like the way Patriarch Magnus was looking at her, and she didn't like the way he was talking about her. She felt a surge of anger, and she had to force herself to stay calm.
"Oh, just making conversation," Patriarch Magnus said, his voice innocent. "I'm just curious about you, Sierra. You're a very... fascinating woman." He leaned forward, his eyes locked on hers.
"And I think we could help each other out. I have something you want, and you have something I want."
Sierra's eyes narrowed, her mind racing. What could Patriarch Magnus possibly have that she wanted? And what could she possibly have that he wanted? She didn't like this one bit, but she was determined to see it through.
"Sir I dislike you nor do I want to be around you."
"Miss Sierra I have taken a liking to you," Patriarch Magnus said and touched Sierra soft long black hair her eyes became cold as ice.
Patriarch Magnus's eyes gleamed with amusement, his smile growing wider.
"Ah, Sierra, you're so... spirited," he said, his voice dripping with condescension. "I like that about you. You're not like the other women I've met, so meek and submissive. You're... refreshing."
Sierra's eyes narrowed, her anger boiling over.
"I'm not some plaything for you to amuse yourself with," she snapped, her voice rising.
"I'm a person, with my own thoughts and feelings. And I don't want anything to do with you."
Patriarch Magnus chuckled, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Oh, but you're so wrong, Sierra," he said, his voice low and husky.
"You're exactly what I've been looking for. And I always get what I want."
Sierra's face went cold, her heart racing with fear. She knew that she had to get away from Patriarch Magnus, before he did something she couldn't handle. She stood up, her eyes locked on his.
"I'm leaving," she said, her voice firm.
"And I don't want to see you again."
Patriarch Magnus's smile grew wider, his eyes gleaming with triumph.
"Oh, but you will, Sierra," he said, his voice dripping with menace.
"You will."
"Patriarch Magnus please pay attention to your fiancé not a wild woman like me who has no talent," Sierra said her voice in a whisper she stared at him with her beautiful eyes and Patriarch Magnus reached over and rubbed her cheek she grew angry.
Sierra's eyes flashed with anger, her face burning with indignation.
"Don't touch me," she hissed, jerking her head away from his hand. She stood up, her voice firm.
"I need to leave, now."
Patriarch Magnus's eyes gleamed with amusement, but he didn't try to stop her. He simply nodded, his smile still plastered on his face.
"Very well, Sierra. But this isn't the last you've seen of me. I'll make sure of it."
Sierra's eyes narrowed, her heart racing with unease. She turned and walked away, her long black hair swaying behind her. She could feel Patriarch Magnus's eyes on her, and it made her skin crawl.
As she reached the door, she heard Patriarch Magnus's voice behind her.
"Sierra?"
She turned, her eyes flashing with annoyance.
"What?"
Patriarch Magnus's smile grew wider.
"Don't think you can escape me that easily. I'll be seeing you again, soon."
Sierra's face went cold, her heart racing with fear. She turned and walked out of the room, leaving Patriarch Magnus and his sinister smile behind.
Patriarch Magnus waved his finger and a man appeared from the shadow.
"Yes Patriarch Magnus?"
"Follow her and keep her safe."
The man nodded and disappeared into the shadows, his eyes fixed on Sierra as she walked away. Patriarch Magnus smiled to himself, a satisfied glint in his eye.
"She's not going to get away from me that easily," he muttered to himself.
The man, dressed in dark clothing, followed Sierra from a distance, his eyes never leaving her back. He moved silently, his footsteps quiet on the floor. Sierra, unaware of the man's presence, walked quickly, her heart still racing from her encounter with Patriarch Magnus.
As she turned a corner, the man followed, his eyes scanning the area for any potential threats. He was a skilled bodyguard, trained to protect his charges at all costs. And Patriarch Magnus had made it clear that Sierra was to be protected at all costs.
Sierra walked out of the building, into the cool night air. The man followed, his eyes scanning the crowded streets. He spotted a few suspicious characters, but they seemed to be just ordinary pedestrians. He relaxed slightly, his eyes still fixed on Sierra's back.
Sierra hailed a taxi and got in, the man following closely behind. He got into a second taxi, his eyes fixed on the first one as it pulled away from the curb. He gave the driver a curt instruction, and the taxi followed Sierra's, keeping a safe distance.
The man's eyes never left Sierra's taxi, his mind focused on keeping her safe. He was determined to follow Patriarch Magnus's orders, no matter what.
