Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Summoning Devil (3)

"Hmm? The rings are quite good, but I'd already improved on that formula when I was studying Sacred Gear construction. I'm planning on making much greater things." I said with a shrug, glancing around and imagining how I would set up my new workshop.

I felt the devil lady stiffen for a moment.

"So it's true that the Biblical God left the method of Sacred Gear creation to Solomon?" she asked, clearly skeptical.

"Not quite. There is no true 'method' or specific blueprint. They're all artifacts that are two-dimensional." I decided to explain this to her, ensuring she was on the same wavelength as I was.

"Two-dimensional?"

"Yes. A human is a three-dimensional being, made up of the physical body, soul, and essence or spirit energy. Sacred Gears, upon creation, are transformed into spiritual items and then attached to one's soul. They are detached after the host's death. There are ways to make the gear physical, but two-dimensionality is much safer, as one can't truly touch it without some form of training." I explained as simply as I could.

Big G has a system or foundation for how his Sacred Gears were made physical and spiritual, but that system has long been fractured, especially by the Fallen, who are trying to unravel the mysteries behind his creations.

It's like a firewall for one's OS... Now that brings back some memories…

"I see… I'm sure the Fallen would love to know where you live," the brown-haired devil lady said with a forced smile.

Sorry, Venelana, but after spending that much time around you, I've already figured out some of your personality. She tends to joke around when she's nervous, especially when it involves me. It seems she's terrified of what might happen to her Devil race.

Hmm, should I tell her that they don't need to fear me if they aren't naughty?

Well, I doubt it, since I've already kidnapped one of them to be my familiar…

So, she's probably afraid I won't hold back because I consider them evil…

"Maybe? By the time we're done here, Venelana, I doubt many will be able to just walk into my garage." I said with a smirk, thinking about the additions I would make to my 'garage.'

"You're still going to call this a… garage?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"A garage is a man's fortress..." I said sagely, still reminiscing about my past-life garage—five stories underground, housing more than 50 super and mega cars, some of which I had even created.

I never bothered with lethal security, though—I had some of the best general security in the world.

"But… you're not even a man," the Bael devil said with an eye roll.

"... Are you talking physically or mentally?" I asked, crossing my arms.

She raised both hands in defeat, not wanting to go down that road.

"You forget that I'm almost 13. My point is, a man naturally wants his own special place—especially me, since all I want is to tinker with stuff in peace."

"Very well, if that's what you want. Not that I could say no to you," my devil familiar sighed. I could tell she didn't fully understand. Well, she's female…

"Good. Now we need to adjust the main workshop's location… it needs to be just below that parkway. That way, once a car is finished, the section can lower itself, and the car can drive out." I said, recalling my villa in Germany, where I used to test my cars on their highways.

Sigh

"As you wish..." The brown-haired devil lady sighed again, continuing her work on expanding my garage.

A Few Days Later

At this point, Venelana had become a builder, a teacher, a psychologist—basically, someone who listens to people's stories for a living.

And then the reverse happened when she ended up being taught by a 12-year-old (almost 13) about magic of all things, something she still couldn't wrap her head around!

Nonetheless, she found this time in her life quite fascinating…

But then… it happened.

Her husband made a rather… arbitrary decision to engage their infant daughter to the youngest Phenex.

It was so random that even Venelana was left speechless. And her baby daughter Rias? She went hysterical at the thought that the decision had been taken out of her hands…

"Master… please… I need to return home… Can I take a week off?" The Bael Devil pleaded with her master, who had finally moved into his new garage.

"Hmm? Sure. I don't need you right now." He motioned for her to leave.

Marcus had drawn several white circles and laid out some plain-looking clay next to them.

The very same material he would use to craft his artifacts. The Bael assumed her master was already formulating plans to create some of the crazy artifacts he'd mentioned earlier.

Not that Venelana could remember much of it—she was still in shock that her master knew how to make Sacred Gears, and she couldn't tell anyone or even write it down! Her mind simply couldn't function that way when she wasn't around him.

It was as though her thought process had already been influenced by Ars Goetia.

And that was terrifying.

For now, though, she decided to stop thinking about it and focus on her baby girl, who had just learned the harsh truth about being the Heiress of a Pillar House.

A Few Days Later

While Venelana had done her job perfectly, she used her magic a bit too… loosely. The moment I dispersed and collected it, the entire underground garage turned dark.

That meant I needed light. Then, I realized I needed water as well, since I wasn't planning on going to the surface just to wash my hands or take a leak.

So, first—light. Extremely simple, especially with magic. I had it done in just a few days.

I could have gone with a simple runic cluster to illuminate the room, but instead, I opted for a perfectly sealed glass container that emitted pure LED light.

No magic was used after alchemy, and the electricity flowed through the wires to power the ceiling.

And the energy source? The magic generators were ridiculously easy to make in this lax world.

If the devils, or any race, knew of this simple concept, they could easily control the world's energy issues—and monopolize energy.

Oh well… anyway, after creating a simple air-to-magic, magic-to-energy reactor, I had the light issue solved and enough power to run my garage and a few PCs.

But then… a more difficult problem arose—plumbing.

Sigh

"I should have learned that Devil magic trick before sending Venelana away," I muttered, crossing my arms.

I thought for a moment, searching for a solution to this problem…

Oh well…

"I suppose I should just summon someone who knows water better than anyone else." I recalled what my devil familiar had told me about devils…

One specific pillar came to mind.

"Serafall it is, then... A Satan who will also serve me as muscle if needed. She's one of the strongest beings the devils can offer and is knowledgeable about water and ice..." With that plan in mind, I made my way to the room that would serve as the summoning station.

Moments later, I began drawing another Ars Goetia summoning circle.
