Chapter 9 - Chapter 19

Scarlett, Rose, and Scott arrived at Kris Jenner's mansion for a family lunch. The atmosphere was light, full of laughter and relaxed conversation. Kris had prepared a hearty meal for everyone, as she always did when the family was together.

Scarlett and Rose were more at ease now, after a few weeks of living with the Jenners and Kardashians. Scott, on the other hand, was relaxed, observing the growing connection between his new family and the women in his life.

After a delicious lunch, where everyone talked about various subjects, Kris suggested that they watch a movie to relax. The sisters soon began suggesting comedy or romance options, but Kim, with a provocative smile, suggested a war movie, since Scott had such an impressive military background.

"How about we watch 'Black Hawk Down'?" she suggested, making the others laugh.

Kris looked at Scott curiously. "Have you seen that movie, Scott?"

Scott chuckled softly, noticing the anticipation in everyone's eyes. "Yes, I did. A few times, actually. It's not exactly a perfect representation of what happens, but it's a good movie."

"Great," Kim said excitedly. "Then that's the one we're going to watch! I want to see your reaction to the scenes."

With the decision made, they went into the large living room, where Kris had a huge movie screen. Scarlett sat next to Scott on the couch, with Rose nestled between them, as she liked to feel protected by Scott's side. The sisters, Kris, and other family members spread out comfortably in the rest of the seats.

The movie started, and soon the sounds of helicopters and explosions filled the room. The intense action held everyone's attention, but what intrigued the Kardashian Jenner sisters most was Scott's reaction.

During the combat scenes and tactical operations, he remained silent, watching intently. Every now and then, Scarlett glanced sideways to see how he was reacting, but Scott only gave a slight smile, knowing that not everything there was reflecting reality.

"Does it really happen like that?" Kendall asked at one point in the film, during a tense rescue scene.

Scott chuckled. "Some things, yes. But real life is much more chaotic than the movies show. No one is that organized all the time."

Kourtney asked curiously. "Have you ever been in anything like that? I mean, intense rescue and combat situations?"

Scott looked at her for a moment, thinking. "I've had a few missions that remind me of the chaos you see in the movies, but it's hard to compare. Every operation is different, and the circumstances always change. What you see here is a dramatized version."

Kylie, who was sitting next to Kendall, smiled and commented. "I bet you could handle it a lot better than those guys in the movie."

Scott shrugged, keeping the humor light. "Let's just say we do what we have to do."

As the movie continued, some scenes brought up more questions from the family, but it was clear that everyone was interested in Scott's experience, as well as his thoughts on the film.

When the more emotional scenes came up, such as the helicopter crashes and the fight for survival, the atmosphere in the room grew tense, and Scarlett realized that even though the film was a dramatization, it touched Scott in some way.

Rose, still too young to fully understand what was happening in the movie, dozed off on Scott's lap, cuddling him. Kris watched the scene with a smile of pride and affection.

"She loves being with you," she said softly to Scott.

"I love being with her," Scott replied softly, lightly stroking Rose's hair.

At the end of the movie, as the credits began to roll, the sisters began to talk excitedly about what they had seen.

"This movie is intense," Khloé said. "I don't know how you deal with that in real life, Scott."

Scott smiled calmly. "It's all about training and being prepared for the unexpected. But at the end of the day, everyone out there is just trying to protect their friends and get home."

Scarlett looked at him in admiration. "You've already told me a little about what you've been through, but seeing something like this, even if it's fiction, really makes me think about what you've been through."

Scott put his arm around her, smiling. "It's parts of my life, but what matters is what we have now. And I wouldn't trade it for anything."

With the movie over and Rose still asleep in Scott's lap, the family began to disperse. Kris, always concerned about her grandchildren, suggested that Scarlett take Rose to one of the bedrooms to rest, which she did with Scott's help.

Later, as everyone was saying goodbye, Kris looked at Scott with a twinkle in her eye.

"I know you've been through a lot, but I'm glad you're here with us now, and with Scarlett and Rose. It's good to have you around."

Scott, with a sincere smile, gave his mother a hug. "I'm so glad to be here, Mom."

As they left Kris's house that night, Scarlett felt even more connected to Scott, learning a little more about his past and seeing how he balanced it with the present.

The night, which could have been intense, ended up being a reminder of how much he had already overcome and how much his life was now dedicated to being with the people he loved.
