Chapter 1 - First Entry, Hired Blade.

"An era of gold, fall down slowly. As sin takes place, the worst. Treason, betrayal, life at stake. An act, played horribly, the downfall of the god of fate. ironic, is it not?"

Skelm sits by the fire place, the fire dancing beautifully and brightly as its light fills the empty quiet night in the deep woods of Halsted. Skelm is a fearsome mercenary and received a contract to take out a group of bandits terrorizing Autumnhill, a small town near the woods of Halsted. Skelm tracked down the bandits to an old abandoned cave, Skelm made some preparations before setting out to go take out the atrocious bandits. Skelm put out the fire and started to head to the cave, upon arriving to the entrance of the cave, Skelm took a look at the cave. It was dark and cold, but Skelm could just barely make out a small light from inside.

Skelm took a deep breath and walked inside, Skelm took a look around the cave, watching the small critters scrambling away from the rather large humanoid creature that is a dragon-human hybrid. Skelm makes a stop as soon as she hears chatter "Damn it's cold down here, we couldn't even get some warmer clothes while raiding Autumnhill? We're living like rats down here," Skelm peeked around a corner and saw two bandits, a human and an elf. "Stop complaining, we'll get out of here soon enough, just be patient you dumb tree-fucker." Said the human, Skelm readied her blade, trying to find the perfect chance to attack. She picks up a rock and tosses it, the rock skips across the sharp edges of the cave, it catches the attention of the bandits and they quickly look around.

"What the.. what was that?" The bandits look at each other before getting up and going to go investigate the noise, Skelm takes this chance to quickly and quietly make her way over to one of the bandits, she puts her hand over one of the bandits mouth and piercing his back with her sword. He lets out a muffled scream as he's caught by surprise, he looks down at the blade and tries to fight with the very last of his strength, though his attempts are futile as his energy slowly starts to fade and his eyes slowly start to close. Skelm drops him quietly on the floor, "hey! Ives, you find anything yet?" The elf says, he sighs when he hears no response "did you hear me?" He turns around, only to be greeted by a torch being thrown at him, his eyes widen and he quickly goes up in flames. He screams in sheer horror, running around, trying to set the fire out before tripping and hitting his head against a sharp rock. Skelm prays that no one heard the yell and continues to go on further down the cave, she walks for a tiny bit before stumbling upon a couple more bandits.

She counts a good dozen bandits, she thinks of how to approach this fight. After some thinking, she decides to try and take out as many as possible quietly, so she pulls out her crossbow and scans for a potential target, she looks for any straying away too far from the rest, she spots a couple and pulls the trigger on all of them. Finding success, she puts away her crossbow and runs closer towards the rest of the bandits, she cut down the group by half. She readies herself for the upcoming attack and takes out her blade, she takes one last breath before running towards the bandits. They are caught off guard as Skelm decapitates one of the bandits and kicking the headless body against another bandit. "Holy fuck, get her!" The bandits run at her, Skelm kicks the first bandit in the knee, making him stumble back a bit.

Skelm bashes her sword handle on another bandits head and slicing his lower arm off, he shrieks in pain while gripping the rest of his remaining arm, he tries to run away but he's met with a crossbow shot to the head. One bandit hits Skelm on her shoulder, making her cry in pain, she quickly stabs him back and slices his legs off. The last three able-bodied bandits approach her, she thinks of a strategy and throws her sword at one of the bandits, the sword goes right through her head and she falls dead. Then she tackles the second bandit and throws a few punches at them, she's interrupted by the third bandit who smacks her on the back of her head with his blunt weapon. She falls down and quickly recovers, she looks between the two bandits and runs for her sword which is just across from her.

She dives for it and grabs it, the second bandit gets up from the tackle, she looks at them both and she raises the sword at the two bandits. They run at her and she slices the first bandit in the stomach and stabs the second one in the neck, they both drop as one starts to bleed out while she walks away from them. She walks around the camp, until she eventually finds a chest tucked away, she opens the chest and finds some valuables. She pockets them and goes to make her way out, though to her surprise, the cave floor collapses from beneath her and she soon starts to tumble down, hitting her head and stomach on some rocks. "Shit!" She yells out in pain and tries to catch herself on rock ledge but her fingers start slipping and she falls down, hitting her back on a rock, making her scream in pain. She starts rolling down the cave and she manages to spin herself around, though a rock pointing out in front of her flings her up into the air making her land hard against the floor. She continues to roll down until she falls down with a loud thud.

She lets out a yelp and curls up into a ball from the pain. She opens her eyes, her vision is blurry and her ears are ringing, she has no idea where she is and what happened. "F..Fuck." She says weakly, sooner or later she gets up and looks around, there are some dimly lit torches and a passageway in front of her. She gets a torch from the wall and cautiously walks through the passageway. She lost her sword in the fall and has nothing but her fists and crossbow to defend herself with as she makes her way through this strange passageway.

The passageway seems to go on for forever until it leads to an open room, she takes a look around, looking at the ceiling and walls around her, "Oof" she says. She looks over to what she bumped into and sees what seems to be a stone statue, but she can't tell who so she moves the torch closer and studies the face close. She realizes it's a stone statue of Móðr, the god of fate, or atleast he was. But this statue was odd, it looked almost life like. "What the hell..?" She touches the statues face and walks further around the open room, taking in every detail of the room, her eyes land on a chest, she walks over to it and opens it.

Pulling out the random junk from the chest, a random rusty sword, white round beacon looking object, and an old ring. She examines the ring, it's old and dusty so she blows the dust off, the ring is beautiful and golden, and glowing as well. She looks at the ring for a moment and just puts it in her pocket "Alright, but how do I get out of here?" She looks around for an exit, though the statue catches her eye. Not the whole statue, but the left hand middle finger to be exact, it glows the same as the ring and she walks over to the statue, crouching down and pulling the ring out. It indeed did glow the same, she slipped the ring onto the statues finger.
