Instantly, a flow of information bombarded his mind. The world he found himself in was [New Earth], a version of earth that experienced an event known as the [Unification].
The [Unification] in 1934 brought Mana, monsters, towers, dungeons, and other worlds into earth's plain and caused great destruction to the original earth. But the will of humankind was strong, and the surviving humans became awakeners, gaining classes and powers beyond belief.
This caused a new age of superpowers, awakeners, classes and advanced technology, the monster parts, mana crystals, gods, and constellations breaking all limits and pushing the world forward.
Soon, [New Earth] formed and society evolved further, and a hundred later everything had settled.
Lin Jie found himself in 2034, as the son of a renowned hunter who gave his arms to kill a god-rank monster, and a saintess that gave her power to push away a world-ending calamity. A well-respected couple of retired heroes, Nora and Damian Drake.
The body he was in was identical in looks to his other one, but he was now Johnathan Drake, a 17 year old highschool student who failed to awaken three times.
And he had one last chance to awaken, the day Lin Jie arrived in his body.
"Oh…"
Looking down, Lin Jie found a rather depressing scene. His wrists dripping with blood, the bed sheets turned crimson and a dagger on the ground in a pool of red.
Nothing was sadder than societal pressure ruining a youth and pushing him to take his own beautiful life. Failing the awakening three times over made John feel like he was a useless failure.
Lin Jie felt a lump in his throat as he cleaned up the room, he inherited a will wheither he liked it or not. The fear, regret and memories that flowed through John's mind as he died repeated in Lin Jie's endlessly.
The fear was truly painful. He was too young…his bullies have to pay.. Lin Jie was filled with rage.

After cleaning himself and his room up, he put on some new clothes and got ready for school.
Walking down the stairs, he heard his parents laughing and moving across the wooden floor.
When he finally saw them, his body instinctively shed tears. The Black Dragon, Damian Drake was tall and muscular with jet black hair peppered with some gray hairs and a big beard, his arms were gone but his smile's brightness was unaffected.
He moved smoothly, with conjured arms of Mana that he used to hold his wife Nora as they danced around. Nora was a beautiful older woman, her blonde hair mostly gray and her face slightly worn.
Lin Jie felt a great respect for them, their worn appearances unnatural for a couple in their mid-thirties showed just how much they had given for humanity.
The song was recognizable to Lin Jie as well, an old melody used in Waltz.
"You're more beautiful everytime I see you, my love,"
"You're not too bad yourself,"
They teased each other as love filled the room. Lin Jie snuck down and tapped the coffee robot to make him an instant cup and he just watched them dance. He truly felt like he was their son and they were his parents, the fusion of souls was completely unlike what he experienced transmigrating in the [Immortal Hell].
"What do you think, son? We've made some progress with Waltz."
"You're getting better at it, at least you're not fallin over anymore," Lin Jie gave them a big thumbs up.
His father looked at his wrist for a bit, his expression shifting for an instant, and then back.
"Your mother's taught me well," He smiled.
"Your father's not very flexible, but he'll be stage ready in a few years," Nora laughed.

They chatted for a while until the bus arrived outside.
*BEEP BEEP BEEP!*
The bus arrived outside as Lin Jie finished his coffee.
"Have fun, son,"
"Have a good time, and no more fighting, my baby," Nora reminded.
"Let him have son, fighting is integral for a young man.."
They argued as Lin Jie got on the bus.
They didn't know that John wasn't fighting but instead being bullied on a daily basis. As the only unawakened at an Awakener's high school, only his parents' status was keeping him.
The students picked on him on a daily, and forced him to do their chores, and buy them food, while on the surface they appeared to be his friends. The teachers couldn't interfere due to the high-status and talents of the involved students, which turned his life into a living hell.
Of course, none of these things mattered to Lin Jie, he only had one thing on his mind, revenge.

He sat on his own in the back to avoid the other students, but he still avoided speaking outloud, so he doesn't not look weird.

[In [New Earth] all superpowers come from within the inexhaustable soul, making them an unlimited source of power. Each awakened has a power of a set level, ranked from E-rank up to X-rank. Powers can take on any form but the rank cannot rise or fall.]
[There are methods to use the power to train the user's own body and to gain new abilities but all awakener ranks are set at the awakening.]
So, it's all upto lady luck as to wheither you're strong or not?
