Chapter 1 - Introduction

"When I was 5 and mommy told me everything about my "real fu*king dad" and it really breaks my heart anytime my ma'am and dad issue comes to my mind. My dad never wanted to take his responsibilities as a father. So, it was only my mother who was responsible for my whole life for the past years."

"It is 14 years now, I have never seen my real dad. You know, it sometimes worries me a lot, but once I have mommy and Garriso around me, it makes me feel a little happier, but just that I miss my "fu*king dad". Mommy told me not to allow daddy to come near me or anywhere around me."

"A few days ago, Mommy's cell phone rang for more than 1000 hours, but mommy didn't answer dad's call. That day, I got to know how much mommy hated hearing a word from my dad. But I don't know why my dad still wants his family back. After 14 years, daddy never wanted it, but now-- I think he needs us. " Hmm" mommy also feels the same worried as I used to but never wanted to talk about it, even to set her eyes to see Mr. Lucas, my real dad."

"My irresponsible dad has made life very difficult for mommy to live, but mommy never gives up and keeps working harder to provide for the family and pay enough for my school fees." [Lefah sighs]

[Lefah over phone]

" Hey bro, I have to go now. Mommy is calling me outdoors. I'll call you back the next minute. Bye." [Lefah]

"Hey, I got this bro. I am even coming to your place now. So, see you-- bye." [Garriso]

[call hung up]

[Lefah is a young person of 18 years. At the age of 3, his parents divorced. Lefah got to know everything about his real dad and never liked to see him, never in his life. His mother told him everything when he was 5 years old.

" Hey, ma'am. I want to become a footballer just like those players on the television, mom."

" Wow, that's a great idea, my loving son, but you know, your mom doesn't like football but just feels like watching football sometimes." [Mom]

" Oh! No, why don't you like football mom?"

" Nothing, son. I just love watching TV shows on weekends but don't have time to go to football stadiums to watch them live. And you know, work won't even let me go watch them playing my love."

" Okay, Mom. I get you. But because of your loving son, please try and love it for me, okay?"

"Okay. Okay son." [Mom]

"That's my sweet ma'am."

"Yeah, and I only love watching the Detroit Lions matches. Just because of Barry Sanders. Barry Sanders is always a game changer. You know, I know Barry Sanders for his incredible ability to make defenders always miss his quick cuts, spins, and bursts of speed." [Mom]

"And the little I know about Barry Sanders is, he's the most dropping runner in NFL history, leaving opponents in awe and fans in ecstasy. Just that Barry Sanders has retired but still remembers in NFL history. I also know little about him and his family too." [Mom]

"Wow, then tell me more about him mom, please?"

"Hey darling, the food is ready, let's get going now. It is time to eat. Hey kid, stand up. Food will get cold please."

" Okay. Hey, ma'am. I want to play football and become like Barry Sanders. What do you think mom?"

[Mommy sighs]

" Hmm." That's a great idea, son. You know, your mother always gets your back. But you're just 5 years old, and you have to grow stronger and bigger before you can play American Football just like Barry Sanders, my love."

" Wait mom. But I am much stronger and bigger. Just have a look at my body. Just too big, like Barry Sanders."

[Mother snickers]

" Hey, kid. The food is getting cold. Let's get going, and I am not in the mood to laugh this time. Let's talk about this later. Please come on. Get up son."

"No! Mom. I am not hungry anymore, and I want to finish watching this match before I go for my mommy's food. Please."

"Hey, kid. Don't let me come to you. You know food is getting cold like I said Lefah. Just stand up and come here now kid. Or I think I should come and turn the television off, right?"

"Oh! No, mom. I am coming right away please."

Lefah walked close to the television and pointed his finger at Barry Sanders. When Barry Sanders was running with the ball, and-- he said," Hey! Barry Sanders. I'll one day become like you and that's a promise my man. You head me, right? Hey, my man, hope you can hear me, well?"

"Hey kid! Whom are you talking to?"

"I am talking to Barry Sanders on the television, ma'am."

[Mom] "You're a very funny little kid. Are you coming, or do you still want me to come-- there son?"

"Oh, nope. Coming mom."

[Man voice continues] Lefah told his mother that he wants to play football and become like a Legend, like Barry Sanders who played for "Detroit Lions in 1989–98". After his mother said little about Barry Sanders' career in the American football league.

"Barry Sanders was an American former professional footballer, and he was a running back who played for the Detroit Lions of the national football league for 10 seasons before retiring."

"Barry Sanders was born July 16, 1968, in Wichita, Kansas, U.S.-- His high school is Wichita North. (Wichita, Kansas). And his college - Oklahoma State (1986–1988) and NFL draft - 1989/ round: 1/ pick: 3 rushing yards 15, 269."

'Barry Sanders retired when he was 30 years old. With 15,269 yards and 99 touchdowns. He is a hall of fame and was one of the best running backs ever in NFL history."
