"I'll stay behind and protect us!" Troy said seriously.
"No you won't! I'm changing the plan. I'll stay behind and protect us. Then I'll yell for Troy if I need help." Damone demanded the group.
"I'll cast spells if you need it." Meria offered to Damone.
"I'll set someone on fire if you need me to." Abigail offered Damone with a grin.
"I'll make sure our path is clear." Weston announced to the group.
"The plan is great. Let's do it!" Damone agreed with the plan.
They kept on running and jumping onto different roof tops so they could be kept out of sight from other people. They ran into different alleyways to take breaks from running so much. When they finally found a way out of the city, they ran into another forest. When they get into the forest, Meria turns around to count everyone. But she notices that one person is missing! Damone was gone!
"Does anyone know where Damone is?!" Maria asked in panic.
"I thought he was protecting us." Troy said in confusion.
"Damone wouldn't run away like that!" Meria said while she was still panicking.
"What if he was kidnaped while we were running?" Weston asked Meria in concern.
"That is a good possibility." Abigail told Weston.
"I think we should go back and look for him!" Meria told them with tears in her eyes.
"Are you crazy?! We can't risk going back! We don't even know who is chasing us!" Wetson told Meria in shock.
"Why can't we go back? We can work together to defeat whoever was after us!" Meria said crying to Weston.
"We can't risk being taken or kidnapped like Damone." Weston told Meria sadly.
"Even if he wasn't here, he would want us to keep running for our safety." Troy told Meria seriously.
"How would you know that?!" Maria asked in frustration.
"Damone chose to be in the back because he cared about our safety. If he was here, he would tell us to keep going." Troy explained to Meria.
"Alright! Let's keep going." Meria said sadly with tears in her eyes.
The group went on their journey to find a place that they could call home and be free. As they traveled, they visited three towns that they have never seen before. They changed clothes each time they visited the different towns so they could blend in and hide from the scientist's. When the group explored the three town's, they collected stuff to survive their long journey. By the time it was sunset, they found another forest and they set up their camp in an area that had bushes. Meria had cooked fish and chicken so the group could eat dinner.
"Do you think we'll meet anyone else while we're traveling?" Weston asked in a curious tone.
"I doubt it but we might because we don't know how many other people are running from the director." Abigail explained to Weston.
"Why is the government allowing the director to torture other people like this?" Troy asked seriously.
"He's hiding it from the government people! He's also manipulating the government." Abigail said.
"Before I ran away from the lab, I heard the director say that he wanted to change the world and turn it into something better. He also promised to pay the government money if they help him and give the government incredible powers. But the director is just using the government though. Once he has the government's full trust, he's going to ambush the government and take over the country." Weston explained to the group.
"So...he wants to take over and be king?" Meria asked Weston.
"Yeah. He's going to have to persuade the other country's governments though." Troy said seriously.
"That is a good point. It also depends on who he's dealing with." Weston told the group sarcastically.
"Who is going to stop the director when he tries to rule over the world?" Meria asked the group in a worried voice.
"I don't know. I guess anyone that dares to get in his way." Abigail said in a sarcastic tone towards Meria.
"Well, it's getting late. I'm going to bed." Troy said while yawning.
"Same." Weston said
"I'm going to bed too."Meria said while stretching.
"I'll stay up and keep watch to make sure nobody attacks!" Abigail announced to the group.
While the others slept in their tents, Abigail watched from inside her tent. She had her tent half way opened so nobody could tell if she was awake. Once it was 12:00pm, Abigail was struggling to stay awake. She eventually fell asleep and couldn't stay awake any longer.
By the time morning came and the sun rose, Abigail was woken up by a scream. The scream came from Meria! Abigail quickly got up and looked around and saw Meria looking at a blood trail. Then Troy raced out of his tent to see why she was screaming. But there was no sign of Weston! Abigail saw that his tent was open but he wasn't in there! Weston was gone! She got out of her tent and the three of them followed the blood trail. When they reached the end of the blood trail, they found Wetson's body hanging from a tree. When they saw his body, Meria gasped in horror and Abigail trembled in fear. Troy was also angry. The three of them hated their friends being taken from them like this.
Abigail spread her wings and flew up to cut the rope that was around Weston's neck. Then they dragged his body back to camp so they could bury his body and give him a grave. After they did that, they put flowers on his grave to remember him.
"It was my fault that Weston was killed!" Abigail told Meria and Troy while crying.
"What do you mean that it was your fault?" Troy asked, concerned.
"I was supposed to keep watch over us! I failed as a teammate. It should have died! Not him!" Abigail said as she was crying and panicking.
"Abigail! Stop panicking and stop blaming yourself! If you keep telling yourself that, you're going to lose control of yourself." Meria told her while trying to calm her.
"But you know I'm right! It's my fault! He died because of me! Just admit that I'm right!" Abigail yelled at Meria.
"Troy! Tell her that it isn't her fault!" Meria demanded him.
"All of this arguing isn't going to do anything. We need to find somewhere safe. We also need to pack up." Troy told them, rolling his eyes.
Suddenly, a pot and a pan were thrown in Troy's direction. Troy quickly moved out of the way of the pot and the pan.
"Don't you get it Troy! Nowhere is safe!" Abigail screamed at Troy in hatred.
"How would you know?! We just haven't gotten away from the scientist's yet!" Troy tried to explain to her.
"It doesn't matter how much we keep running! They always find us like last night. You're a fool Troy! We can't keep running away. If we keep running, then the director will take over the world. We need to rise up!" Abigail explained to Troy while trying to prove her point.
"Then what do you expect us to do?" Troy asked in confusion.
"We need to stop the director! We need to kill him!" Abigail said in excitement.
"There are only three of us." Meria told Abigail in confusion.
"We could raise an army. We just have to look for other people that are running from the director." Abigail explained her plan to Troy and Meria.
"Are you crazy?! More of us will die if we try to kill the director." Meria told her in a worried voice.
"Maybe if we train and practice enough, then not many of us will die. If we do die, at least we died trying to be a hero." Abigail told them excitedly.
Meria and Troy didn't like the idea. So Meria looked at Troy and sadly nodded, agreeing to wipe her memory. Only tiger demons had the power to wipe people's minds. Troy walked over to Abigail, then knocked her out and wiped her memory. Meria and Troy packed everything up. They left some stuff for Abigail to survive and left her behind.
The next day, Abigail woke up wondering why her head hurt. When she looked around, she was confused. Abigail didn't know where she was. All she remembered was running away from home to get away from the director. Then she realized that she was next to a grave! She looked at a stone that was on the grave and it had the name "Weston" on it.
"Why was I sleeping next to a grave and who is Weston?" Abigail wondered while looking at the grave.
Abigail wandered around the forest while she was trying to remember what happened after she ran away. Abigail hunted for deer so she could eat breakfast. Then Abigail suddenly heard a rustle in the bushes near her. She flew up in a tree to watch what comes out of the bushes. As Abigail watched from the tree, She saw a baby deer come out into the open and into the sunlight. The baby deer looked like it was lost. Abigail felt sorry for the baby deer and what was about to happen to it.
She lunged for the baby deer and dug her dragon claws into the baby deers ribb's as she used her wolf teeth to bite into the baby deers throat. Abigail let go of the baby deer and watched it bleed out. It was painful for Abigail to listen to the baby deers screams while it was dying. The baby deer eventually stopped moving and was finally dead. Abigail feasted on the baby deer for breakfast. She was starving all morning too. When she was done eating on the baby deer, she packed up her things and started walking north.
"I wonder if I will find anything while walking north. Beside's, I'm still confused about how I got here. Did something happen?" Abigail thought to herself.
Suddenly, there was a noise behind her in tree's. Abigail quickly turned around to see what caused the noise and saw a pair of glowing eyes in the tree's that were looking at her. Then the pair of glowing eyes had disappeared.
"I have to see who that was! Maybe they can help me find my way out of this forest." Abigail wondered while looking for the person.
Abigail searched for the person that she saw. But she couldn't find the person because they didn't leave a trace of where they were in the tree.
"It's impossible not to leave a trace or a mark of where a person was! How is it possible?! It has to be a spell or magic!" Abigail said in surprise.
Then Abigail saw something land next to her feet. She looked down and saw a note. She bent down to grab it and unfolded the note and read it.
"Who are you and what are you doing in my territory? I thought I was the only one of my kind but I guess I'm wrong." Abigail read the note out loud.
Abigail looked at the spot that the note was thrown from and tried to get close to them so she could see what they looked like. When she tried to get close, a pair of claws tried to swipe at her so she couldn't get close.
"Well…If you want to know who I am, I am Abigail and I'm running from the director. I'm trying to survive on my own as I'm running. It's hard trying to stay safe when the director comes to find me." Abigail told the stranger.
The stranger walked into the light but still kept their distance from her. The stranger was a boy. Abigail was shocked to see another one of her kind. He had bigger dragon horns, red eye's, and bigger dragon wings. Abigail has never seen anyone like her before!
"What is your name?" Abigail asked kindly to the stranger.
"My name is Daniel. What is your last name?" He told her.
"It's Ravane. Why do you ask?" Abigail asked in wonder.
"Is the Director your uncle?! Do you work for him?" Daniel asked in panic as he stepped back quickly.
Abigail could help but laugh at his question. Then Daniel looked at her in total confusion. He couldn't help but wonder why she was laughing at his question. After she was done laughing, she sat down in the soft green grass.
"Sit down with me. I have a few questions for you." Abigail said to him with a smile.
"Is your father a dragon and is your mother a werewolf?" Daniel asked her in a worried voice.
"How do you know stuff about me?" Abigail asked in a serious tone.
"Your father helped kill the queen. There is a rumor that you are related to the queen. You may be the lost heir to the throne! But your father and his brother were afraid that you would rule over them. They decided that they were going to use you as a weapon instead. Then as soon as you ran away, your father and his brother created a monster to kill the queen. Your mother was supposed to be on the throne but she refused and the queen was furious. The queen tried everything to persuade your mother. Your mother finally had it and killed the queen. After that happened, her sister took the throne. Your mother wanted to use you to kill her mother so she didn't have to deal with her any longer. The queen was your grandmother and your mothers sister was your aunt." Daniel explained the whole story to Abigail.
"I guess my parents only made me to become their weapon. Did my parents care to come look for me after I ran away?" Abigail wondered to herself.
"No. They didn't care to come look for you. So they created an alien octopus 2.0 and used it to kill the queen. It was the third lab experiment they created. It even ate its own cell mate!" Daniel told her sadly.
"How do you know about all of this?" Abigail asked him in confusion.
"Most of it was in the newspaper and then I put the pieces together when I saw that the director had the same last name as you and the queen claimed a long time ago that her oldest child would take the throne but never did. There was a picture of your mother and the queen in the newspaper when the queen made that announcement." Daniel explained to her carefully.
"I didn't think that they would say that I ran away in the newspapers. Since they didn't care to come look for me." Abigail said in suspicion
"That part was not in the newspaper. I was there when you ran away because I was following the director to figure out what he was up to." Daniel said with a grin.
"How come I didn't see you? I was in the forest!" Abigail told him.
"I used magic. Most dragons are able to use magic." Daniel said to her with a smirk on his face.
"I've never been able to use magic before. Can you teach me?" Abigail wondered in excitement.
"What is seen shall be seen shall be unseen!" Daniel said, casting a spell on a leaf.
Abigail watched the magic happen and she was surprised. Abigail had never known that magic was a thing. Abigail couldn't help but feel speechless.
"How about we go for a walk? There's a lot I need to teach you about." Daniel suggested to Abigail kindly.
