Trevor and Elena moved cautiously through the winding underground tunnels beneath Blackthorn. The faint glow of runes on the walls cast eerie reflections, and the air was heavy with magic and the distant echo of whispers.
"This place doesn't feel right," Elena said, her voice low but tense. Her spear was gripped tightly in her hands, its silver tip catching the faint light.
Trevor nodded, his crimson eyes scanning the surroundings. "We're close. Stacy and Dexter came this way, and whatever happened to them, it started here."
The whispers grew louder as they pressed on, the runes along the walls flaring brighter with each step. At the end of the tunnel, they came upon a massive cavern. Its floor was marked with glowing sigils, and the air crackled with residual energy.
