Chapter 7 - Wery of her powers

The practice became more intensed that it took a lot of strength while gaining energy from it.

"What next, I mean, I've learnt how to control my powers for weeks, how to make sound less walks?" Wenli asked enthusiastic about the next thing they would practice.

Wenli has learnt many things and good thing she was a quick learner and has a great tolerable master who would correct her no matter what.

She learnt to control her powers, walk soundlessly as it was the teaching of 'take your enemies out without their notice ' kinda thinking. She learnt how tho make fire balls with her hands, how to feel people's presence. Alot was taught to her which Zhao Wenli was amazed at most of them. Wasn't xianxia films all about cultivating? But she doesn't get the reason why not showing off her strength or, not trusting people easily should be involved. The funniest part was that, she was taught how to sense when people lie to her. The things she should observe when dealing with cunning sly foxes. Though it was strange, she still listened and did what she had to do. She believed in her master. Because, if her father from her timeline really paid attention to those things, he would have been able to predict the sly fox called his bestie and business partner.

Master Wu wanted people to think she's fragile and feeble not being able to defend herself, but later show what's capable when she's fully prepared to immense as the new fire Phoenix queen anytime, unless she disagrees just like the purple Phoenix.

"We're learning swordsmanship"she announced.

"What?" Wenli couldn't herself from being excited and showing it.

"Don't be too excited because you're learning the most hardest and the most complicated swordsmanship ever taught in the history of all 12 clans of Xiamù"

Fun fact, Wenli didn't know the nation or country she was in. She only knows that she's a Chinese lady who was transmigrated from her modern world to a xianxia historical world, all in the name of being disrespectful for the grace she found tormenting.

She couldn't help but wonder why they brought her here when she was still going to suffer the same fate and she had no idea of who her family's murderer was, only that he's some kind of a powerful no...no, the most powerful youngster who bears the names funnier than what is going on around her.

She only knows the academy of which she should be arithmetics or psychological stuffs that could enhance and bosst her knowledge, she's learning martial arts which she finds rather amusing than serious.

What choice does she have but to learn and concentrate, she remembered a great quote in the Bible that says, 'heaven helps those who help themselves ' and the popular quotes of both her nanny and teachers which states, 'when you go to Rome, behave like the romans.'

Though a Christian by all means, and the fact her nanny made her read those quote before she goes to bed. She for once, had believed both the Bible and the teachers.

She knows she needs to help herself before the heavens could even look at her and think about a way of helping her. Besides, one of the old men who had called themselves gods at the 'reconsideration hall' had told her fate if she fails. She also did as the teachers said in the case of behaving like the Romans. Though she's not in any way in Rome, but the place she's now proved the saying. Cause, she has to do all of the things they do, especially to survive.

"What do you mean? You talk as if they're many swordsmanship in mind?"

"Of course, there are seven most powerful swordsmanship that only few have the power to learn only one or two lesser of them all. But judging from your progress, you can learn the three least complicated swordsmanship, which is a progress"

"How's that a progress, I'm just similar to those people" she muttered.

"So, are you ready?" Master Wu asked.

Wenli, timidly nodded. But before she could ask questions, Shizun Wu, gentle yet aggressively spreading her hands and opened her palm, and a sword with a deep blue hilt, a silver sharp sword was seen when she unsheathed her sword. The glowing silver sword was sharp enough to cut off a thousand heads to roll, if aimed properly. Her sword was named Zudan.

Why can't she just name it Susan instead of complicating English when it's complicated enough to drive her crazy.

It was as if she unsheathing her sword was for her to be mesmerized about how powerful Zudan was, she sheaths it back. If that was her aim, it truly worked cause judging from Wenli's look, she felt betrayed yet, amused that she can summon her sword easily instead of carrying it about.

"First is the Shiãchi. It's just the basics it's all about aiming and focus, it's the first step every martial artist must learn especially cultivators. Now, watch" she said as though commanding her, but was actually being polite.

She showcased a few fighting sword skills and just from Wenli's observations, the way her Master, held her sword was the normal way and the style of the sharp blade being all backwards and the hilt, held up close as if trying to hit her opponent with the hilt, while avoiding to kill him.

"Is that all clear?" Master Wu asked when she was through, no sign of tiredness or fatigue traced in her.

Wenli saw, but wasn't able to master the swordsmanship.

"I saw, but I was distracted. I just admired your fighting skills..."

"Admiration should be for the unserious lovers who want nothing but love. Love and learn, it's a way of saving both parties from any unnecessary fights" she lectured.

"I apologize. I should be..."

"That should be for weaklings who only dote on apologies that might be them of no help. Learn from your mistakes and only apologize when there's an urgent need to " she lectured and advised interrupting her midway, making Wenli wonder her master's temperament.

"What kind of aura is this? A temperament too difficult for me to comprehend?" She pounded but jolted when she felt a hard grap her hair.

"Ouch!!! Master that hurts"

"Will you dwell in your thoughts or should I leave you alone here to master Shiãchi all by yourself. It JUST took you three days to summon your spirit animal, I bet you'll stay for a month probably years before you become a master at it" she mocked emphasizing on the word 'just'.

"That hurts master! " She said holding both her chest and her hair at the same to tell her master where her actions had hit her the most. "You always have a way to defeat me even before I started" she pryed feeling her hair once more, before fiddling it to the way it should be.

Wu Jian gave her the look of ' will you pick up that damn sword or should I do justice to it?' look

"Fine fine fine, no need to murder me with your eyes I'm getting ready" sfe said knowing fully well how uncontrollable Master Wu might be when her patience is being tested.

Though she haven't seen it before, never in her wildest dream, has she ever wanted to see that.

She prepared herself, swinging her sword, with a fast pace since that was the only thing she was able memorize before her thoughts got drifted away by her careless.
