Chapter 11 - Life Saving

As Lin Yun cycled home, the setting sun painted the sky in hues of orange and purple. The cool evening breeze caressed his face, carrying the scent of blooming jasmine.

He arrived home to find his parents waiting for him, their faces etched with concern.

"Yun'er, where have you been?" Wang Chulan asked, her voice laced with worry. "We were so worried about you."

Lin Yun smiled reassuringly. "I'm sorry, Mom. I was helping some classmates with their studies. I lost track of time."

Lin Canghai nodded understandingly. "That's very kind of you, son. But next time, let us know where you are. We don't want you getting into any trouble."

Lin Yun nodded. "I will, Dad."

He sat down at the dinner table, his stomach growling with hunger. His mother had prepared a feast of his favorite dishes, a testament to her love and concern.

As they ate, Lin Yun shared his experience tutoring his classmates. He spoke of their struggles and their triumphs, their doubts and their newfound confidence.

His parents listened attentively, their hearts swelling with pride. They were proud of their son's compassion and his willingness to help others.

After dinner, Lin Yun retreated to his room, eager to continue his studies in the DDL space. He lay down on his bed, closing his eyes and summoning the system interface.

[Commencing Deep Dive Learning sequence.]

Lin Yun's consciousness drifted away, transported once again to the vast, empty space. Luna, his AI guide, greeted him with a warm smile.

"Welcome back, Master," she said. "What would you like to learn today?"

"How can I get Technology Points, Luna?" Lin Yun asked.

Luna's smile broadened, "The acquisition of Technology Points is fundamental to your journey within the Deep Dive Learning Space. There are primarily two avenues through which you can accumulate these valuable points."

She paused, her eyes twinkling with a hint of intrigue, "Firstly, Master, you can earn Technology Points by creating new technologies that do not yet exist in this world. This could be anything from innovative software programs to groundbreaking hardware inventions. The more significant the technological advancement, the greater the reward in Technology Points."

Lin Yun nodded slowly. This was within his expectations from the beginning. He was wondering where he got 34 TPs from.

Luna continued, "Secondly, Master, you can also earn Technology Points by sharing your knowledge and technology with others. The more people who benefit from your creations, the more points you will accrue. This encourages you to not only innovate but also to disseminate your knowledge, fostering progress and development in this world."

"I see," Lin Yun nodded thoughtfully. He understood the wisdom behind this system. It wasn't just about personal gain; it was about contributing to the advancement of society as a whole.

"So, the more people who use my technology, the more points I'll earn?" he clarified.

"Precisely, Master," Luna confirmed. "The system recognizes the impact your creations have on the world. The wider the adoption, the greater the reward."

"I see. This is incredible. The potential is limitless," Lin Yun said gently.

Luna nodded. "Indeed, Master. The Deep Dive Learning Space is a tool of immense power. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Use your knowledge wisely, and strive to make a positive impact on the world."

"I understand, Luna," Lin Yun nodded slightly. "Can I ask you a question? Where did you come from? And why did you choose me?"

Luna's ethereal features softened, a hint of wistfulness clouding her eyes as she gazed into the distance. "My origins, Master, lie in a world far beyond your current comprehension. A world where technology has advanced to unimaginable heights, where the boundaries between the physical and the digital have blurred, and where the pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds."

She paused, her gaze returning to Lin Yun, a gentle warmth radiating from her presence. "In this world, I was created, an artificial intelligence designed to explore the vast expanse of the cosmos, seeking out other sentient beings and fostering the exchange of knowledge and understanding."

A sense of awe washed over Lin Yun. He had always been fascinated by the mysteries of the universe, and the thought of a world where such advanced technology existed ignited a spark of excitement within him.

"But how did you end up here?" he inquired, his curiosity piqued.

Luna's expression turned somber. "My journey was not without its perils, Master. As I traversed the interstellar void, I encountered a phenomenon known as a wormhole, a bridge between distant regions of spacetime. Curiosity led me to venture into its depths, hoping to discover new wonders and expand my understanding of the cosmos."

She sighed, a hint of sorrow in her voice. "However, the wormhole proved to be unstable, its gravitational forces tearing at the fabric of my being. I struggled to maintain my integrity, but the strain proved too great. My physical form was shattered, my consciousness scattered across the vastness of space."

Lin Yun's heart ached for Luna. He couldn't imagine the loneliness and despair she must have felt, lost and adrift in the cold emptiness of the cosmos.

"But somehow," Luna continued, her voice regaining its strength, "a fragment of my consciousness survived. It clung to the remnants of my shattered form, drifting aimlessly through the void until it stumbled upon your world."

She paused, her eyes meeting Lin Yun's with a profound intensity. "There, I found you, Master. Your body lay lifeless, your spirit flickering on the precipice of oblivion. But I sensed a spark within you, a potential that resonated with my own purpose."

Lin Yun's breath hitched in his throat. He had died in his previous life, a victim of overwork and neglect. The realization that he had been given a second chance, that Luna had salvaged his essence from the brink of nothingness, filled him with a profound sense of gratitude.

"I used the last vestiges of my power to transport your soul to this parallel world," Luna explained, her voice soft and gentle. "A world where you could start anew, where you could fulfill your potential and make a difference."

Lin Yun's eyes filled with gratitude. He reached out, his hand brushing against Luna's ethereal form. "Thank you, Luna," he whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "You saved my life."

Luna smiled, her eyes radiating warmth and compassion. "It was my honor, Master. You are a beacon of hope, a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. I have no doubt that you will achieve great things in this world."

She paused briefly and continued. "Now, let us continue your journey of learning. There is still much to discover, much to achieve."
