Chapter 10 - The trap

As Agent Roos stood in the doorway, his smile grew wider. "You're just in time to join the party," he said.

Haruta's heart was racing. He knew that they had to get out of there, fast.

Maya grabbed his arm. "Come on," she whispered.

But as they turned to run, Haruta saw that the room was surrounded. Agent Roos's men were everywhere, their guns drawn.

Maya's eyes widened in alarm. "We're trapped," she whispered.

Haruta knew that they had to think fast. They couldn't take on Agent Roos's men in a straight fight.

He looked around the room, desperate for a way out. That's when he saw it - a small ventilation shaft in the wall.

"Maya, come on," he whispered, pointing to the shaft.

Maya nodded, and together they made a run for the shaft.

They climbed inside just as Agent Roos's men burst into the room.

Haruta and Maya crawled through the shaft, their hearts pounding in their chests.

As they crawled, Haruta could hear Agent Roos's men shouting below. They were closing in.

Suddenly, Maya stopped. "Wait," she whispered ,Haruta looked at her, confused. "What's wrong?" he whispered.

Maya pointed ahead. "Look," she whispered.

Haruta peered into the darkness, and his heart sank. The shaft ended in a solid wall.

They were trapped.

As they turned to crawl back, Haruta heard the sound of Agent Roos's men climbing into the shaft behind them.

They were surrounded.

Haruta knew that they had to think fast. They couldn't take on Agent Roos's men in the cramped shaft.

He looked at Maya, desperate for a plan.

But Maya just shook her head. "I don't know," she whispered.

As they stood there, frozen with fear, Haruta heard the sound of Agent Roos's men closing in.

They were running out of time.

And then, just as all hope seemed lost, Haruta heard a faint humming noise.

It was a ventilation fan.

Har's eyes lit up. "Maya, come on," he whispered.

Together, they crawled towards the fan, their hearts pounding in their chests.

As they reached the fan, Haruta could see that it was old and rusted.

But it looked like it might just work.

Haruta took a deep breath, and then he kicked the fan as hard as he could.

The fan groaned, and then it lurched to life.

Haruta and Maya crawled through the fan, their bodies squeezed tight.

As they emerged on the other side, Haruta could see that they were in a large, abandoned warehouse.

The warehouse was dimly lit, the only sound the creaking of old wooden beams.

Haruta and Maya looked at each other, their eyes shining with relief.

They had escaped.

But as they turned to make their way through the warehouse, Haruta heard a faint noise.

It was the sound of footsteps.

Haruta's heart sank. They weren't alone in the warehouse.

And then, just as Haruta was starting to feel afraid, a figure emerged from the shadows.

It was a woman, tall and imposing.

"Welcome, Haruta," she said, her voice low and husky. "I've been waiting for you."
