Hyrus POV:
The city had a slow but meaningful recovery from the horrors. It had been a week, almost 500 had been pronounced dead. The blood had been washed away by rain over the course of the week, the city slowly returning back to how it had always been.
Cal's coronation had been today, I had watched as the golden crown had been placed onto his head, watching from a nearby window, the crown gleaming in the sunlight as hundreds of people watched, the crowd cheering as Cal was pronounced the new king of Alivaria.
I felt a smile bloom onto my face. This was the start of something new, something better than before.
I didn't know what was yet to come for us in this city, but we would find out, together.
