Chapter 2 - The Grandma House 2

Chapter 2: The Journey Begins

(The scene opens with the family loading their luggage into their SUV. Jack is checking the GPS while Mary is making sure the kids are buckled up.)

Jack: (starts the engine) Alright, everyone. Let's get moving. We've got a long drive ahead of us.

Mary: (smiles) I'm so excited to spend Christmas at Grandma's house. It's been years since we've been there.

Lucy: (looks up from her book) I've always wanted to see Grandma's house. I've heard it's really old and spooky.

Nora: (giggles) Yeah! And Grandma's ghost is going to scare us!

Mary: (laughs) Oh, Nora. There's no such thing as ghosts, sweetie.

Jack: (smirks) Yeah, and even if there were, I'm sure Grandma's ghost would be harmless.

(As they drive, the GPS leads them down a winding road, surrounded by dense woods. The sky grows darker, and the air grows colder.)

Lucy: (looks out the window) Wow, look at that house. It's so creepy.

Mary: (follows Lucy's gaze) Oh, that's just an old abandoned house. Let's focus on getting to Grandma's house.

(As they continue driving, the woods grow denser, and the road grows narrower. Suddenly, the GPS announces their arrival.)

Jack: (looks around) This is it. We're here.

(The family looks around, taking in the sight of Grandma's old mansion. It's a grand, but eerie, sight.)

Chapter 3: Arrival at Grandma's House

(The scene opens with the family stepping out of their SUV, gazing up at Grandma's mansion in awe.)

Mary: (smiles) Wow, it's been years since we've been here. The house looks just as beautiful as I remembered.

Jack: (nods) Yeah, and just as creepy.

Lucy: (excitedly) Can we go inside? I want to see Grandma's decorations!

Nora: (jumps up and down) Yeah! And I want to see the Christmas tree!

Mary: (laughs) Okay, okay. Let's get our bags and go inside.

(As they enter the house, they're greeted by the eerie silence of the old mansion. The air is thick with dust, and cobwebs hang from the chandeliers.)

Jack: (whistles) Wow, it's been a while since anyone's been here.

Mary: (nods) Yeah, Grandma's been gone for years. I'm surprised the house is still standing.

Lucy: (looks around) It's so quiet. Where's Grandma's ghost?

Nora: (giggles) Maybe she's hiding in the attic!

(Suddenly, a loud creaking noise echoes through the hallway, making everyone jump.)

Mary: (nervously laughs) Oh, it's just the old house settling.

Jack: (smirks) Yeah, or maybe it's Grandma's ghost welcoming us.

(The family exchanges nervous glances, unsure of what's to come.)
