As the woman emerged from the shadows, Haruta's instincts told him to be cautious. He didn't know who she was or what she wanted he only knows that danger was laid far ahead.
But Maya seemed to recognize her. "Raven," she said, her voice filled with relief.
Raven smiled, her eyes gleaming with amusement. "Maya," she said. "It's been a while."
Haruta looked at Maya, confused. "Who is She?" he whispered with fear still in his mind.
Maya leaned in close. "Raven is a member of The Resistance," she whispered. "She's here to help us."
Haruta's eyes widened as he looked at Raven. He had so many questions to ask the young lady but he still regain his composure.
But before he could ask any of them, Raven spoke up. "We don't have much time left," she said hastily. "Agent Roos and his men will be here soon. We need to get out of here, now as fast as we can!."
Haruta nodded in agreement, his heart racing. He knew that they had to move fast.
Raven led them through the warehouse, dodging crates and leaping over puddles. Haruta and Maya followed close behind, their senses on high alert.
As they reached the door, Raven stopped. "Wait," she said, her ear pressed against the door.
Haruta and Maya exchanged a nervous glance. What was going on?
Raven's eyes snapped open. "It's clear," she said. "Let's go."
They burst through the door, finding themselves in a deserted alleyway. Raven led them down the alley, dodging trash cans and leaping over puddles.
As they ran, Haruta couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. He was finally doing something, finally taking action.
But as they turned a corner, Haruta's excitement turned to fear. Agent Roos and his men were waiting for them, their guns drawn.
Raven didn't hesitate. She pulled out a small device and pressed a button. A blast of smoke erupted, obscuring Agent Roos and his men.
"Now's our chance," Raven said, grabbing Haruta and Maya's arms. "Let's go."
They ran through the smoke, their hearts pounding in their chests. Haruta didn't know where they were going, but he knew they had to keep moving.
As they emerged from the smoke, Haruta saw a car waiting for them. Raven pushed them inside, then jumped in behind them.
The car sped away, leaving Agent Roos and his men behind. Haruta breathed a sigh of relief, his heart still racing.
But as he looked over at Maya and Raven, he knew that they weren't out of danger yet. They still had a long way to go.
And Haruta was ready for whatever came next.
