[Welcome to the world of Valorie]
[Would you like to check your aspect? Before you are transported]
There was this blue screen that looked like a television screen. There were buttons above and below the screen. On top, there were several options such as; video chat, text message, and call. Below that was an option that said 'check aspects.'
Everything other than "Check Aspects" was "Locked" so he clicked on that button.
As he clicked on it what was shown was a window with various types of information.

Attributes: [Fated], [Mark Of Divinity], [Child Of Despair], [Child Of ???], [Curse Of Torment]
Aspect: [Apprentice Knight].
Aspect Description: [Squire is a useless knight apprentice that isn't recognized as an official Apprentice as they lack skill and experience. A squire's main job is to protect its master, an Apprentice Knight is rarer and harder to find than a Squire. Apprentices have experience but have not received formal training, they can still use their skills but they may make mistakes due to inexperience. They also tend to be reckless and rash in battle. Their swordsmanship lacks finesse and often relies on brute strength rather than technique].
Hey, what's with the Attribute [Curse of Torment] I've never even heard of curses that can be an Attribute before.
"so am I going to be transported into someone that uses a sword?… There's no way that an Apprentice Knight would use a bow Right?"
[You will be transported to your designated Aspect in 10 seconds from now].
[9 seconds left…]
A blue TV-like screen appeared in front of him, it showed a small green light in the middle of the screen. After 5 seconds the screen disappeared and he was teleported somewhere else.
Lucian looked around and saw that he was standing in a dark forest. In front of him stood a young woman with brown hair tied up in a ponytail and she wore a black shirt and pants along with a pair of boots. She had large eyes with sharp-looking pupils and her skin tone was light tan. Her lips were full and slightly pink, and her nose was pointed and straight.
She didn't look much older than 20 years old, but she had a stern expression on her face.
"Apprentice Vizel" this woman called out well towards Lucian.
"Hurry up we don't have time for this," she said well grabbing Lucian and grabbing his hand leading Lucian to his post.
I guess I'm Vizel? As I was transported into his body for the "Test"?
Vizels job was to defend the knight.
He needed to be able to fight against the enemy without hesitation and without thinking. His job was to kill the enemies before they attacked the knight. That was why his job description was basically a soldier.
[Task ???]
[Reward ….]
"Don't worry about it, just go with the flow" the woman said as she walked away leaving Lucian behind confused.
"Wait! Wait! What should I do next!?"
"What do you mean?… You're supposed to stay at your post and watch for any monsters humans or any abnormalities that you see and relay it to the team. Don't move until the sun is up then go to the barracks Do you understand!?"
The woman shouted angrily at Lucian, who ran after her trying to figure out what to do next.
The place Lucian was posted at was a humungous wall made out of stone.
There were two doors, one on the side and one on top of the wall facing the entrance of the dungeon. The walls were covered in runes that glowed purple and a symbol that resembled a sunburst hung above them. On the ground, there were several torches and a pile of wood stacked near the door on the outside.
On the other side of the wall, there was a group of soldiers who were talking among themselves and discussing something. Where Lucian was was on top of the wall where there was a small wooden hut that looked like it might fall off anytime soon. There were also several boxes filled with supplies and food sitting around the area.
At the far end of the wall, there was a big gate that was guarded by 3 men.
One guard stood at the entrance of the gates, one stood in the middle guarding the center of the wall and the last was stationed on the roof overlooking the whole scene.
Okay so I was transported into a soldier who is a knight's apprentice who is on lookout duty
What's not able is that instead of being 10 I was now inhabiting a body that looked to be 20 years old.
Lucian now looked like a guy who was in his mid-twenties With short brown hair, blue eyes, pale skin and a thin build.
His clothes consisted of leather armour, a sword hanging from his waist and a dagger strapped to his thigh.
The sword that Lucian now had was a medieval double-handed Great-sword with a length of 2 meters and weighing 50 kilograms. The blade was made of steel and it seemed to glow faintly.
The dagger that Lucian had was a curved knife with a sharp point. The handle was wrapped in green cloth.

Ugh, I was forced to stay up at Night with no rest it's now time for me to switch with a different guard. Lucian thought while trying to find his way to the central command building there were a lot of unnecessary buildings near the wall.
Suddenly, the sound of footsteps approached him.
"Halt!"
A soldier stopped Lucian who was walking towards the center of the wall.
"Who goes there!?" the soldier asked looking suspiciously at Lucian.
"I am Vizel, I'm the Apprentice Knight that was on knight duty Lucian answered nervously.
"An apprentice? But you look older than that."
"Well, sir, I guess I haven't gotten much rest since I've been assigned here."
"Well, I was just going to the walls to let everyone know that we will be going to the frontlines as soon as we get more reinforcements. Are you ready?" the soldier asked.
"Yes, I'll be heading out shortly."
"All right then, go ahead."
The soldier opened the gate for Lucian. As he passed through the opening, the gate slammed shut behind him.
"Wow! That thing can close fast." Lucian thought.
He walked down the path leading to the main hall where the commander and others were waiting.
As he entered the building, he saw a large table full of maps and plans laid out on it along with a huge map of the entire kingdom of Eu. On one corner of the map, several dots were indicating the location of the Main Units.
Next to the map was a table covered in papers and books. In one of the corners of the room, a few people were standing around talking.
"Vizel, come in here quickly. We need your opinion on something." Commander Mardock said as he looked up.
"Sir, what is it?"
"Have you seen this report?"
"No Sir."
"That means someone has stolen our reports and changed them. What do you think we should do?"
"Hmm, well I believe whoever did this wanted us to see something specific."
"Oh yeah? Like what?"
"Maybe they want us to focus our attention on a certain area..."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, it seems obvious to me."
Commander Mardock nodded and wrote something down. Then he stood up and addressed all of his subordinates.
"Everyone gather 'round, we're gonna talk strategy. Everyone needs to hear this."
All of the soldiers gathered around the table. They listened intently to everything the commander had to say. After a moment, the commander continued.
"Our scouts reported that there is a small army approaching from the north."
"How many troops?"
"At least a thousand."
"Damn! A whole battalion coming to attack us?!"
"Calm down. We still have plenty of time. There is nothing to worry about yet. Now, I'd like all of you to take notes on this meeting. Write down whatever comes to mind and discuss it later. Got that?"
"Y-yes sir!"
Lucian took out his pen and started writing.

"Hey, do you know where the barracks are" Lucian asked one of the men in uniform.
"Right this way," replied the soldier as he pointed towards a door.
"Thanks!" Lucian said happily as he followed after the man.
They reached a wooden house with a signboard hanging outside saying "Barracks". Inside it was dimly lit. It seemed pretty empty except for a desk in the middle of the room. Next to the desk was a bed and a chest of drawers.
"Here you go."
"Thank you," Lucian said gratefully as the man handed him a key.
"Anytime, kid. Just remember to keep your head low. Don't make enemies here, okay?"
"Okay," Lucian said nodding.
With that, the man left.
The barracks were just filled with beds with no privacy whatsoever. Not even curtains on the windows.
'I guess that's how it goes living as a soldier'
Well, at least the food isn't bad.
I've already eaten dinner so now I'll just rest until tomorrow morning.
Lucian lay down on his bed, closed his eyes, and relaxed. Soon he drifted off to sleep.

" Wake up!" A soldier slapped Lucian's face repeatedly, slowly pulling Lucian out of his dreams.
Lucian opened his eyes groggily and saw a soldier standing next to his bed staring angrily at him.
"What's wrong?" Lucian asked confused.
"Get up, we're leaving soon. Hurry up!"
"Why am I waking up early?"
"We're being sent out to the front lines where we can fight."
"Really? What's happening?"
"A large number of enemy forces has arrived at the northern gate."
"Where exactly is the Northern Gate?"
"About 20 minutes away from here."
"Wow, really?" Lucian exclaimed.
He jumped out of bed and ran to the washroom quickly changed into his gear and headed straight out of the barracks. As he exited the building, he noticed a lot more soldiers than usual waiting outside. All of them were looking forward.
Suddenly, they began marching toward the North Gate. Everyone moved together, following their leader.
Soon they reached the gates. Soldiers stood guard on either side of the entrance. Their faces were grim and serious.
The commander stopped in front of the guards and saluted. Then, he walked past the two soldiers without even acknowledging their presence and entered the fortification.
Once inside the fortress, he shouted to everyone.
"Alright troops let's move!"
Soldiers began moving swiftly through the corridors heading directly to their designated locations.
"Vizel, come with me," said one of the soldiers.
Lucian nodded and followed behind the soldier. They made their way deeper into the fortification. After passing several checkpoints, they finally reached their destination.
Inside a small room was a table surrounded by four chairs. On the wall hung a map with various places marked on it.
Two men stood near the table talking intently. One was tall with short blond hair, dressed in armour. The other man was shorter with brownish-blond hair and wore casual clothing. Both men had swords hanging from their hips.

"Sir, it seems the enemy forces have attacked the city of Bergen."
Both men turned to look at the soldier.
"How many casualties?" asked the taller man.
"Approximately 10 percent of the population."
"That's quite high." replied the shorter man.
"Yes sir, but we still have a full army stationed in Bergen."
"Good work."
"Thank you, sir."
The soldier bowed low before returning to his post. Once he finished his report, both men turned back to the table and continued speaking among themselves.
"Any word yet on the recruits?" asked the taller man.
"No sir, we haven't received any information since yesterday afternoon."
"Hmm..."
The smaller man sighed deeply.
"Maybe it isn't such a good idea after all," he muttered.
The taller man seemed irritated.
"What do you mean?"
"Well...we've already wasted a whole week trying to find replacements for the dead. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to stop now. There's nothing else we can do until the reinforcements arrive anyway, right?"
The shorter man shook his head.
"Don't say that, we cannot afford to lose manpower. Especially considering what's coming next. We need every soldier available to defend the country from the onslaught of demons that are soon to come."
"We should send someone to investigate the situation in Bergen," suggested the shorter man. "If the city has fallen, then the rest of the kingdom will fall too.
Let's send Vizel with a squad of ten elite warriors. That should be sufficient enough to deal with the problem."
The larger man nodded.
"All right, we will go ahead with your plan. Send a messenger with orders for Vizel immediately."

One of the soldiers approached the two.
"Vizel you and 10 Elite soldiers will be sent to Bergen to investigate the situation and report back." The Commander explained.
"Understood sir," Lucian replied respectfully.
Im so Fucked what are they expecting me to do… I'm at most a low-level soldier a cannon fodder at best Lucian thought.
He looked at his fellow soldiers who also seemed to be nervous.
"Are you ready to leave?"
They all responded affirmatively.
"Good luck, you all better return victorious or else heads will roll."
These soldiers better be extremely skilled or they are just sending us to our deaths did this video piss off one of the higher-ups I don't see any other way… as this seems like a Death Trap Lucian thought as he followed his commander through the gate of the castle.
"Grab a horse from the stables and go to Bergen following this trail the rest of the group is waiting for you there. Good Luck!" The Commander shouted as he walked away leaving them behind.
Lucian took a deep breath and started walking toward the stables with his group the group consisted of himself, seven other soldiers and five horses.
"5 horses for the 8 of us?" One of the soldiers said aloud he looked to be the only one concerned.
"Well, let's hope these animals are trained well. They look pretty rough to me, especially compared to ours." One of the other soldiers said looking at the horses in disgust.
"It doesn't matter, before we go I would like your previous leader's name it will make giving commands easier for me," Lucian said well looking at the group.
"I am Hank I was the Previous leader of this group, Hank looked like a veteran warrior with a scarred face and short brown hair. With a chiselled body and muscular arms. His eyes were cold and calculating as if he had seen more than anyone ever wanted to see.
"Alright Let's Head out"
