Tim's words vibrated in Rennyo's ears. The old man had just let out a top-class secret, prompting him to ask, "You never knew that your brother had a child?"
Tim nodded, answering like it was the most common thing, "From what I know he never got married. Also, how could he get a baby before I get one? If he really has one, I have to slap him a few times."
Momentarily words ceased coming from Rennyo's mouth, there seemed to be nothing that corroborated whether Tim was speaking the truth or not.
Oblivious about his thoughts, Tim looked at him in amusement, a mischievous smile forming on his face, "So, you're a kyuketsuki, huh? A kyuketsuki made by the world aristocrats, no wonder why you knew so many details than what a normal educated person should."
Rennyo's face finished its grotesque transformation, which turned him into a more wrinklier old man with pointy ears, and sharp fangs protruding from his mouth.
With a hose, detached voice, he states, "Doesn't this solve the question that the world aristocrats are connected to the Roman Calvary."
"No, that doesn't," Tim denied, pressing his lips to form a half-smile, "From what I found out, the first stage 5 profound beast was made by the world aristocrats."
He turned his gaze to look over at the setting sun, "That only raised more questions: just what is the Kinrin continent to the Roman Calvary? Just how many of your subordinates are coming back to life? How many villages in this continent have their leaders taken over by monsters like you? Also, the first and last question I asked you was, what kind of being is the person we call the first human?"
"Hahaha! Hahahaha!"
Rennyo released a frantic laughter that made Tim's anger boil up a little, at how the question he was curious about was getting ignored.
Taking a deep breath to calm himself, he asked, "Aren't you going to answer my questions?"
Just like what Tim expected the old man didn't answer, and took time to continue his frantic laughter. Annoyed, Tim gave him a little baptism on the cheek.
Slap-Slap-Slap!!
Feeling the hot sensation on his cheek, Rennyo stopped laughing, prompting him to say, "Do you know that the body has three special things: the blood, the spirit, and the water."
Tim nodded his smile fading slowly like a burning candle. He had used the 3-6-9 concept to block Rennyo from having access to his primordial space.
The Kyuketsuki explained, "In this world, those who ascended to heaven on the first time were nothing special, but rather people who had a firm belief in the being above to bring them salvation."
"Do you know what the majority of the people who got left behind call themselves now?"
"The world aristocrats," Tim answered his voice barely above a whisper.
The Shojo of Maba Village finally nodded in confirmation, "Yes, that's why one needs a permit to enter the Kinrin continent. That continent contains history far more profound than what the world knows. They know of the lines of life, 3-6-9! They know how to use that power to make themselves rich and powerful! They can even use that power to see into the future."
"See into the future?" Tim repeated the words in question.
From his findings 3-6-9 was a method of cultivation; 3 being yin, 6 being yang, and 9 being their fusion altogether. He never expected it to be something to make a person rich or see the future. If he knew all that wouldn't he be a rich man at the moment?
Noticing the confusion on Timael's face, Rennyo clarified, "The lines of life are what make life, and the world aristocrats are taking all that away from the people."
"What do you mean to take? There is nothing for them to take besides hiding information." Tim's disarray grew, but a light bulb suddenly popped up in his head.
"Oh! I see! The water and the blood!"
Rennyo nodded at the realization, "The Kinrin continent has a Tama that can gather almost all of the natural clouds in the world, leaving only places with unstable locations like Kokoro Island to receive good rainfall. To cover up for that, they send artificial rain clouds to the other continents, and this water isn't even made by a Tama. This water contaminates the rivers, and oceans, entering into the fish you eat. The nutrients you eat are later turned into blood, making the world aristocrats' plan to make people unable to unlock the full potential of the lines of life, 3-6-9, a success."
Tim's expression turned pale from fright, muttering to himself, "The last time it rained my Tama showed me the words, bacteria, fungi, virus, and other nasty things."
"Then you should have stopped drinking water after seeing such things," Rennyo said in a voice that seemed like he was gloating.
Timael's face contorted, "Are you mental?! Then I would have been dead already!"
The Kyuketsuki snorted, "The Zen Buddhist monks go for a month without water and food; why can't you?"
Tim's frown deepened, and the old man added, "If you did, maybe you would have gotten the chance to see the future, locate the position of your niece, and possibly find the location of Kokoro Island."
Tim felt insulted by the words, and suggested, "What if I drink the Supreme water the Kinrin continent has been selling?"
Rennyo nodded at the suggestion, "Yes, that would work since it's the natural water you're supposed to drink in the first place. However, you would have to buy the other expensive food the Kinrin continent sells, which starts at the initial price of a hundred platinum Kojin notes."
"10, 000 Kojin!" Tim exclaimed in shock, "My annual salary at the Roman Calvary is only 5, 000 Kojin!"
Rennyo scoffed in arrogance, "Here, you wanted to buy the Supreme water that cost double that price."
Timael felt like he was being stabbed by Rennyo's words, and attempted to slap the old man like usual. However, the old man showed an otherworldly footwork and appeared at the door of the inn.
The Kyuketsuki laughed, its nails turning into claws, "The sun has set, and it's time for us creatures of the night to rule your world!"
"Arise my legion of horrors!"
