The world tree, also known as the forever tree is an ancient sentient being that resided in the forever realm. It was rumored to be the first living being to ever breathe air in the forever realm, how it got there and who first planted the tree was unknown but still the forever tree contained all the knowledge available in three out of the five realms. Anyone seeking to get knowledge from the tree must first travel to the forever isle; a wonderful place surrounded by trees and flowers with the World tree in the direct center of it all.
The journey to the isle wasn't easy and was marked with many perils and dangers ranging from dangerous sea serpents patrolling the seas to gargantuan giants that roamed the mountains and rocks before the isle.
And even after one could pass through this trial, it wasn't still guaranteed that the tree would answer whatever question that he or she had to ask.
The tree could only answer a question on two conditions:The first being that one had knowledge from the fallen realm or the forsaken realms; the two realms that the tree had no knowledge about due to their undead nature and demonic inhabitants.
The second condition was only reserved for mages or creatures that possessed the gift of prophecy and still had the strength and skill needed to get the forbidden isle.
Luckily for Ignus she fell into the second category and had actually made the journey to the tree before; a journey she had taken in order to find a little bit more about Draghyr. After stopping to chow down on an unfortunate serpent that had gotten too close, and shredding some giants to pieces, the golden eagle made her way to the tree….
(In the sacred grove that served as the four great beasts meeting hall)
"It has been three weeks since Ignus took off for the world tree" Klaus grumbled, cursing the fact that the meeting called by Fang had disrupted his date with a rather delightful great sow.
"Be patient, Ignus has informed me that she will be coming today" Orus said calming the impatient boar.
"The way you two communicate over such long distances is going to forever remain a mystery to me" Fang chuckled while he licked his paw. "Speaking of the devil".
"Told you she was coming" Orus laughed looking up at the descending eagle.
"I guess I will just have to wait for her to land" Klaus murmured and for a second wished for his species to one day have a longer neck.
"Sorry for keeping all of you waiting" Ignus said with a short laugh as she folded her wings on reaching the floor and surprisingly not scattering any of the leaves on the forest floor upon her descent.
The rest of the beasts sat down on their haunches, giving the eagle all of their ears.
"The world tree confirmed my suspicions, the Huntrans are indeed alive though they are in a place none of us have access to". She ruffled her feathers and then continued "It turns out a few of them had left this realm before they could be totally annihilated".
"That's great" Klaus chipped in "Meaning we can all rest and simply allow the prophecy to fulfill itself".
Ignus hearing this, shook her head "Prophecies don't always go the way they are supposed to, and as such the future 'Chosen one' will need our assistance". "How and why? Asked Fang "If the chosen one's people are indeed alive doesn't that mean he will be trained first hand by a race of powerful warriors?
Orus this time around replied the panther "You seem to forget that it is said in the prophecies that the 'last' Huntran will be the one to stop Draghyr". "Though the question that remains is which realm did the Huntrans run to?
"It will either be the Forbidden or Forgotten realm though the World tree didn't specify" Ignus answered before she continued with the plan she had:
"What this means is that somehow in the nearest future Draghyr will find the Huntrans and try to annihilate them once again in a bid to render Elhyr's prophecy useless.
Elhyr for now refuses to lend us a helping hand because of his naïve belief that prophecies can never be changed or destroyed.
This of course is wrong and as such it will be up to us to protect the future and for our plan to work we will need Fang's help.
The midnight panther tilted his head confused, Ignus seeing this continued "You are the only being alive apart from the 'Tree' that knows about the Huntrans, meaning if in the event the 'Chosen one' grows up without his people, it will be up to you to educate him about their culture and abilities. I would suggest you educate the 'Night' in the future to be on the lookout for any strange child or if you feel unsafe, maybe you can assign this task to a family you deeply trust.
"How sure are you that the 'Chosen one' is going to appear in this realm? Fang asked licking his paw in a desperate attempt to feign nonchalance.
"I am going to make sure of it" Ignus replied "How I will do it; I don't know but all the world needs from you is to educate this 'Chosen one".
"That's great and all but you should be very much aware that though I live long, I'm still not immortal" Fang pointed out.
Orus after much thinking got to his feet, "I have an idea that might work".
The stag began to brief them on his idea and after a collective nod, all of the beasts left thinking, except Klaus of course who couldn't even contain his joy about how simple his own task was….
