Chereads / Infinite Stratos: Operation BLAZE / Chapter 33 - chapter 33

Chapter 33 - chapter 33

With Seth.

Seth and the others were brought aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise. The others saw that Seth eyes were void of emotion. He was taken to the medical ward of the ship. He was led to a room with a doctor and a nurse. The doctor on the ship diagnosed Seth with the early stages of depression. He was told to go to a doctor if his depression got worse. Seth found Akikaze and grabbed him to a nearby closest. He used his Shockpoint drive on [B.L.A.Z.E.] and took him to the moon. Seth told Ritsuko the situation with Akikaze and was shocked. He asked her to watch him for a little bit until he found an answer to what he should do with Akikaze. Seth said hello to Rattle, Amelia, Gina, and Stella before he returned to the U.S.S. enterprise.

"Huh? Who's the kid?" Amelia said as she saw the cute small child.

"His name is Akikaze Fairs and he's Seth's son."

"EEEHHH!" The four girls yelled at once.

Back with Seth.

He arrived back on the enterprise without anyone noticing he was gone. As he entered the mess hall of the ship he saw the Natasha, Samus, and Rin eating. Chris had left the ship to file out a report about the events of Lanshiang and why his team died. Seth knew Chris was hurting really badly like he was and needed something to clear his head. Then it hit Seth. He had accumulated enough active hour duties then needed to take a vacation. If he didn't use it then he would lose it. He could use it to relax and figure out what to do with the situation with Akikaze.

"Seth, you ready to leave?" Samus said to the boy. However he shook his head.

"I'm not coming back just yet. I've logged enough hours to take a two week vacation and if I don't use it, I'm gonna lose it." Seth words shocked the group of three.

"What?!" Rin, Natasha, and Samus dropped their forks.

"Ichika, you can't be serious. You've been gone for over a month." Rin said to Seth.

"And I just lost someone who was like an older brother for the last five and half years. Rin, I know you want to talk, but right now I need to clear my head. I'm sorry." Seth said as he bowed to Rin. She could tell by his voice that he was hurting. Natasha understood why Seth wanted to take a vacation. He and Piers were inseparable when they met and he acted very much like an older brother. She too missed her friend, but she knew that this could happen. It was the danger that came with the job. Samus was used to losing people when it came to being a bounty hunter, but she remembered when she thought Seth died to protect her and she broke down. She finally understood what is was like to lose someone important, but it was only for a few seconds. Seth however lost someone dear to him and there was no way for him to come back. She knew that he needed some time.

"It's alright Seth. You can take a vacation. I'll deal with Chifuyu for you." Natasha said.

"Thanks." Seth said as he took his leave.

A Few Hours Later. Lunar Base.

Seth had applied for a vacation and was instantly approved. He had flown back to the base nearby L.A. and opened a Shockpoint drive to the lunar base. Seth got a look at the base and saw that it had grown to the size of a small city and could support 2,000 people if needed. Seth saw that the construction of his two ships were underway. The first one was his ship called [Prometheus]. It was based off of the [Ptolemaios II] and the [Eternal]. It would have a massive amount of firepower. The ship would need at least a crew of 45 to operate at full capacity and could hold 700 people if needed. It could hold 12 mobile suits, 20 I.S. units, and A Evangelion unit. Its Overall Height 150 meters, Overall Length 684 meters, Overall Width 453 meters. It was about half the size of AAA Wunder. It would be fueled by Evangelion unit 03's S2 and as back up a Nuclear Core Reactor, and when Seth was present it could be fueled by either the white Marker or the S2 organ. The second ship would be called [Perses] and its size and weapons would be largely the same, except unlike [Prometheus] it was to be fueled by a Marker. Seth would take a risk and build a Marker, but he was going to do everything in his power to prevent a Necromorph outbreak. The ships would take about five weeks to finish. He continued to look around the base and finally found Akikaze, but the boy was being spoiled by the four girls who met him.

"Oh, hey Seth!" Stella said cheerfully.

"Hi, I see you've met Akikaze." Seth said to the girls.

"Seth, why didn't you tell us you had a son? He's so cute!" Rattle said as she began to squeeze the small boy in a hug.

"Hey! Be careful, you're hugging him a little too hard." Rattle lighten her hug on the small child and he breathed a sigh of relief. He squirmed out of Rattle's hug and rushed to Seth's side. He grabbed Seth's hand and hid behind him.

"Ah, he's afraid of you guys." Seth said as he started to comfort Akikaze who was teary eyed.

"Huh? Why would he be scared of us?" Amelia wondered as she and the others had only hugged the boy. They didn't realize that they were squishing the boy with all their affection.

"Anyway, to answer your question, I only met Akikaze a few hours ago. I had no clue Wesker made a child using my DNA and another person's. The data I collected states that Akikaze is only a month old, but look at him." The girls could easily tell that Akikaze was way older than one month old.

"I'm gonna take Akikaze to Ritsuko. I want her to perform some test on him."

"That won't be needed. I've already started them and here are the results." Ritsuko said as she walked into the room with a couple of papers. Seth took the papers he was handed and began to read through them. He breathed a small sigh of relief.

"So he has stigma bones and the same virus that's inside me." Seth was glad that Akikaze wasn't making Phazon like he was, but still sad that he was going to carry the same virus that cause him so much damage. He also saw that Akikaze could use a I.S. and his sync ratio was a solid SS rank.

"Seth we got some good news." Blaze said.

"We've located the next artifact." Flame said joining the conversion.

"Really?"

"Yes. I can open the portal when you want to go." Blaze said.

"We'll go soon." Seth said. He looked at his son and rubbed his head. "Hey I gotta go somewhere for a few days. I'll come back a soon as I can. Ladies, I'm trusting you to treat him well."

"We will." The four girls said. Seth opened the portal and entered. The girls were worried for Seth. They could tell that he was hurting on the inside, but he was doing a good job at trying to hide it. They just hoped he didn't do anything too dangerous.

Tamriel, Skyrim. Helgen.

Seth exited the portal and saw a lush green valley. To the north he saw several mountains and snow covered them. He could see several villages and castles. He could tell that this place was not as advance as his world in terms of technology. He saw that a band of wagons were carrying a group of tied up people. The wagon carried the group into a village and unloaded them. Seth saw a man carrying an axe and a cutting stone. He was certain that this was a execution.

A man screamed something before he run away, only to be shot by a group of guards with armor on. Just as the first person was executed another was placed on the stone and the executioner readied himself. As his axe was about to swing down a mysterious black winged creature appeared.

"A DRAGON!" One of the guards yelled.

"NO, THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!" Another man screamed. The dragon unleashed a torrent of flames from its mouth. Amidst the chaos, the people who were sentenced to their deaths, escaped. Seth knew that of he helped these people he might get on their good side and perhaps they could help him find the relic. He brought out [B.L.A.Z.E.]'s miniguns and charged towards the black dragon. The dragon roared in pain from the barrage it received from Seth. It looked towards [B.L.A.Z.E.] and Seth brought out his energy blades. He was going to finish this battle as fast as he could. As Seth closed in, the dragon shouted three words.

"Qah Viik Feim!" The dragon said and a orange aura came out of its mouth. The moment the aura hit Seth, Blaze and Flame screamed in pain. [B.L.A.Z.E.] deactivated and Seth fell to the ground.

"Blaze, Flame, what's wrong?!" Seth asked frantically, but got no response. Suddenly the dragon landed near Seth.

"Yol Toor Shul!" The dragon shouted and a torrent of fire exploded from its mouth. Seth used Accel and narrowly avoided the flames. As he was about to bring out [Kurikara], a man yelled at Seth to get in a tower.

"Hey! Get in here! Do you have a death wish or something?!" The man yelled to Seth. He quickly rushed inside and once they were able to catch their breath, the man introduced himself.

"The name's Hadvar. And you?"

"Seth."

"Lad you look a bit out of place with your clothing." Hadvar said pointing to his [RIG] and plugsuit.

"I guess. Hey, know where I can find a change of clothes?" Seth asked.

"I think I know where their some extra armor around here." Hadvar led Seth to the armory of the building. Inside he found a three strange books and a set of light imperial armor. He quickly changed and he was thankful that his [RIG] could store away items, but he forgot to bring any weapon. The only weapons he could use was [Kurikara], his kinesis/stasis module. When he got back, he needed to get his weapon back from Tabane. The duo traveled down the halls trying to find an exit, but they came across two men wearing guards uniforms, that were blue.

"You Stormcloak bastards won't leave here with your lives!" Hadvar grabbed his imperial sword and the two stormcloaks attacked. Seth brought out [Kurikara] and easily killed his opponent. Hadvar did the same and now led Seth into a natural cave. Seth saw something horrifying in the cave. Several massive spiders jumped down from the top of the cave. They were at least the size of a wolf.

"The fuck are these thing?!" Seth asked.

"They're frostbite spiders, haven't you seen one before? They're very common here in Skyrim." Hadvar said as he slashed at the spiders. Seth entered [Kurikara] second form and the blade began to glow blue. The sword incinerated the spiders Seth made contact with and impressed Hadvar.

"Quite the the enchantment you got on your sword, ah hell, Be quite." Hadvar whispered. He pointed to a bear that was sleeping behind a cart. Seth and Hadvar quickly moved away from the bear and found the exit. As they could see the sky again, the black dragon flew above them and continued flying away.

"Seth, head to the village of Riverwood. I have a uncle there, he's the blacksmith. If you tell him you know me, then he'll help you. I have to return to Solitude, if you ever go to Solitude think about joining the imperials. We could use a good person like yourself in our ranks." Hadvar took his leave and Seth followed his advice to walk next to the river. Eventually he reached the village. Seth made his way to the blacksmith and saw a man that was in his late 30's or early 40's.

"How can I help you, traveler?" The man said.

"Are you Avlor?" Seth asked.

"I am."

"I met Hadvar. He said you would be able to help me." Seth said.

"And for what reason should I help you?"

"Well he said to mention that a dragon attack Helgen." Seth said as he remembered the name of the village. When Seth said the word dragon, everyone that heard him gasped.

"But the dragons haven't been seen for many years, unless that thing I saw flying above earlier was a-. Boy you need to head to Whiterun. You must talk to the Jarl. I don't have much, but I can give you some gear." Avlor handed Seth some heavy armor and an iron helmet. He gave Seth several daggers, a shield, and a iron sword.

"Go, you must hurry to Whiterun." Avlor told Seth to follow the trail and he would eventually find Whiterun. He also gave a letter to Seth. He needed to give the letter to the guards so he could see the Jarl. With his new equipment Seth set out for Whiterun. As he traveled he tried to talk with Blaze and Flame, but they didn't response. Seth remembered how the girls screams after he was hit by that dragon's attack. They were in pure pain. He was starting to get scared, but he couldn't let that stop him from find out more about this world. As Seth was traveling he decided to read those books he found back in Helgen. He discovered it was a book on arcadian arts or magic.

"There's magic in this world?" Seth found it really easy to read the book and was starting to get an understanding for mana, but he didn't have time to read the book.

Whiterun.

"Halt traveler, what business do you have here in Whiterun?" A guard said to Seth as he approached the gates. Seth handed the guard a letter and the guard's eyes opened wide behind his mask.

"Open the gates!" The guard yelled. Another guard opened the gates and Seth walked in. He saw how lively the village was. It was definitely a simpler time than his world. He made his way to the Jarl of Whiterun. As soon as he entered the hall of the Jarl, all eyes were on him. Seth noticed a woman with bluish dark skin and elven ears, however, he played it cool walked to a man wearing expensive clothing.

"Traveler, what business do you have with me?" Jarl Balgruuf the Greater said.

"I bring news of a dragon attacking Helgen." Everyone in the room gasped at Seth's words.

"Is what you say true?"

"It is. I saw the dragon with my own eyes." Many people in the room were thinking that Seth was lying, but Balgruuf thought otherwise.

"Young man, there is an item I need you to retrieve for me. I would send my men to retrieve this, but if what you say is true then I must hurry to prepare village for an attack." Many of the people couldn't believe what the Jarl was saying. Many thought that he had snapped. Seth knew that this was his chance to prove himself to Jarl. He needed to find people he could trust.

"Consider it done." Seth said.

"Go to Bleak Falls Barrow. Here's a map. You should find a trail near Riverwood that should lead you there. Now hurry, time is of the essence." Seth took the map and left Whiterun. As he traveled back to Riverwood he encountered a group of humanoid Cats. They are called Khajiit and Seth could tell that they were a traveling caravan of merchants. He could see one of them acting odd. As if he was under the influence of a substance. Seth also saw a wooly mammoth and a giant. He could tell that if he got close to the wooly mammoth then the giant would become protective.

Bleak Falls Barrow.

Seth had arrived at the entrance and saw a group of bandits. He was told that these bandits would kill him if they got the chance. Seth knew it was kill or be killed. He brought out a bow and readied a shot. He released the arrow and the first bandit was shot in the head, instantly killing him. A second bandit saw his friend get shot, and was going to warn the others, when he too was shot in the head. Seth killed three more until his sneak attack was discovered. He put his how back and brought out [Kurikara]. The bandit swung at Seth with an Iron long sword, but the blade was cut in half when it met Seth's blade. Seth finished off the bandit by slashing at his chest. He looted the camp the bandits made for any supplies. He found some good coins, arrows, and food. He entered the temple.

Seth encountered these massive rats. They were the size of a small dog and more than likely carried a vast array of diseases on them. Seth cleared them and anything else that got in his way. As he continued through the temple, he started to see massive clusters of spider webs, but now he began to hear something.

"Help! Someone help me!" Seth rushed to the source of the voice and found someone trapped in a spiderweb cocoon.

"Oh thank the eight divines, please help me!" The man said as he saw Seth.

"Hold on!" Seth yelled as he rushed towards the trapped man. As Seth was about to approach the man something jumped on top of him from the ceiling. Two things tried to stab Seth, but he reacted quickly to grab the attacking objects. Seth could finally see that they were a pair of fangs from a giant frostbite spider. The spider was much bigger than the ones Seth saw earlier. It was about 5 ft tall and it was trying to kill Seth. With his enhance strength, Seth ripped off the fangs and it jumped off. While the spider was distracted by the pain of having its fangs ripped off, Seth brought out [Kurikara] and blue flames erupted on the blade. Seth took one good swing and cut clean through the spider. Its corpse was now engulfed in blue flames. Seth now worked on freeing the trapped man, but the moment he cut the webbing, the man began to run.

"The treasure is all mine!" The man yelled. Seth chased after the man, but as the man ran he tripped a trap that caused a massive axe to swing down and cut his body apart. Seth noticed a strange golden claw object fall on the floor and noticed just ahead was some type of lock with movable stone rings. He noticed that it had three holes that matched up perfectly with the claws of the golden object. He matched the pattern on the wall with the claw and placed the claw in the wall. He twisted the claw and Seth heard something move in the wall. The wall moved up and opened a new path.

Seth set down the path, and started to hear something move. He looked around and saw that his place was some sort of burial chamber. He saw the bodies of the dead moving.

"What the hell?!" Seth said as he saw the Draugr's glowing blue eyes. Seth knew that in these close quarters, [Kurikara] wouldn't have enough room to be effective. He brought out the iron sword he received earlier and slashed off the arms of a nearby Draugr. Seth grabbed the Draugr's ancient Nordic sword and with two blades in hand he started to slash away at the hoard of Draugr.

Ten minutes later.

Seth finally found a place to take a quick rest after fighting for ten minutes straight. He noticed a strange wall in the room. It had the statue of a dragon on the top of it, but he also noticed some strange writing on the wall. He got closer to inspect the wall, one word on the wall began to speak out to Seth.

"Fus. Why can I read that?" Seth really wished he could talk to Blaze or Flame right now. He felt so alone. Suddenly something behind Seth came out of a coffin. It was a Draugr, but this was no normal one. It was much more powerful. Seth brought out his blades ready to attack, but the Draugr Deathlord had a trick up its sleeve for Seth.

"Fus Ro Dah!" The Draugr Deathlord used a strange power on Seth that sent him flying back. Seth hit the wall he was near and his eardrums ruptured from the sheer sound the attack.

"What the fuck was that?!" Seth narrowly avoided an attack from the Draugr and moved away. He had no sense of balance from his eardrums being ruptured, but they quickly regenerated. Seth rushed in for a kill, but the Draugr wouldn't go down easy. Seth had to used stasis on the Draugr and slashed its back while it was wide open. [Kurikara]'s flames incinerated the Draugr and it fell to the ground. Seth couldn't believe his luck. He found the stone the Jarl was looking for in the tomb of the Draugr Deathlord and he found an exit that led straight into Riverwood. He quickly made his way to the Riverwood trader and discovered that the golden claw belonged to Lucan and Camilla Valerius. Siblings that run the Riverwood Trader. He gave it back to them after explaining how he found it and they were glad that their family treasure was back. They gave Seth a book on necromancy as a reward for returning the claw to them.

Whiterun.

"Ah traveler, you've made it back and fairly quickly. Have you brought the item." The Jarl Balgruuf asked. Seth showed that he did have the stone. He handed the stone to the court wizard, who began to look at the stone.

"Here is your reward traveler. You've earned it." The Jarl said as he handed Seth. Bag with 150 Septims. Seth was glad with the reward as now he could get some food and a room to sleep in later that night. However as Seth was about to leave a guard came into the room screaming.

"A Dragon was spotted at Western Watchtower!" The man yelled.

"Traveler, Irileth, you need to head out the watchtower! Now go!"

"Wait! Why me?" Seth asked.

"Traveler you're the only one who has seen a dragon. You've survived an attack before. Only you will be able to fight it, now go!" The Jarl said to Seth. He agreed to go.

Seth and the Jarl's housecarl, Irileth, quickly traveled to the Western Watchtower where they met several Whiterun guards. They looked at the destruction of the tower and found several dead bodies. One of the bodies was incinerated by fire. Another body had its head missing. However, amidst the chaos, a survivor was found.

"Can you hear me? What happen?" Irileth asked the weak guard.

"The...dragon came out of nowhere...It killed everyone...It's back..." The last surviving guard's body suddenly went limp. He was dead. The group looked up and saw a beast circling the skies above them. It roared before it dived down to the ground. The group move to avoid the dragon and it tried to bite Seth, but he avoided the attack.

"Freezing!" Suddenly a blue hexagonal pattern appeared on the ground. The dragon Mirmulnir found himself unable to move, but suddenly it yelled out three words.

"Fo Krah Diin!" The dragon unleashed a torrent of frozen wind from its mouth. Seth moved to avoid getting frozen to death. While Seth was moving the dragon began to speak.

"You are brave. Balaan hokoron. Your defeat brings me honor." Mirmulnir said.

"It can talk?!" Seth was shocked that the dragon could speak a human language.

"Yol Toor Shul!" The dragon unleashed a torrent of flames from its mouth. He incinerated two Whiterun guards. Several guards fired a barrage of arrows. They did little to the beast. Mirmulnir started to flap its wings, but Seth had a different idea.

"Oh no you don't!" Seth shot the dragon with stasis and it started to move much slower. Seth brought out [Kurikara] and jumped on top of the dragon and landed on top of Mirmulnir's head. [Kurikara]'s blade began to glow blue and he impaled the Mirmulnir's skull. The dragon roared in pain as the blade released its flames inside of its skull. It fell to the ground with Seth still on top of his head.

"Dovahkiin?! NO!" Mirmulnir's flesh began to disappear from its body and strange torrents of light began to surround Seth. When it was over all that remained of Mirmulnir was his skeleton. A strange feeling started to build inside of Seth. He had an urge to yell out a word.

"Fus!" Seth yelled and a powerful force of energy came out of his mouth. Everyone was shocked when they heard what Seth yelled.

"What was that?" Seth wondered.

"By the nine, it is true. You have the Thu'um. You are Dragonborn." One of guards said.

"I'm what?"

"Dragonborn. A man with the soul of dragon, but the body of a person. Go to the Jarl, he must know of this." The guard said. Seth needed to know what this strange power was. Hopefully the Jarl would have the answer to his questions.

Whiterun.

"Traveler, I see that the dragon was defeated." Jarl Balgruuf said to Seth.

"It is, however something odd happen. When I defeated the dragon, all that remained was its skeleton. I think I'm something called Dragonborn."

"What, is this true? Did you absorb the dragon's soul?" The Jarl asked frantically. Before Seth could answer a loud noise was heard. The people in the Jarl's hall quickly got outside and hear a loud voice yelling 'Come to us Dragonborn!'

"So it is true, you are Dragonborn. Dragonborn, you must hurry to High Hrothgar. The Greybeards will guide you to your destiny." The Jarl pointed to a village that was that the base of the seven thousand step that led to High Hrothgar.

Ivarstead.

Seth finally arrived in the village that was the beginning of the path to High Hrothgar. However it was late and Seth was tired. He entered the Vilemyr Inn and rented a room. The bed was just some wood with hay on it, but it felt so good with his tired body. As his mind drifted into dream land he started to wonder how he would get home. He couldn't talk to Blaze or Flame and he really hoped that the time different in this world wouldn't be too bad, but right now he allowed himself to sleep.

The next morning, High Hrothgar.

Seth had woke up early and after buying some food, he left for High Hrothgar. On the trail of seven thousand steps, he encountered a troll, but he made quick work of it. Now he stood at the foot of the staircase of High Hrothgar. He entered the building. As he walked into the main hall, he found four men wearing robes, they were meditating. One of them got up and turned towards Seth.

"We've been expecting you, Dovahkiin." One of the men said.

"Can you help me understand what this 'Dragonborn' thing is?" Seth asked.

"In do time, but I believe introduction are in order. I am Arngeir a follower of the way of the voice. These here are my fellow monks, I know it's sudden, but we must perform a test on you to see if you truly are Dovahkiin. Please stand in the center of the room and we will begin the test." Seth did as Arngeir asked. The Greybeards surround Seth and unleashed a powerful attack from their mouths. Seth felt sound waves entering his system and fell to one knee. He was starting to black out, but he stood strong. Soon the test ended and Seth started to breath heavily.

"It is true, you are Dovahkiin." Arngeir said as Seth got up.

"Dovahkiin if you allow us, please let us teach you the way of the voice. Have you learn any words yet?"

"Fus!" Seth said and a burst of force left his mouth.

"I see. Only one word. Let me tell you what this power is. We call it the Thu'um. It is an ancient form of magic and they are spells made up of three words. We shall teach you the two words you are missing for the shout 'Unrelenting Force' as it is call in the human tongue." Suddenly two words appeared on the ground. Seth was surprise that he could read them.

"Ro Dah?"

"I see that you can read the words of the dragon, yes these two words will complete the shout, but you cannot just read the words. You must also know the meaning behind the words. Fus in the human tongue mean force, Ro means balance, and Dah means push. When you say the shout, you must have the mindset of what the words truly mean. Dovahkiin come with me to practice the shout." Arngeir led Seth to the back of High Hrothgar and told he to focus on the words of power. Seth searched inside himself and a power grew from within.

"Fus Ro Dah!" Seth shouted and a massive wall of force moved out of his mouth and hit a nearby tree. The tree exploded into a shower of splinters.

"Most impressive Dovahkiin. Let us continue." Seth learned the first word of a new shout. Wuld. After he mastered the word, Arngeir spoke to Seth.

"We would continue to train you, but we have one last task for you. You must retrieve Horn of Jurgen Windcaller. Then we shall continue your training Dovahkiin." The Greybeard said. Seth knew that the sooner he got this horn thing the fast he would find a way back home.

Riverwood.

While Seth was searching for the Horn. Seth found a word wall with Feim on it. He entered the deepest part of the chamber and found a note saying to come to the Riverwood Sleeping giant Inn and that it was from a friend. Seth was cautious at first, but he needed to get that horn.

"Hello, I'd like to rent the room in the attic." Seth said the the person in charge of the inn.

"Attic? There's no such room...wait in the room over there..." The man whispered to Seth. The Dragonborn did as wait in the room to the left and soon a woman entered the room.

"It's an honor to meet you, Dragonborn." The woman said.

"Who are you? Do to have the horn?" Seth asked the woman.

"Follow me." The woman said as she revealed a secret path hidden behind the closet. Seth cursed as this was very shady, but he needed the damn horn. The woman led Seth to an room with weapons on the walls. He noticed that one of them looked a lot like a katana.

"My name is Delphine, and I'm the current leader of an ancient order called the Blades. We were once a vast order and our job was killing dragons, and protecting the emperor, but we have fallen from grace." Delphine said as she started to talk. "Unfortunately a dragon never truly stays dead, unless the Dragonborn kills them. Which is why I need to see for myself if you are Dragonborn. I need you to kill a dragon. If what I fear is correct then I know where a dragon will pop up next. Now then you can follow me at Kynesgrove or meet me there." Seth knew that this woman wouldn't just hand over the horn. He would need to prove he was in fact Dragonborn.

"Lets get going." Seth said to the leader of the Blades.

Kynesgrove.

Seth and Delphine were making their way to the dragon burial site when a black dragon flew above them.

"We must make haste!" Delphine said to Seth as they had to rush.

The duo caught up with the black dragon, and they saw something incredible. The black dragon resurrected another dragon in the ground. It restored its missing flesh. Once fully brought back to life the dragon lower its head to bow down to its ruler.

"Mighty Alduin, it is an honor to serve you again." The dragon spoke. When the dragon said the name Alduin, Delphine was visibly shaken.

"Sahloknir, it is time for you to prove your loyalty. Kill Dovahkiin." Alduin said as he looked Seth dead center in the eyes.

"It will be done." Alduin started to fly away and Sahloknir began his assault.

"Fo Krah Diin!" The dragon was about to unleashed a torrent of icy breath from its mouth, but the dragon wasn't the only one with the Thu'um.

"Fus Ro Dah!" Seth yelled at the dragon causing it to stop its shout. Seth brought out the blade he received from Delphine as a sign of trust. It was called [Dragonbane]. With his right hand he held [Kurikara] and his left was [Dragonbane]. Seth used Accel to dive under Sahloknir as he was about take flight. Seth slashed at the underbelly of the dragon, causing Sahloknir to bleed. Seth brought out his bow and arrow. He readied a shot and released the arrow. The arrow shot Sahloknir in the right eye. Seth could tell that the dragon was shouting profanities in the dragon language from the pain it was feeling. The dragon fell to the ground and Seth went in for the kill. He slashed at Sahloknir's lower jaw. The weaken dragon tried to use a shout on Seth, but the moment Sahloknir open his mouth, Seth used stasis and unleash a torrent of blue flames using [Kurikara]. The dragon screeched in pain before it fell to the ground and Seth absorbed his soul. Seth gain the knowledge of a word he knew.

"Feim!" Seth shouted and his body became transparent. Delphine couldn't believe the power she had just seen. Seth was the hero they were looking for. With him they might be able to stand a chance against the dragons.

Throat of the World.

Seth had returned to High Hrothgar and brought the horn. The Greybeards taught Seth the shout Lok Vah Koor! (Clear Skies). Now the Greybeards said to Seth that it was time to meet their leader, Paarthurnax and possibly learn a shout that could help him defeat Alduin.

"Lok Vah Koor!" Seth yelled and the snowstorm that was blocking his progression, disappeared. As Seth reached the top he saw something. A yellow Dragon flew around the Throat of the World, roaring.

Seth brought out [Dragonbane] and [Kurikara]. He waited for the worse. Dragon lowered onto the ground and landed firmly on its feet. "Joor (Mortal)…" It growled at Seth. He stayed ready to strike. However he could tell that the dragon meant no harm. He took a few steps towards the dragon.

"Drem Yol Lok! Greetings, wunduniik. I am Paarthurnax." It spoke for the first time.

"Who are you? What brings you to my strunmah? My mountain?" He asked

"You're a Dragon?"

Paarthurnax nodded. "I am as my father Akatosh made me. As are you, Dovahkiin." Seth was shocked that this dragon wasn't trying to kill him.

"I can understand if this comes as a...shock to you, Joor (Mortal)." He acknowledged. "But you must tell me: why are you here? Why are you intruding on my meditation?"

"The Greybeards said you could teach me the Dragonrend Shout. I need it to defeat Alduin. Can you?"

"Hmmm." He quietly growled. "Drem, Joor (Mortal). Patience. At the first meeting of two of the Dov (Dragon kind), there are formalities which must be observed."

"Very well, go on." Seth couldn't believe that he was able to hold a conversation with a dragon.

"Thank you. Now," Paarthurnax began. "By long tradition, the elder speaks first. I want you to hear my Thu'um. Feel it in your bones and match it, if you are Dovahkiin!" He sprayed fire at the Word Wall, shouting "Yol Toor Shul!" and Seth could read the word Yol (Fire).

"It calls to you. Go ahead."

Seth approached the broken Word Wall. He realized that the surface had been covered with a thick layer of snow, but the dragon words were engraved on the stone wall perfectly. Just like all the other words of power, he immediately learn the word.

"Come." Seth turned to face him. "I present you my understanding of 'Yol'. Comprehend Fire as the Dov (Dragon kind) do." Seth felt 'Yol's meaning scream out to him.

"Now, show me what you can do." He said. "Greet me not as mortal, but as Dovah!"

"Wait, seriously?" Seth was concerned, he knew that shouts were powerful, and Paarthurnax was really old.

"You need not worry. I can take it." He assured Seth.

"YOL!" A torrent of blue flames erupted from Seth's mouth, hitting Paarthurnax.

He was unscathed, although he was slightly burned. But a large and powerful Dragon like himself could take it. "Aaaah... YES! Sossedov los mul! The Dragon Blood runs strong in you, Joor (Mortal). It is long since I had the pleasure of speech with one of my own kind."

"So, Dovahkiin, you have made your way to me. Not an easy task, even for one with the Dragon Blood." He said, very impressed with Seth. "And you obviously did not come for tinvaak with an old Dovah. You seek to learn the Dragonrend Shout?"

"Yep. You heard me the first time. I need to defeat Alduin, so I need to learn that shout." He said. "I can't learn it from the Greybeards. They said you might know."

"Ah, but krosis. Sorrowfully, no. It cannot be known to me." He said.

"So the Greybeards don't know the shout because it's dangerous. And you don't know it because?".

"The Shout was created by your kind joore mortals, to use against us Dragons. Our hadrimme, our minds cannot even comprehend its concepts." He explained.

"That makes sense. You're a Dragon: you can't use a Shout created against Dragons. Great, now what do I do?"

"Drem (Patience), Dovahkiin." He said in a comforting voice. "You wish to learn this Shout… to defeat Alduin, hmm?"

"That's right. That dragon is keeping me from returning home. He used a shout on me and I can't talk to my friends." Seth remembered that Alduin used a shot on him while he was in [B.L.A.Z.E.] when she suddenly disappeared. The reason why he couldn't talk to them had to be because of Alduin.

"Hmm… Pruzah, Dovahkiin. I am enthralled. It is as good a reason as any." He said and looked up at the sky.

"Paaz, Dovahkiin. A fair answer. You continue to impress me." He said. "Ro fus (Balance, force) maybe you only balance the forces that work to quicken the end of this world. Even we who ride the current of Time cannot see past Time's end. Wuldsetiid los tahrodiis." He looked at the skies once again. "Those who try to hasten the End, may delay it. Those who work to delay the End, may bring it closer."

"But you have indulged my weakness for speech long enough. Krosis. It had been long, since I held tinvaak with a stranger. I simply gave in to the temptation to prolong our speech. Now I will answer your question." He apologized.

"It's alright, Paarthurnax, you don't mind if I call you that?"

"Of course you may, Dovahkiin."

"Now, let me answer your question: Do you know why I live here, at the peak of the Monahven? What you name… Throat of the World?"

"You said you were going to answer my question."

"Drem, Dovahkiin. All in good time."

"Ummm, because Dragons love mountains?" Seth couldn't think of a better answer.

Paarthurnax gave what sounded like a low chuckle, amused by his answer. "True, but few can remember that this was the very spot where Alduin was defeated by the ancient Tongues. Well... Viik nuz ni kron (Defeated but not conquered). If he was, you would not be here today, seeking to defeat him." Seth continued to listen.

"The Nords of those days, my friends, Gormlaith, Felldir and Hakon, they were the first humans I taught the Thu'um too, they used the Dragonrend Shout to cripple Alduin. But that… was not enough." He said.

"Then what? What defeated him?" Seth had to know.

"It was the Kel, the Elder Scroll. They used it to cast him adrift on the currents of Time." With that Paarthurnax sent Seth off with a goal, to find the Elder Scroll. Seth had no idea how long it would take to find this item, but he would. He would find a way back to his friend, and his new family he was just starting.
