Space.
It has been 4 months since the event of Aether. Samus and Seth had a strange relationship. After that kiss, they could barely talk to each other without blushing. They both knew that they liked one another, but they couldn't say it. Yet in the heat of battle they worked perfectly. Seth had been working on a special gift for Samus. He had been search the galaxy for the parts he needed and sure enough he was finding them. Samus had asked what he had been purchasing over the last few weeks. Seth only replied with that it was a surprised.
Blaze and Flame had been very angry over how much Seth had fallen for the Samus, but Seth assured them that he still cared greatly for both of them. They couldn't give Seth any physical pleasure, they couldn't hold him, embrace him, or touch him on a physical level, but Samus could. They had to accept the fact that he was smitten with Samus.
Seth was currently in their brand new, state of the art ship. It was a mixture of galactic federation and Chozo technology. It was currently equipped with 40 anti-ship missile and 580 anti-personal missiles, that self regenerated over time. Its also equipped with a noise engine. Meaning that it releases noise particles that can jam nearby radars and had a lot more thrust than before.
Currently with Seth and Samus.
Seth awoke in a cold sweat. He had the worst nightmare of his life and yet, he couldn't remember it. Ever since Seth received the staff from U-Mos, he has been having terrible nightmares. And they're getting worse. Neither Blaze or Flame knew why he had been having these nightmares. Seth knew that Samus could tell he was having trouble sleeping, but he refused to tell her. He didn't want her to worry.
Seth saw that Samus was still sleeping. He also noticed that there was a message from the federation. He opened it and saw that there was a job for them. It was to work with three other bounty hunters to clear computer viruses that had infected several supercomputers called aurora units. They were bioengineered to control the federation network and they were corrupted by a Phazon based virus. The federation believed that the virus was of space pirate origin and they need the help of those who specialized in eliminating space pirates. Seth set a course to rendezvous with the seventh fleet above a planet called Norion.
Seth and Samus now arrived where the seventh fleet was located. They were given permission to land aboard lead ship where admiral Dane was waiting. As they landed their ship, several Galactic Federation marines surrounded them, but they weren't armed with weapons. They were armed with paper and pencils.
"It's Seth and Samus!" A female marine yelled in joy.
"Can I get your autograph?!" A male marine asked.
"Sure." Seth said as he began to sign the papers. Seth and Samus have grown to be the role models that everyone wanted to be.
Seth and Samus quickly met up with admiral Dane and the other bounty hunters. As they entered the briefing room they saw Admiral Dane, Rundas, Ghor, and Samus? Seth and Samus quickly drew their weapons. Suddenly the Samus imposter began to laugh.
"Gandrayda enough!" Admiral Dane said.
"Oh fine. It was just a prank." Gandrayda said as she turned into her true form. Now that everyone was in a serious mood admiral Dane began to speak.
"As you know we have called you five to give you a mission. Recently we have discovered a Phazon virus in our aurora unit network." Behind Dane a hologram appeared. It was of what appears to be a giant brain.
"Ah unit 242 you've joined us." Admiral Dane said.
"An aurora unit. It's my understanding that the federation's network is made up of just units." Ghor said.
"That is correct Ghor, but now we should get to the topic at hand." Aurora unit 242 said as she began to talk.
"Recently a Phazon virus of space pirate origin had corrupted all active Aurora units. Luckily the federation scientist made a vaccine and purged the virus. However the network is still down. In this solar system, we are giving you the task of reconnecting the network. We have each assigned you a job. Fir-." Suddenly a large explosion was heard, and several alarms sirens we ringing.
"Unit 242, what's going on?!" Admiral Dane said.
"A fleet of space pirates has just exited a wormhole. They've begun to attack." Unit 242 reported.
"Dammit! Hunters we need you to defend against the invasion. Seth are you able to fight in space?"
"Yes Admiral Dane. Why?"
"Seth I need you to help the Stiletto fighter against the invasion." Samus didn't like this idea.
"But-."
"Princess its fine. I'm better suited to more open wide range combat. Admiral Dane where do you want me?"
"Seth join up with echo squad. They'll be your wingmen during this fight."
"I got it." Seth said as the group went to their ships.
"Seth you sure you won't need my help?" Samus said as she was running to get to their ship.
"I'll be fine princess." Seth said as they reached the hanger.
Seth and Samus reached their ship when they heard the sound of someone screaming. They turned their heads and saw a federation marine's body flying through a wall. Then something large jumped out of the hole and crushed the body of the marine. Seth and Samus quickly scanned the beast. The federation had labeled it a berserker lord. It was the product of perfecting the research gather from the elite space pirate program and infusing Phazon with DNA.
"Princess go, I'll take care of this guy." Seth said as he equipped [F.L.A.M.E.].
"Alright, just don't kill too many of them. Save some for me." Samus said as she boarded the ship and took off.
Seth now looked at the berserker lord and thought what should his plan of attack be. He couldn't just fire his lasers anywhere. It would destroy the flag ship. He could however fight the beast in close quarter combat.
Seth charged at the berserker lord and the beast responded by firing several spheres of Phazon. Seth got a crazy idea. He waited till the last second before hitting the spheres back at the beast. The spheres of Phazon caused the beast's body to be blown back into an electric fence. When it made contact with the fence something on its back opened up. Seth quickly used an impact punch on its weak spot killing it. The body now fell into the vacuum of space where an unlucky stiletto fighter hit it.
"Sorry." Seth said as he entered the vacuum of space. He switched from [F.L.A.M.E.] to [B.L.A.Z.E.] and joined up with echo squad.
Seth met up with the five fighters of echo squad. They uploaded the information on the current location of the other squads. His main goal was to destroy as many space pirates as he could and avoid friendly fire.
Seth began his assault. Seth saw a squad of space pirate fighters, the federation named these ships "Shrike" Class Assault Skiff. They were heading his way. He created two blue spheres in his hands and unleashed his energy beams on the space pirates. They were instantly destroyed, but before they died, they were able to tell the other pirates Seth location. Soon several hundred squads of space pirates fighters were heading toward Seth.
"Shit." Seth cursed as he saw that on his radar that the space pirates were attempting to surround him. He quickly thought of a plan to quickly eliminate the Shrike fighters. There was an area where the amount of Shrike fighter was significantly lower. He started his attack there.
Seth fired all the noises missiles he had on him. The missiles not only destroyed several enemy fighters, it created a massive amount of noise jamming the communication between the space pirates.
"Trans-Am!" Seth yelled as [B.L.A.Z.E.] began to glow red. He brought out his energy blades and slashed several Shrink fighters in half. Seth kept slashing ship after ship. He didn't even seem like he was close to stopping. Seth put his hands together and formed a large blue sphere. His six bits appeared a few feet in front of the large blue sphere. They began to spin clockwise and Seth unleashed his energy beam. The energy beam was massive and destroyed hundreds of ships. It even took down a large carrier class space pirate ship. This also gave Seth what he wanted. An opening.
Seth travel quickly through the opening and hundreds of Shrike fighters were hot on his tail. Just what he wanted. Seth started to create a black sphere in his hands. Once he reached a safe distance from the fleet, he unleashed the attack. The black sphere left Seth's hands and started to expand. It reached the size of a small car then began to suck up the nearby shrike ships. As it sucked up more and more ships, it grew in size. The space pirates watched in horror as their comrades disappeared.
Seth had eliminated one fifth of the the space pirate forces, but Seth saw that something was starting to wipe out a high number of stiletto fights. He would confront this threat head on.
Meanwhile with Samus.
Samus had landed on the planet Norion. The pirates have already landed on the surface and took down the defense systems. They need to get the three generators up and running. Samus as she was rushing towards the first generator up, met a P.E.D. (Phazon Enhancement Device) Marine. She didn't like the fact that the federation was weaponizing Phazon. It was far too dangerous. Samus already got the first one up and Rundas was assigned the second one. Gandrayda was supposed to get the third one, but she thought it was too much of a hassle, so she let Samus do it.
Samus was just about to bring the generator back online when she heard a strange noise coming above her. Samus turned her head and saw her archenemy, Ridley.
The cybernetic dragon swooped down and grabbed Samus and they fell down the generator shaft. Samus broke free of Ridley's grip but now she began to free fall. Ridley began to charge up his Kinetic Breath beam. Samus fired several shots from her armcannon at Ridley's glowing mouth, stopping his attack. Ridley flew down towards Samus and grabbed her. He tried to fire a Kinetic Fire blast point blank at Samus, but the skilled bounty hunter shot him in the mouth again. Ridley released the hunter once again. He unleashed several fireballs at Samus.
Samus quickly shot the fireball and noticed something. Ridley's energy wings were not working correctly. They were actually really damaged. Samus noticed the area that Seth had slashed off was Ridley's weakest point. Samus charged up her armcannon and unleashed a super missile. The missile was a direct hit. Ridley screeched in pain. Samus was slightly frighten by his screech, but she soon got over it. Ridley's left wing was now gone and he began to fall in a spiral, but he grabbed Samus.
Samus shot Ridley once again in the mouth and he let Samus go, but this time Samus held on and climbed up to Ridley's mouth. She prided opened Ridley's mouth and jammed her armcannon inside. She unleashed several missiles straight into the cybernetic dragons throat.
"Die fucker!" Samus yelled as she depleted her missiles with a final super missile. The dragon fell and Samus jumped up and luckily Rundas had arrived just in time. He grabbed her arm and flew up.
"That was a little too hot for my liking Samus." Rundas said as they arrived back to the main area.
"I've already turn generator two on, so I'll leave this to you. When you're done, come to the main elevator, there we'll restore the planets defense systems." Rundas said as he flew away.
Meanwhile With Seth.
Seth had flew to the source of all the recent casualties. His eyes grew wide as he saw something that rose from the dead. Seth quickly formed two blue spheres in his hands and unleashed the attack. Dark Seth easily avoided the attack. The reborn being of phazon quickly formed a blue sphere of his own. Dark Seth fired his massive Phazon beam. Seth moved away to avoid the beam, but Dark Seth dragged them beam across the sky destroying hundreds of federation and space pirates fighters.
"Bastard!" Seth yelled as he unleashed a massive barrage from miniguns and missiles. Dark Seth created a Phazon barrier to protect itself. Seth cursed again as nothing seemed to be working against the dark warrior.
Seth decided that he would used close quarters combat against Dark Seth. Seth brought out [B.L.A.Z.E.]'s energy blades and charged at Dark Seth. The Dark warrior brought out his own Phazon blades and charged at Seth. The two clashed their blades, but Seth's blades were shattered. Seth's eyes widen in shock when he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He looked down in horror as he saw Dark Seth's Phazon blade inside of him.
"SETH! SETH SOMETHING IS ENTERING US!" Blaze yelled in pain.
"KICK HIM AWAY!" Flame yelled as well.
Seth could feel something corrupting him, but the part that scared him the most, was that he liked it. Seth kicked Dark Seth away and the Dark Warrior left.
"Dammit..." Seth said as blacked out. Blaze and Flame now sent a distress signal.
Back with Samus.
Samus was heading towards the main elevator when she received a message from Admiral Dane.
"Hunters hurry! There's a massive astro heading towards the planet. Aurora unit 242 said its made of Phazon. They intend to smash the damn thing into the planet."
Samus wasted no time in getting to the elevator. Samus and the other hunters were now in the elevator. They began some small talk.
"Dammit this is gonna be close." Gandrayda said as the elevator was raising.
"Hey, relax! We're the good guys! Justice will prevail and all that stuff... right, Samus?" Rundas said to calm the mood. Samus was about to say something when a message appeared on her visor.
'Seth Fairs is critically injured. Requires immediate medical attention.'
"Seth!" Samus said in shocked.
"Samus I'm sorry." Rundas said.
"Sammy, Seth is strong, he'll be fine." Gandrayda said to comfort the girl.
"Hey I lost 94% of my body and I'm alright. I sure the federation will be able to fix him." Ghor said jokingly. Samus knew that they were just trying to make her feel better. She decided that she would finish the mission.
As the elevator reached the top, the hunters rushed to get the main cannon online. Samus began to punch in the codes when they heard a strange noise. They turned their heads and saw a blue being appear. Samus's eyes widen in shock.
Ghor and Gandrayda were the first to attack. They each fired a barrage at the Dark Hunter. Dark Samus easily dodged the attack and blast the two hunters with several shot from her armcannon. Rundas was the next to attack, but Dark Samus fired a shot at him, knocking him off his feet. Dark Samus fired a shot at Samus, but Samus easily avoided the attack and fired several at the dark hunter.
The other bounty hunters got up and they got ready to attack Dark Samus. However Dark Samus unleashed a shockwave of Phazon at knocked everyone out. Dark Samus left the tower as her mission was done.
Samus with the last of her energy dragged herself to the computer and input the final codes to turn the planetary defense system online. A massive laser shot the Phazon meteor down, Saving the planet.
Three Weeks Later.
"Seth..." A disembodied voice whispers.
"Seth..."
"Seth we need you."
"Seth make..." Seth shot opened his eyes and the voice faded.
"Blaze, Flame, was that you speaking?" Seth asked.
"We haven't said anything master." Flame said.
"Hello,Seth are you feeling alright." A new voice said. Seth turned his eyes and saw a female federation crew member. Seth noticed that he was in a G.F. Medical Pod. The female crew member saw that Seth was wanting to move out of the pod. She opened it allowing him to move.
"Seth please stay still." The crew member said as she was running a check up. "You're lucky Seth. It's been three weeks we thought we almost lost you." She said as she pressed several buttons on her tablet.
"Alright, your vital signs are all reading green. Seth after your defeat, your body has started to produce Phazon."
"WHAT!" Seth voice was heard all throughout the G.F.S. Olympus. His body had begun to create the most toxic substance in the known universe.
"Seth calm down. You're perfectly fine." Blaze said calming the boy down.
"Blaze, what the fuck is going on?!" Seth asked.
"When we were defeated Dark Seth infected us." Blaze spoke.
"And we can't purge it without killing you master." Flame said.
"Seth please pay attention." The female crew member said.
"Sorry. You were saying."
"Like I said, we've equipped all three of your units with P.E.D. Units."
"P.E.D.?"
"Ah that right. You didn't fight on the surface of Norion. P.E.D. Stands for Phazon Enhancement Device. It was made using stolen space pirate data. It allows a normal P.E.D marine to gain an incredible amount of power. Normally a trooper would need an external supply of Phazon, but with you that won't be a problem." Seth activated [B.L.A.Z.E.] and saw that there was some new armor added to his chest area.
"Seth it will take 100 energy points for you to enter Hypermode. Try it out." The crew member brought out several phazite plates. These were a metal that was infused with Phazon making it extremely difficult to break. Seth entered Hypermode. [B.L.A.Z.E.] began to glow blue. Her particle changed from red to blue. Everything Seth saw was in black and white. It was a sensory overload. Seth charged up an energy sphere, but this time was was light blue. Seth held back as much as possible but the beam not only destroyed the phazite, it also blow a hole in several layers of the ship.
"Sorry." Seth said.
"No Seth. It's our fault. We didn't realize it would be so powerful. Now than admiral Dane wants to see you."
"Wait where's Samus."
"She's next to you." Seth turned to his left and as Samus inside of a medical pod. He wanted her to wake up, but he had to get to the admiral. Seth traveled towards admiral Dane. Where he was greeted by many fans that were glad he was alright.
"Seth you were a vital assets in the last mission. However thing have not gone so well." Admiral Dane said as he led Seth to the aurora Unit. Unit 242 wanted to speak personally with Seth.
"We discovered that Norion was not the only planet attacked three weeks ago. Bryyo and Elysia were also hit. Last week we sent Ghor, and Rundas to each a planet. Gandrayda was sent to the space pirate homeworld, but we've lost contact with all of them two days ago." Unit 242 said,
"So you want me to look for them." Seth stated.
"That is correct. We want you to help find the other hunters and aid them in repairing the Aurora network." Unit 242 said.
"What about Samus?"
"We'll update you on her status along the way and inform you once she wakes up." Seth was pleased with this answer. He decided that Samus would need their ship once she woke up and [B.L.A.Z.E.] could already travel through space without any trouble.
Seth departed from the G.F.S. Olympus and headed towards Bryyo. Rundas's last known location.
Bryyo.
Seth was now on the surface of Bryyo. He saw a lot of runes from a civilization that once ruled this planet. Seth saw a lot of ice here, which was strange, considering that the average temperature was 44*C.
Seth knew it had to be from Rundas. He followed the path and It led him to several space pirate militia. Seth didn't like to fight these guys as they were enslaved by the space pirates, but he had to kill them. Seth showed no mercy as he unleashed his noise missiles. Killing most of them. A beast rider appeared and charged at Seth. Seth moved to the side and cut off the beast's legs on it left side. The beast tried to stab Seth with its razor sharp tongue, but Seth caught it and ripped it out. The beast now screamed in pain.
"Elemental Shift." Seth said as [B.L.A.Z.E.] changed to yellow. Seth shot a massive lightning bolt at the beast. Seth smirked as the beast slowly died.
"Seth what's wrong with you?" Blaze didn't like how Seth had played with that beast. Seth normally killed thing instantly, but he never got any fun from it.
"Sorry I don't know what came over me." Seth said. He didn't know why he started to play with it, but he liked it.
Seth decided to take [B.L.A.Z.E.] off and wash his face in a nearby river. As Seth washed his face he jumped back as he saw his own reflection. His eyes were blue instead of red now.
"Blaze, Flame, what's going on?"
"It's a side effect of the Phazon, master. We can't fix it." Flame said. Seth was saddened by this. He liked his red eyes, but what would he tell everyone back home about his eyes. Seth brushed this off as he had a mission to do. He would find a way to fix his eyes or hide them.
Seth found a large growth of Phazon blocking his path. He knew that he would either have to use [F.L.A.M.E.] red Gaia eraser or Hypermode to destroy the growth. It was just so strong. Seth decided that Hypermode would be better.
Seth entered Hypermode. He created a light blue sphere and unleashed the attack. The massive Phazon beam destroyed the wall, but the wall unleashed a massive amount of Phazon and some of it got on Seth. Something happen. Seth felt a massive pain in his chest. His eyes began to glow blue.
"WHAT THE FUCK!" Seth yelled in pain.
"SETH FIRE A BEAM RIGHT NOW!" Blaze screamed. Seth formed a massive sphere of Phazon and unleashed it. The ball of a Phazon destroyed a section of a mountain. The P.E.D. System vented out the remaining Phazon and Seth returned to normal. A call came and Seth answered it.
"Seth are you alright. We received data from your P.E.D. Unit that you had a Phazon overload." Unit 242 said.
"I don't what happen. One second I'm fine, the next I feel like I'm gonna die." Seth said as he was breathing heavily.
"Seth after entering Hypermode the Phazon in you body will go into overdrive and start to produce too much. If it goes unchecked, you will die. We now realize that giving you the P.E.D. Device has put you in great danger. We are sorry." Unit 242 stated.
Seth knew that using the Phazon was a double edge sword, but it gave him a massive amount of power. He would have to use it with great care.
A little while later.
Seth was currently facing several carrier ships full of space pirates. These were no problem to seth at all, but they were starting to get annoying. It seemed as if the space pirates had an unlimited amount of troops to drop on him. Seth destroyed two more carriers ships, before they began to back off. Seth wondered what could have caused the pirates to stop attacking him.
Seth turned his head and saw several icicles rise up out of the ground.
Seth turned to the source and saw Randus.
"Randus, thanks you sa-" Seth moved to the side as Randus had sent a wave of ice to attack him.
"The hell was that for man?!" Seth asked. Randus began to surf on his ice and circled around Seth.
"If it's a fight you want, it's a fight you'll get. Elemental Shift." Seth's armor turned red. Two flamethrowers appeared on his wrist.
"Lets see whats stronger, my fire, or your ice." Seth said as he launched himself at Randus. Seth fired a stream of fire at the Phrygisian being. Randus responded by launching a stream of ice at Seth, however Seth's was stronger.
Seth's flame torched the Phrygisian body, Randus responded by creating a layer of Ice that would act like a armor for him. Seth appeared above Randus and kicked him to the ground. Seth flew down and landed on top of him, shattering his ice armor. Seth brought out an energy blade and was about to deliver the final blow.
Randus saw that he was about to be defeated, he activated Hypermode and kicked off Seth. The I.S. user was surprised by the sudden kick and the amount of power it had. Seth avoided the barrage of ice that Randus had just fired. This Ice was enhanced by the phazon and was almost impossible to melt by normal mean.
"Fine, Two can play that game!" Seth said as he entered Hypermode. Seth Flames were now much hotter now. Seth and Randus unleashed a stream of their attack. Seth's Phazon Fire was against Randus's Phazon Ice.
They were fighting for dominance when Seth's Fire won. It torched the Phrygisian body, melted the nearby Ice and Randus's ice armor. Seth knew the Randus was done, but he wasn't gonna kill him. He was a good guy and the Phazon had corrupted him. He watched in horror as Randus's own Icicles impaled himself.
"No, Dammit!" Seth said as he slammed his fist on the ground. He got out of Hypermode and was beyond mad. Seth didn't notice the dark being steal something from Randus.
"Seth there was nothing you could have done to save him, he used his own power to free himself. He wanted to die." Blaze's words resonated with Seth, he was truly powerless. He walked up to the dead body and something entered his system. He found that is was an Ice missile upgrade. He kept it in memory of Randus.
A little bit later on.
Seth had learned that the space pirates were protecting the phazon seed or the Leviathans as the space pirates called it. They raised several shields to protect the seeds as they spread the corruption. Seth had destroyed the shield generators and the seed was expose. Seth flew in not knowing what awaited him inside.
Seth was now deep within the Leviathan seed and saw a stone golem inside the center. Seth scanned the stone golem and found out it name. Mogenar. The stone golem reactivated in the presence of an intruder. Seth switched from [B.L.A.Z.E.] to [F.L.A.M.E.] and noticed that [F.L.A.M.E.] was equipped with a P.E.D. as well. Seth was pulled out of his thoughts when he heard the massive Mogenar running toward him.
The stone golem threw a punch at [F.L.A.M.E.]. Seth counter with an Impact punch and the two attack hit one another. Seth's attack was weaker. He was sent flying back and hit a pool of liquid Phazon. Seth found out that Phazon now healed him. He got up and entered Hypermode. [F.L.A.M.E.] began to glow blue and her particles turned blue. Seth quickly charged at Mogenar and delivered a Hypermode impact punch. The stone golem was sent back and lost its footing. Seth brought out [F.L.A.M.E.]'s railguns and shot one of the red spheres with a Phazon beam. The massive beam destroyed the red sphere and Mogenar roared in pain.
"I've found your weak spot." Seth yelled as he aimed for a second red sphere. He used [F.L.A.M.E.]'s bits to cut the second red sphere. He noticed that his Phazon bar was nearly depleted. Seth felt a strange energy growing inside of him. He liked the way it felt. His Phazon bar began to grow again.
Seth fired several Hypermode beam shots at Mogenar the beast responded by creating a layer of phazite to act like armor. The stone golem also used it immaterial hands to try and crush Seth. Seth however blasted the hands with his railguns and shot the third sphere with a Hyper Beam blast. Seth wondered where the last core was. He had destroyed three of them, and the fourth was nowhere to be seen.
Seth saw that it was on Mogenar's back. He used his bit to hit when it was too focus on Seth. The stone golem fell to the ground and exploded, leaving behind a Hypermode ball upgrade. Which was unusable do to the fact that Seth didn't have morphball.
Seth saw several things pop out of the ground. Blaze said that he had to use Hyper Ball to destroy them, Seth said that he would try something else. He used Element Shift in [F.L.A.M.E.] and Flame changed from red to yellow in color. Seth entered Hyper Mode. He unleashed several lightning bolts that were now blue in color. This acted the same way that Hyper ball would. The small growths were now destroyed and something appeared above Seth. It was the Phazon Core.
The Core itself a grey mass that is insectoid in appearance. It has a singular blue eye. Beneath the eye is a set of two primary mandibles and four secondary ones underneath them. Two feelers emerge from either side of the Core's eye.
The Core was releasing massive amounts of phazon radiation in an attempt to make Seth its guardian. The Phazon inside of Seth resonated with the Core and went into overdrive. Seth used this to his advantage and charged up a massive amount of Phazon into [F.L.A.M.E.]'s railguns. He created a light blue sphere in his hands and on his disk bits. Seth unleashed a massive beam of Phazon and destroyed the Phazon Core. Seth began to feel really sick, he removed [F.L.A.M.E.] and threw up what appeared to be Phazon.
"Seth where the hell are you!?" A voice yelled at Seth. Seth looked to his com-link and saw a pissed off Samus.
"Hey Princess." Seth said before he puke again.
"Seth are you alright? What wrong?"
"It's nothing. I'm fine."
"Seth I'm coming to pick you up, just wait." Seth rejected this idea.
"Negative. Head towards Elysia. I'll rejoin with you there."
"But-"
"I'll be fine. I'll be right behind you. Here you'll need these." Seth sent Samus several upgrades he found that would only work for her. Once Samus received the data she flew off towards Elysia.
Seth finally finished throwing up and headed towards Elysia, where he would have a lot of talking to do.
Elysia.
As Seth entered Skytown, he was greeted to the sight of Ghor smashing their ship. Seth switched from [B.L.A.Z.E] to [F.L.A.M.E.] and attack the cybernetic bounty hunter. Ghor received a impact punch to the left side of his armor suit.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Seth asked.
"Don't you feel the power? Soon everything will be corrupted. Including you." Ghor said as he entered attack mode. Seth ordered his ship to leave the battle zone.
Ghor brought out his plasma blades and Seth brought out his energy blades. [F.L.A.M.E.]'s energy blades were much slower than [B.L.A.Z.E.]'s, but they were still faster than Ghor.
Seth and Ghor blades clashed again and again creating small sparks each time. Seth saw that Ghor had a weak spot in his chest. Seth used his bits to attack Ghor. They created a red sphere and unleashed a energy beam at Ghor's chest plate.
"Dammit." Ghor cursed as he held his chest in pain. The cybernetic hunter entered Hypermode and began to spin rapidly in an attempt to hit Seth.
Seth entered Hypermode as well and used [F.L.A.M.E.], with her massive strength, to stop Ghor from spinning. Seth delivered a massive Hyper Impact punch to the metal frame of Ghor's exoskeleton. The Phazon enhanced punch was more then enough to shatter the remaining 6% of organic material that Ghor had. Ghor's body began shut down.
Just then Samus appeared and saw that Seth killed Ghor. She knew that he had to. He was long gone, but Ghor was a kind soul. He would work for free for the poor, and gave his money he earned to the family members of the ones he killed. Ghor would however transform once he entered his suit. Rage would take over the kind soul. The Phazon had used this to its advantage and corrupted Ghor.
Seth and Samus were brought out of their thoughts when they saw something come and devour Ghor's body. Seth still in Hypermode shot a barrage of Hypermode beam at the shadowy figure, but the phantom figure just laughed at Seth's attempts to harm it.
"GODDAMMIT!" Seth yelled as he slammed his fist on the ground cracking it.
"Seth there was nothing we could have done. Ghor was long gone." Samus said to comfort the boy.
Seth undid [F.L.A.M.E.] and looked at Samus in the face. Seth saw underneath her visor a vein of Phazon. Samus saw that the corruption was effecting Seth. His glowing blue eyes and a large blue vein on his face. She wonder if this was happening to her.
Seth and Samus saw that the shadow left a power up for Samus. It was her plasma beam, but this version had a welding torch like power to it. With it they could fix the damaged aurora unit 217.
After they repaired the aurora unit they were told that they would need to make a Theronian Bomb in order to invade the phazon seed that infected the planet. It was more like an advance thermonuclear bomb. Seth however had a different idea.
Seth flew up in [F.L.A.M.E.] where the leviathan seed was located and enter Hypermode. Seth railguns readied themselves and his disk bits appeared in front of him. He began to create a massive ball of Phazon it was so large that Seth entered corrupted Hypermode.
"Seth this is too dangerous. If you continue, you'll end up like the other hunters." Unit 217 said.
"Just a little more." Seth said as he was growing the ball of Phazon to a greater size. Once it reached a massive size, Seth unleashed it. It stayed in a ball form until it reach the leviathan shield and exploded. The massive explosion was able to destroy the shield and exposed the leviathan seed.
Samus didn't like how reckless Seth was using Hypermode, but it gave him a massive amount of power. She would confront him later on his use.
Leviathan Seed.
As the duo entered the depths of the seed that met the guardian, Helios. It was the alpha for all of Elysia's swarmbots and could use them as a shield. Seth brought out [B.L.A.Z.E.] and Samus aimed her arm cannon at Helios. She fired the first shot. Samus fired a charge plasma beam shot, but the attack was intercepted by the swarm bots protecting Helios. Seth saw that if they wanted to hit Helios, they would need to destroy the swarm bots first.
Seth spun up the miniguns on [B.L.A.Z.E.] and unleashed a massive volley of bullets on the swarm bots. He unleashed 30 noise missiles for added measure. He didn't want to leave any alive. Seth noticed that he was almost done with the swarm bots. He told Samus to be ready to attack.
Helios without its swarm bots was hit by the massive volley. It tried to move out of the way, but Seth kept his guns right on the robotic bastard. Helios was force to open its chest and the hunters attacked.
Seth and Samus both entered Hypermode and charged up their beam. Their Hypermode beams were a direct hit on the core of Helios and it twitched in pain even though it was a machine.
Helios summoned another swarm of swarm bots to defend itself. Seth worked on getting rid of the swarm bots, but this time Helios rolled into a ball and charged at Seth and Samus.
Seth picked up Samus to moved out away from the attack. Seth didn't let up on his bombardment. He was able to get rid of enough swarm bots for them to strike once more at the guardian. Seth, while still in Hypermode, unleashed a massive volley of Phazon enhance energy shots. Samus charged up her armcannon and shot a charged Hypermode beam at Helios. The exposed chest began to glow before it exploded in a fury of Phazon. Seth and Samus both received an upgrade. It was Hypermode missiles.
Both Seth and Samus's corruption level was now at 50%. They felt sick, but they suppressed their discomfort as the Phazon core appeared. They had to vent out the excess amount of Phazon that they both received. Seth created a light blue sphere in front of his chest and Samus pressed several button on her P.E.D. Device. They both vented out the excess Phazon in a blue beam destroying the Phazon core. They left as the Phazon core blew up.
Unit 217 told them that the last core was on the space pirate homeworld and it would be very hard to sneak in. Seth and Samus traveled to their ship and received a coded message. They open it and listen to the audio log.
It was a message from a marine that was captured a month ago during the Norion invasion. And he was asking for help. He said that he had information that would be vital for the federation and a way to avoid the acid rain that plagued the pirate homeworld. Seth and Samus decided to help the marine.
Pirate homeworld.
Seth and Samus had landed on the surface through a secret entrance. Seth had a lot of trouble with stealth as [B.L.A.Z.E.] and [F.L.A.M.E.] were meant to fight against a large number of enemies at once. They were made to be loud and destructive. They both lacked a stealth feature. Even with Seth slowing them down they made great progress towards the distress signal and soon met with the missing marine, but something seem strange to Seth and Samus. Why would the pirates take a prisoner and why would they let him keep all his weapons.
The captured federation marine opened fire on both Seth and Samus.
"Dammit, I knew it. Gandrayda!" Seth said as the marine morphed back into Gandrayda.
"Hahaha, Seth you know that you shouldn't trust strangers, don't you?" Gandrayda said mockingly. Samus fired several shots at Gandrayda with her armcannon. However Gandrayda transformed into a berserker lord and charged at Samus. Seth brought out [F.L.A.M.E.] and got in between Gandrayda and Samus. Seth grabbed the berserker lord-G by her hands and threw her into the acid rain. Gandrayda transformed back to normal.
"Not bad for some kids. Lets see how you do against this." Gandrayda transformed into Rundas-G and began to surf on ice like Rundas did. Seth and Samus noticed that Gandrayda was pressing down on several pillar, they soon learned that these were the control for the roof and when it went down, they were exposed to the acid rain. Normally Acid rain would have little to no effect on [B.L.A.Z.E.] or [F.L.A.M.E.], but this acid rain was so acidic. It was fifteen times stronger than Fluoroantimonic acid. Seth and Samus had to avoid exposed areas as the acid would eat away at their energy points.
"Seth you need to get those pillars up, that will bring the roof back up" Blaze said. Seth used his grapple beam, that Samus gave him, and brought up the pillars raising the roof.
Samus fired several shot from her Plasma beam at the transforming hunter, forcing her to morph back into her normal form.
Gandrayda now transformed into Ghor-G and attack Samus again, but Seth had other plans. He delivered a impact punch at the shapeshifter and caused her to transform back into her normal form.
"Let see you fight against this." Gandrayda said as she transformed into Samus-G and used her Morph ball form to zigzag around the duo and hit both Seth and Samus, she undid her morph ball and unleashed a massive phazon beam from her armcannon. Seth got in front of Samus and raised a barrier to protect them. It work and Gandrayda had used so much energy that she was forced to transform back into her original self.
"I'm not finished yet!" Gandrayda said as she transformed into Seth with [B.L.A.Z.E.] equipped. and charged at the duo again. This time she entered Hyper Mode as did Seth. Seth saw that Gandrayda had energy blades draw out ready to kill them. He grabbed a hold of Gandrayda by grabbing both her wrist, and used the needle gun in his shoulder to deliver the final attack.
Gandrayda screams in agony as she rapidly cycles through different forms a Space Pirate, Rundas, Ghor, a Berserker Knight, Samus in the P.E.D. suit and finally Seth in [B.L.A.Z.E.] They watched in horror as the dark figure came and devoured Gandrayda, who is looked like Seth.
"Seth..." Samus said softly.
"I won't let that happen." Seth suddenly said surprising Samus.
"I won't allow myself to be consumed like the others and I'll make sure that you won't either." Seth said as they continued with their journey. Gandrayda had dropped a power called Grapple Voltage that was useable by both Seth and Samus. With it they could explore much more of the Space pirate homeworld. Seth and Samus received a message saying that the federation was planning to do an invasion of the Space Pirate homeworld, but they need to get the planetary defences offline. Seth and Samus after getting the Hazard shield upgrade for both of them, and the Nova beam for Samus, they shut down the planetary defences. An alarm sounded and several Space Pirates Commandos came down to kill Seth and Samus, but just then the Federation force came and the Invasion began.
Seth and Samus saw a Admiral coming towards them with several troops protecting him.
"Seth, Samus excellent work as usual. Now then I have assigned a group of 12 demolition troopers to help open your way to the leviathan core. Lets move it boys!" Admiral Dane said as he left with his troops to fight some space pirates.
Seth and Samus arrive where the twelve demolition troopers were. They looked different than a standard federation marine. They were brown in color and had yellow highlights. They had less armor then a normal marine and their visor was significantly smaller.
"Seth, Samus, were part of the task force admiral Dane has assign to follow you. We will open a way to the leviathan seed, but we'll need you to protect us. We have much weaker armor." The trooper said.
"Don't worry I won't let a single thing tough you." Seth said as he switched from [F.L.A.M.E.] to [B.L.A.Z.E.]. Seth flew above the group and would act like close air support.
Samus led the group through the pirate infested territory. She spotted a group of pirates trying to stop them, however as soon as Seth saw them he unload a volley of missiles and rounds from [B.L.A.Z.E.]'s miniguns.
Seth was true to his word. He didn't even let a single one of his troops get hit. Actually he didn't even let them fire a single shot. Some of the troops were unhappy that they were unable to kick some space pirate ass. Once they found the way to the leviathan seed, they opened the path and they spilt ways. Samus and Seth went to the seed and the troops went to help the rest of the federation fight the space pirates. Seth and Samus departed from their ship and entered the inner sanctum of the seed. Suddenly they both heard an all too familiar roar.
"This fucker is still alive?!" Seth said as he brought out his energy blades.
"Dammit! This time I'm going to make sure this fucker is dead!" Samus yelled as she wasted not time in entering Hypermode.
Seth followed the bounty hunter's lead and entered Hypermode. as well. Suddenly he appeared again, but he was reborn. Omega Ridley.
Seth created a light blue sphere in his hands and unleashed the attack. The light blue beam of Phazon headed towards the cybernetic dragon, but Omega Ridley jumped up and avoided the attack. Samus saw that Omega Ridley was preoccupied with Seth. She fired several Hypermode missiles at the cybernetic dragon's face. They were a direct hit. Omega Ridley held its face in pain as the power Hypermode missiles had a slight burning effect. Seth and Samus both saw that Omega Ridley's chest was a weak spot and that they could use their grapple beams on it. Seth and Samus used their grapple beams to attach to the left and right chest plates and ripped them off. Seth rushed in with his Energy blades, which were now Phazon enhanced making them Hyper Blades. Seth stabbed the core with his Hyper Blades and the cybernetic dragon screeched in pain. Seth was ripped off by Ridley, and the cybernetic dragon flew up again. This time he traveled throughout the seed.
Seth and Samus could hear his roar, but they couldn't tell where it was coming from. Seth switched from [B.L.A.Z.E.] to [F.L.A.M.E.] and raised a barrier. Just then a volley of Phazon enhance fireballs came and blasted the barrier. The barrier stood strong against the attack, but it drained a large amount of points. The cybernetic dragon landed and was about to fired an attack when Samus unleashed a charged shot at the dragon's mouth. Seth used this to get behind Omega Ridley.
Omega Ridley saw this and fired a Phazon blast from his tail, which surprised Seth.
"That's new." Seth said as he narrowly avoided the attack. Samus quickly ripped open Omega Ridley's chest plate and shot at the core. Omega Ridley charged up a blast inside of his mouth and fired, but Seth shut his mouth and the blast set off inside of his mouth. Seth tore open the core and stepped aside. Samus came in using her Screw Attack and hit directly in the core. Omega Ridley roared as it would try one last attack, but Seth had other plans. Seth fired all 60 of his Hyper Missiles at Omega Ridley's core finishing the battle.
Omega Ridley's body began to glow light blue before it exploded leaving behind a new upgrade. It was called Hyper Grapple. With it they would funnel phazon into enemies or into each other, but this came at a cost. Samus and Seth's corruption level now exceeded 75% and caused some significant changes to their bodies.
Seth and Samus both saw several tentacles on the roof of the leviathan. They used Hyper Grapple on these growths and they exploded. Suddenly the Phazon Core appeared. Seth and Samus quickly vented out the excess Phazon in their systems and destroyed the Core.
As Seth and Samus returned to their ship, they began to notice that their suits were slightly more blue. [B.L.A.Z.E.] was slightly lavender and had several blue veins all over it. [F.L.A.M.E.] was violet in color and had blue line running all over it. Samus's suit was purple in color and had phazon running all over the cracks on it. However the biggest shock was when they took off their suits. They both saw that there was a black veins all across their faces . The next thing they noticed that their sclera was now pitch black.
"What the hell is this?!" Seth said.
"Seth this is a side effect of the Phazon, there's nothing we can do to stop it." Seth suddenly saw Blaze in her human form and saw that she too was being affected by the corruption.
"Master we have to stop this thing soon." Flame said as she appeared to Seth. Seth noticed that Flame was also sharing the same side effects as well.
They had to find a way to stop this soon, before it was too late.
A Day Later.
Aurora Unit 242 had said that Unit 217 had special information for Samus and Seth, but before they left, the federation found something. It was a Leviathan, but it was above the planet. They learned that the pirates would use this for something, but exactly what was still a mystery.
Seth learned from data logs left on the Pirate Homeworld that it was able to make portals, much like Blaze, but it lead to somewhere special.
Unit 242 told Seth that a clue might be inside the G.F.S. Valhalla. A ship that was attack three months earlier. Seth and Samus decided that to speed up their limited time they would split up. Seth would head to the G.F.S. Valhalla and Samus to Skytown.
G.F.S. Valhalla
Seth didn't like being inside the G.F.S. Valhalla. It was so creepy, he felt as if something was always watching him. As Seth traveled deeper into the Valhalla, he was finding nothing. He reached the room where Aurora unit 313 one held in and found a code on a dead Marine's PDA. Seth entered the code on the somewhat working terminal and a message played.
"Data log entry 2467.3. This will be the last communication of the G.F.S. Valhalla. Our efforts to repel the Space Pirate boarding force have failed. They have successfully removed the primary mounting structure around our stasis tank. It is obvious now that they intend to extract us from the Valhalla. It is vital that the Federation receive this transmission.
...Severing main power...
A large bioform is creating a wormhole...
...Implant into...
Sentient planet which is the source of all Phazon.
...Darkness coming."
Seth found the command codes for the Leviathan, but he didn't know it. As he was heading back to the entrance, Several Phazon Metroids appeared. They looked much different than Tallon IV, but they could phase through the normal matter. Seth brought out his energy blades and slashed at the Phazon Metroids. As Seth's blade was about to make contact with the Metroid, the Metroid phase out of normal matter and Seth's blade went right through it. Seth was surprised, but he quickly remembered the best way to destroy a Metroid. He used elemental shift and [B.L.A.Z.E.] turned light blue. He fired a ice beam blast freezing all the Metroids and fired missiles to finish them off. Seth decided to exit the Valhalla once he saw an opening.
Space Pirate Homeworld.
Seth and Samus had regrouped at the space pirate homeworld. Samus told Seth that there was a planet that was the source of all Phazon in the universe. The Chozo called it Phaaze. The Chozo had learned of its existences many years ago, but it was so far away that they could not reach it through normal means of space transportation. Seth had revealed the message that Aurora unit 313 had left behind to Admiral Dane.
"I refuse to wait for them to attack us."
"But sir how will we reach them. Phaaze is 450 Light years away." A crew member said.
"We can use the Leviathan." Seth said.
"Seth Fairs I don't understand what you mean?" Admiral Dane said.
"[B.L.A.Z.E.] and [F.L.A.M.E.] have just decoded something I picked up on the G.F.S. Valhalla. It's a type of command code. With it we could gain control of the Leviathan Battle ship and open a wormhole to Phaaze." Seth said.
"Well what the hell are we waiting for! All forces prepare for war! We're going to eliminate every single last atom of Phazon in this universe!" Admiral Dane said as his crew worked on arming the fleet.
"Seth and Samus you two go and gain control of the Leviathan." Admiral Dane said as he left to deal with other matter.
Seth and Samus quickly entered the Leviathan battle ship. Seth input the command codes and the federation gained control of the Leviathan. Once Seth and Samus rejoined the fleet with their ship they opened the wormhole. The fleet warped to Phaaze.
Phaaze.
As soon as the fleet got out of the wormhole they were under attack by a space pirate fleet. The federation fleet deployed all of its stiletto fighters and the space pirate fleet deployed its own fighters as well.
Seth and Samus were given the task of finding and destroying Dark Seth and Dark Samus. They found a path to enter the planet without being detected by any space pirate fighters. They were able to safely land on the surface of Phaaze.
"You ready to finish this, princess." Seth said before he was about to equip [B.L.A.Z.E.].
"You know it." Samus said as she activated her Powersuit.
As the duo got off of their ship and landed on the surface of Phaaze, something happen. They both felt a sharp pain in their chest. Seth suddenly found himself inside of [C.O.L.D.] and in Hyper Mode.
"Blaze, Flame what's going on."
"Master your corruption level is far too high for the P.E.D. To handle. As such we have fused together so you can vent out the excess Phazon."
"I thought that we could only use [C.O.L.D.] for only ten minutes max." After dark Aether collapsed, Blaze and Flame told Seth that they couldn't use [C.O.L.D.] so much because [F.L.A.M.E.] would run out of energy. She didn't have an unlimited energy source like a S2 organ.
"Normally yes, but here on Phaaze we have an unlimited amount of energy. However if you let the bar on you visor fill up, you will die." Blaze said as a bar now appeared on his visor.
A message appeared on Samus's visor. Due to critical levels of internal Phazon corruption, the emergency vent override has been triggered by the PED Suit. All acquired Energy Tanks have been vented to temporarily prevent total corruption. Hypermode weapons no longer require the extinguishing of an Energy Tank to use. You are now permanently in Hypermode. Unfortunately, this vent override can no longer be used. Damage, as well as exposure to Phaaze's atmosphere, will continue to raise your Phazon level. Your Phazon level is shown as a yellow bar at the top of the HUD. If your Phazon level fills completely, you will die.
Samus and Seth were almost fully corrupted, but yet again they have resisted its temptation. Seth and Samus decided to venture on. They failed to notice something entering their ship.
Seth and Samus had seen many strange things in this universe, but Phaaze was something else. If it were not for the fact that being on Phaaze could kill them, they would have watch the vast biodiversity that this planet offered them. They however were soon brought to the Dark Duo's inner sanctum.
Dark Samus and Dark Seth were waiting for them. As soon as the duo landed, Seth was the first to fire. He shot two massive Phazon beams at the Dark duo. Dark Seth met Seth beams with his own beams and they entered a power struggle, but Seth's beams were stronger. Dark Seth saw that he was going to lose, so he entered Trans-Am and began to glow bright blue. He moved three times faster, but Seth was still faster.
Samus and Dark Samus were blasting each other with their Phazon powered arm cannons. They fired everything they had at each other. Missiles and charged blasts of Phazon. They both at an even match, but this changed when Dark Samus began to make Dark Echo.
They were clones of Dark Samus and were far weaker. However they were still deadly. The Dark Echoes were about to surround Samus when Seth bits came and slashed the clones apart. Seth was currently in a duel with Dark Seth. Their energy blades were clashing with massive amounts of Phazon being released. The clashed again and again until Seth finally overpowered Dark Seth. Seth quickly formed a light blue sphere in his hands and on his railguns. He unleashed the three beams on the dark hunter injuring him to the point where he revealed one of his skills. A blue portal opened and Dark Seth entered it.
"Fucking A, he got away!" Seth cursed as there was no way to track him. He had to turn his attention to Dark Samus.
Dark Samus was on her last leg. Samus had grown far more powerful then she could have imagine with the Phazon and she wasn't corrupted with the power. How could these humans resist the Phazon so much. Why wouldn't they fall.
Dark Samus called forth the missing Aurora Unit 313 that was now fused with the planet Phaaze and she too fused with it.
Seth and Samus saw that their bars were dangerously close to filling up. They decided that they would do one final attack. Seth charged up his railguns and in his hands made a massive sphere of Phazon. Samus charged up her armcannon and readied to unleashed her blast at the same time as Seth. Dark Samus inside of Unit 313 decided to fire one last attack to finish off these two mere humans. She began to form a large sphere of Phazon in front of Aurora unit 313.
Seth, Samus, and Dark Samus were all ready and unleashed their attack. Seth and Samus beams clashed with Dark Samus's and entered a power struggle. Seth and Samus's beams were far stronger and easily defeated Dark Samus. The aurora unit exploded in a fury of Phazon and Dark Samus appeared in front of the duo. She twitched and let out horrifying roars of pain as she finally disappeared. They both felt a slight pain in their chest and they exited Hypermode.
Their victory was short lived as the whole planet of Phaaze began to self destruct. They rushed back to their ship and got the hell off of the planet.
They were too slow for the federation and they already opened the wormhole and were about to close it. As their ship almost reached the wormhole it closed. The planet Phaaze was about to exploded with the fury of a super nova.
"BLAZE, DO SOMETHING NOW!" Seth yelled suddenly a portal opened up in front of them allow them to escape the explosion.
Meanwhile with Chris.
It was almost time for Seth to return. He had been gone for three days now, soon his cover would be blow. Chris didn't expect a massive orange ship appear out of nowhere and nearly crush him.
"What the Hell?" Chris had seen some weird shit before and now a freakin UFO. The BSAA was going to have a cow when this got out. Chris soon saw a large orange mechanical suit come out of the space ship. He reached for his pistol and drew it.
Samus noticed that a man was aiming some sort of weapon at her. She aimed her armcannon at this man incase he opened fire. However Seth got in between the two and they both lowered their weapons.
"Seth what the fuck is going on and who is this person?" Chris said as he was so confused.
"Seth I would like an explanation on what just happened." Samus asked.
"Alright both of you, sit down, this is gonna be a long story." Seth said. Seth told Chris all about his journey in the Metroid universe. He told Samus all about the I.S. Universe and about the BSAA. During this time, Blaze had informed Seth and Samus that they were still producing Phazon, but it was at a much lower level. Instead of being 75% in was now at 2%. There was a small chance that they could be fully corrupted again, but it was very small.
"So you're telling me that the machine you use can only be usable by woman?"
"Yup."
"Great aliens and space bounty hunters. I've got a lot of work."
"Actually Chris I got a favor to ask. Could Samus be my partner in the BSAA?" Seth asked.
"Well that would be very difficult, but Blaze could fake some documents, but how is it with her."
"I would love to be your partner Seth, but I don't have an I.S. Unit." Samus knew that her power suit wouldn't pass for an I.S, but Seth had prepared for this.
"Behold the first I.S. that I made, [Varia]." Seth said as he brought out a brand new I.S. One that would shake the whole world.
