Chapter 32 - Valois

"Hector!!" The loud voice of the Deacon reverberated across the entire hall as the first name was called.

It was a boy who worked in a cloth shop in the city. The hall was completely silent as the sixteen year old boy stood up; his legs were trembling as he made his way towards the platform. Aside from the Priest and the Deacon, a few others were standing there.

The Deacon was standing at the corner of the platform while the Priest stood on one side of the table, which was placed at the center of the platform.

On the table lay a box filled with some kind of leaves. Just a little further away from the box was a metallic plate with a hand symbol on it.

Aside from the table lay a vertical scale; numbers were mentioned on one side while some sort of fluid was filled on the other side.
