It really wasn't that deep. A month had passed and Lee had spent it getting rid of all traces of Nathan from his mind. I mean it took three outings and two blackouts but he finally did it. He was now able to order his own food again and he wasn't waiting for Nathan to show up infront of his door step again, life was as used to be. The only person bothering him was Endora and he was okay with that because he had gotten used to it since they first met five years ago. Upon their meeting when Lee was helping Endora pick a book at their local book store back at home, because he saw her looking in the expensive section and he showed her where to look for the cheaper versions of the books she wanted. After that Endora told Lee that she will be bothering him forever after that. I kid you not, the next words out of her mouth were not 'thank you.' But they were, "I will be bothering you forever..." and five years later she's still keeping her promise. Besides that Endora had good qualities, there was not one bad quality about her. She was honest, caring, empathetic and sympathetic. She was so caring that when she learned of Lee's life at home she relocated with him when Lee told her he was relocating. He knew where he was going because that was the town he last saw his first love and he hoped he would see him again. Endora just followed him without a care in the world, to tell the truth Lee didn't try to talk her out of it, he figured if she later regretted it then she would just go back home. Endora didn't have much of a family but Lee's mom really loved her and the last time they were home Endora buried her mother. She had been sick for while and Endora knew she was going to die, they never even tried hospitals, they just said she was going to die, and die she did. It startled Lee how calm Endora was through all of it, she shared tears on the day she found out and never again. Lee was waiting for the moment she would initially fall apart but she never did, and after two years of waiting he gave up. Endora usually goes home, home being Lee's house to see Lee's mom but Lee never goes. They have a really bad relationship, Lee's mom is a narcissistic and manipulative bi*ch but somehow she managed to purely love a girl named Endora. She treats her like a child she never had, and Endora wanted to play very far away from her but Lee wouldn't let her. He told Endora to indulge his mother because he would love to see how she looks when she actually loves a person. Endora is also pure towards Lee's mom but from time to time it does hurt her heart. In retrospect Lee is her brother and they are siblings which is why Endora takes care of Lee, things like cleaning up after him, cooking for him and sometimes buying clothes for him. She knows why Lee feels like these things are not important and for the rest of her life she will take care of Lee.
As for the vampire prince named Nathan spent the month after the big fight with his mate acting out of it. First he took the clothes that he wore that day and he never washed them, instead he put them in a glass frame. He framed them in their dirty glory, but before he did that he put back the buttons on his shirt back. One by one he sew them back in, he couldn't find the two buttons and where they had gone so Brian offered him some new buttons but he coldly replied 'no.' And continued to look for them. He shifted his entire room to find those buttons because it had to be the original ones. One was at the corner of the room rolled up on its side like it was intentionally trying to hide while the other looked like it wanted to roll under the closet but the walk in closet's drawers reached way down there was no way to roll under. He finally found them and the euphoria he felt could be felt by even his best friend, he sew them back in and continued to frame the shirt.
"Why didn't you at least wash them?" Brian was leaning by his door frame because he actually wanted to see the end result of this crazy road that Nathan had decided to take.
"Absolutely not!" He exclaimed making an X with his hands and there was no further explanation.
"What is it you're doing?" Brian was tired of this sh*t.
Nothing, no answer, Nathan said nothing and continued to wipe the glass frame with the cloth. It was unsightly for someone who was as neat as him, actually it was unsightly for anyone who had a brain even the ones with the lowest IQs. But to Nathan it was his heart, the day it broke into pieces. This outfit was the one he wore the last time he saw Lee, the love of his life. The stains on that outfit were put there by Lee, the first time he ever saw him that angry and that sad at the same time. He saw Lee cry for the first time and it was because of him and there was no way he was letting that memory die. He swore to himself to never make him cry ever again, or make him that sad which is why he walked away. These clothes were his punishment for that day and each time he walks into his room seeing them in the same condition and framed he will remember his crime.
"So what's up with him?" Theo suddenly propped his chin on the other side of Brian's shoulder and talked directly into his ear.
"He's gone mad." Brian answered.
Nathan sighed and finally faced them, he was wearing a sad expression, then he took a look at the clothes again and decided to tell the youngins what those clothes represented for him.
Theo raised an eyebrow at his explanation, "how romantic...." he said with a sour face. It was baffling to him how someone could punish themselves for crime they didn't commit. From his explanation he did nothing wrong yet here he was treating himself like a prisoner.
"Are you guys eating or what?" Alexi stood next to Brian with his body facing the youngins. They rolled his eyes at him, he could have just told them dinner was ready so why the f**k did he come here to give them that expressionless face. Alexi turned his face to the right and saw Nathan's masterpiece,
"just apologize to him or give me his address and I'll do it for you." Everyone was shocked. Normally Alexi isn't one to involve himself in people's business, it's not that he's cold, it's just that he cares too much and doesn't want to be taken advantage of. He doesn't make a big deal out of everything and if you ever need him there is no way he wouldn't be there for you and these three know that with all their heart. He keeps them safe, he is their advisor he just wears a cold face because of all the crap he's been through.
