Chapter 1 - Transmigrated as Muzan Kibutsuji

Ethan Brook sat alone in his dimly lit apartment, the flickering glow of the TV reflecting off empty coffee cups and scattered work papers. The muffled sound of his favorite video game filled the room, a hollow comfort against the quiet monotony of his life. A half-eaten takeout box lay forgotten on the coffee table, much like Ethan's aspirations for something greater.

Groggily he muttered to himself, "Just one more round… then I'll call it a night." His words felt as hollow as the life he lived a cycle of work, eat and escape into digital fantasies.

As exhaustion from his 9-to-5 job finally caught up with him Ethan's eyelids grew heavy. The controller slipped from his hands, and he stretched out on the couch. What he thought would be a quick nap dragged him into a dreamless void.

Ethan floated in a surreal abyss, surrounded by fragments of his memories. His mind replayed every pivotal moment, each success overshadowed by an ever-present sense of inadequacy.

"All my life, I've been mediocre," Ethan's voice echoed in the void. "I didn't want to stay that way. I started hitting the gym at 14,studying harder

sacrificing the things I loved to improve myself. No more snacks no more wasted hours on the internet."

The memories shifted revealing a younger Ethan micromanaging every detail of his life. "I wanted perfection,i

wanted control. But the more I chased it the more terrifying it became to face things I couldn't control. I kept giving up pieces of myself making sacrifices all to avoid the fear of uncertainty."

The abyss around him darkened, mirroring his despair. "Now I'm 27 i have worked my way to a successful career.I make good money,i own a house and i can eat luxurious food. But i've got no friends to call no family to turn to. All my hard work paid off but what did I gain? A hollow life."

Ethan's voice cracked as he continued, "Every day i wear a smile to fool the world but inside i'm dying. I sacrificed my happiness to become someone society would admire but I've only ended up envying others. Why is that rich kid's life so effortless? Why do some people have beauty, intelligence

or wealth handed to them while I've had to bleed for every scrap?"

His frustration boiled over his voice trembling with resentment. "Gaming was my only escape. For a few hours,i could forget the bitterness and jealousy eating away at me. But even that wasn't enough. It's like the universe never stopped taking from me."

The fragments of his memories dissolved leaving Ethan adrift in an endless void. He curled into himself

trembling as tears streamed down his face. "Now what?My life… everything I worked for… it's all gone. Stripped away and thrown into the unknown. What am I now?Nothing but a shattered remnant of who I used to be."

A deep ache resonated within him

something instinctual yet

unexplainable."I'm dead,i know it without question." he thought, his voice breaking in his mind. "But it's more than that...It feels like i've lost something vital something so close to my essence that i can't even define it."

Surrounded by the suffocating embrace of pure darkness Ethan felt the weight of his existence or what was left of it pressing down on him. "Who am I now?"

Suddenly a blinding light pierced the darkness jolting Ethan awake. He gasped for air, his body trembling. The damp scent of earth filled his nostrils

and the sounds of distant animal cries surrounded him sending shivers down his spine. The comforting hum of his apartment was gone, instead he was now in a dense shadowy forest.

"W-what the hell?! Where am I?! he cried stumbling to his feet. Panic gripped him as his eyes darted around. The towering trees loomed overhead, their twisted branches clawing at the sky. His heart raced this wasn't a dream

it was too vivid.

He stumbles to his feet, his head spinning. His eyes looking around for answers suddenly he spots a puddle nearby Ethan rushes over desperate for answers. But what he saw in his reflection stole the breath from his lungs. A pale face stared back at him

framed by jet-black hair and piercing blood-red eyes. His body bore scars, jagged and raw and still leaking a bit of blood from time to time, as if inflicted in a brutal battle.

"This isn't me…" Ethan whispered his voice quivering. He leaned closer to the puddle his mind racing. "I've seen this face before… but where?"

Suddenly memories not of his own surged forward overwhelming his senses.Images of battles, blood soaked fields and a relentless swordsman wielding a Nichirin Blade flashed before his eyes. A name surfaced from the chaos chilling him to his core.

"Muzan Kibutsuji," Ethan muttered realization dawning. "I've become him the Demon King from the Demon Slayer Anime."

Ethan collapsed to the ground

clutching his head. The memories of Muzan's life flooded his mind, the epic battle with Yoriichi Tsugikuni, the fear of sunlight and wisteria and the haunting weight of countless lives taken. His breathing grew ragged as he processed the horrific truth.

Panicking Ethan says: "Why do I look like this? What's going on?! I was just playing some games! This has to be a dream… right?"

He clenches his fists trying to shake off the rising panic. But the more he looks around, the more real everything feels,

the damp air on his skin, the crunch of leaves beneath his feet and the faint metallic scent lingering in the air. A sudden overwhelming hunger grips him

clawing at his insides like a wild animal.

While weakly trembling Ethan says:

"This… this can't be real. This... This hunger it's unbearable."

Ethan collapses to the ground, his vision fading as darkness envelops him while at the same time the

overwhelming hunger claws at his insides.

As his consciousness slips away vivid images invade his mind fragmented memories not his own. A whirlwind of emotions and visions consumes him

unraveling the history of Muzan Kibutsuji the Demon King whose body he now inhabits.

The epic battle between Yoriichi Tsugikun and Muzan Kibutsuji is a defining moment in Demon Slayer. Yoriichi the inventor of Sun Breathing and the most powerful Demon Slayer

encountered Muzan the progenitor of all demons in a fateful clash during the Sengoku era.

Where Yoriichi discovered Muzan's unique physiology through the Transparent World, realizing that Muzan had seven hearts and five brains which constantly shifted within his body. Yoriichi combined all the Sun Breathing forms into one overwhelming strike targeting all of Muzan's vital organs. Despite fatally wounding Muzan

the demon kings extraordinary regenerative abilities allowed him to divide his body into 1,800 pieces. Even though Yoriichi managed to destroy most of these fragments the remaining ones escaped and allowed Muzan to fully regenerate later. This failure haunted Yoriichi as he believed he missed the chance to eradicate all demons forever.

Muzan's powers are immense making him one of the most formidable antagonists in the series. His Blood demon art enables him to manipulate his flesh and blood offensively and turn humans into demons under his control. His regeneration, strength and unique abilities make him almost invincible but he however harbors a deep fear of Yoriichi whom he considers a true threat to his survival.

The Demon Slayer Corps which Yoriichi was once a part of before his exile for his failure to kill the Muzan operates as a secretive organization dedicated to eradicating demons. Members train extensively in Breathing Styles

techniques derived from Yoriichi's Sun Breathing to enhance their physical abilities and wield Nichirin Blades capable of killing demons. Hashira the elite of the Corps lead the fight against demons and are crucial in battles against strong demons like Muzan.

Suddenly Ethan jolts awake, gasping for air as his body trembles, the remnants of the memories still vivid in his mind.

Ethan thinking inwardly: "That… that wasn't a dream. It was too real. Those memories, they were Muzan's. His fear of Yoriichi, his battle… everything."

The world feels different to him now,his breathing is shallow and uneven, his body is heavy and his senses are sharper. But something is terribly wrong. His eyes suddenly dart downwards to find himself holding a body a half-eaten human corpse. Blood covers his hands and clothes, the sight leaving him paralyzed.

Horrified by the sight Ethan said out loud: "W-what… what the hell is this?!"

Ethan scrambles backward, dropping the body as if it's on fire. His hands tremble violently as he stares at the crimson blood covering them. His stomach churns and his mind spirals into chaos trying to make sense of what is going on as his mind races as he tries to process the scene.

He glances at the blood on his hands and then back at the corpse.

Ethan: "I… I just ate a human being. Oh my god… I actually ate someone. This can't be real. This has to be a dream. Please let this be a dream."

He falls to his knees his breathing uneven. His mind feels like it's short

circuiting under the weight of the situation.

Doubling over he retches.but nothing comes out. Every nerve in his body screams that this is no dream. Tears stream down his face as he clutches his head.

Ethan says disturbingly: "The smell of blood… the metallic taste in my mouth… the pounding headache… everything feels so real. This is all feels so wrong!"

He grips his head, his voice trembling.

Ethan cries out loud: "This… this is insane i know I'm not a saint everyone has dark thought's but this? This is too much maybe I don't know myself as well as I thought… Maybe deep down I'm some kind of monster. Otherwise why would I dream of this or am i not dreaming?"

He looks down at the corpse again tears going downwards from his eyes as he clutches his head trying to make sense of the nightmare he's trapped in.

Ethan: "No, no, no. This isn't happening. I didn't… I couldn't have done this. Please god let this be a dream!"

Ethan: "Brutally killing and eating someone… this isn't just some nightmare. There's too much detail, too much information flooding my head."

He steadies himself trying to take some deep breaths, his expression darkening as a realization clicks.

Ethan: "Let's just say that In this dream i've transmigrated into Muzan's body. And based on the memories I just saw… this must've happened after his fight with Yoriichi. That explains the exhaustion, the injuries, and why I'm out here. Muzan got wrecked and barely escaped alive. Hours must've passed since then."

He forces himself to his feet, his legs shaky but functional. He takes a deep breath again, trying to steady his racing heart.

Ethan:"Alright think Ethan. Panicking won't help we need to be in control of the situation. If this is real and god i

hope it's not i would need to figure out what's going on. If I'm stuck as Muzan

then I've inherited all his enemies, his weaknesses and his sins. I can't afford to make a single mistake."

He scans his surroundings the eerie forest stretching endlessly in every direction. The rustling leaves and distant growls remind him that he's not alone. This thought sends a chill down his spine.

Ethan:"I need to lay low to gather

information and while i am doing that i should also firstly prioritize figuring out ways on how to survive in this new world.

"Secondly i will need to understand this body's abilities and limitations and eventually i'll have to surpass Muzan's inherent weaknesses to sunlight and wisteria poison if i want to survive.

If I can evolve beyond them maybe then i will have silver of security in this maddening reality that i find myself in."

"Thirdly i should use my identity as the demon king to scout for unknown dangers that were not shown in the anime while at the time achieving my goals."

"Sigh I really have no control of the situation that i am placed in,i can only plan so much so until i can create a concrete plan,i should just roleplay as the demon king how hard can that be."

I wiped my bloodied hands on my clothes, my expression hardening. Despite the terror gnawing at me, a flicker of determination sparks in my eyes.

Ethan: "On another note If I'm really Muzan now… then I'll have to use his power to survive. But I won't become a weakling like him lashing out to his sabordinates for his own incompetence if i will roplay as the demon king i will be the best demon king that i can be.

I say this while clenching my fist tightly.

Remaining as weak as Muzan is unacceptable. My ultimate goal should be to achieve a level of strength so absolute that i can become invisible to this world untouchable by its forces. I should aim to grow so powerful that even if an enemy like Yoriichi were to strike me continuously for three days and three nights,i would emerge completely unscathed.

Narrator:

Little did Ethan realize, the remnants of Muzan's final desires had imprinted themselves deeply onto his subconscious. This latent influence worked insidiously reshaping his psyche and accelerating the transformation of his personality in ways he couldn't yet comprehend.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

As Ethan is seen stumbling through the forest his senses heightened. Every sound, every movement feels amplified keeping him on edge. He experiments with his newfound abilities while discovering the raw power coursing through his veins.

Ethan: "This strength… this speed… it's insane. No wonder Muzan was so feared. But I need to keep my focus, prideful arrogance will only get me killed."

As night falls Ethan finds a clearing to sit and reflect the weight of his new reality bearing down on him.

Ethan thought's: "Though i understand the path i must take to achieve my goals. The weight of the atrocities i will commit may haunt me,filling my mind with guilt and dread each passing day.

But so what? If i must commit these acts to survive then so be it. If I don't consume humans than i will starve and perish. If i don't kill those who seek my end like the Demon Slayers i will surely die. Survival demands sacrifice no matter how monstrous.

A wise person once said: "To be a demon is to be merciless and cruel, a murderer and destroyer. There is no place in heaven or earth for such a thing turning into an enemy of the world while having to face all kind of consequences."

Across all worlds this one and my previous the same principle reigns supreme the law of the jungle. The strong consume the weak it's a choice between kill or be killed, eat or be eaten.

Just as humans slaughter chickens for their survival, demons consume humans for theirs. Do humans ask animals for permission to kill and eat them? Of course not. Similarly demons don't seek consent they act out of necessity.

When viewed from this perspective humans and demons are not so different. Their ultimate goal is survival; the only difference lies in the prey each chooses to sacrifice.

Life and death is nature's law. All living beings are equal and everyone has their right to survive and be killed. There might be royalty and lower beings but in face of death a person's death is no different from a pig's what's the difference? They're both dead.

Ethan: "On another notes i've read stories about transmigration but it's always into either heroes or underdogs. Did my warped thoughts make me transmigrate into Muzan Kibutsuji?

Is this some twisted reflection of my mind that i am a man eating monster?"

He paused, the thought gnawing at him. "Maybe I am a monster... but that's a question for another day. Right now i

need to focus."

As night enveloped the forest, the air grew colder and the shadows stretched longer. Ethan found a small clearing, settling into its silence, his mind a storm of plans and questions.

Ethan: "Enough philosophical questions firstly I need to figure out where I am in this universes timeline. If this Is after Yoriichi's fight then the original Muzan is most likely in hiding somewhere safe that might buy me some time.

Second I need to experiment with my powers and unite the demons Muzan that the original Muzan created and left them to do their own bidding. If I'm truly taking over his life i will have to do it right."

He glanced at the stars above, their distant light mirroring his steely resolve.

Ethan's Thoughts:"I don't know how or why i'm here but one thing's certain Muzan's legacy won't go to waste. If rewriting his story is what it takes then so be it."

As the forest held its breath Ethan's thoughts turned darker. "If i'm Muzan now does that mean i'm destined to repeat his mistakes? To strive for greatness only to fall short because of incompetence?" His fists clenched nails digging into his palms as his blood-red eyes burned with defiance.

"No," he hissed. "I won't be a puppet of fate."

The stars seemed to shine brighter, as though bearing witness to his vow.

"I will rewrite Muzan's story no more mistakes,no more wasted potential and no more plot armor protecting the protagonists. I'll become the Greatest Demon King this world has ever seen."

The weight of his new reality settled on him like a cloak heavy yet empowering. Whether this was a curse or an opportunity Ethan knew one thing he wouldn't back down. Taking a step forward into the unknown he whispered to himself, "If I've already lost everything what's left to fear?"
