Aurelia crouched down, her green eyes wide with surprise. "Blaky, what are you doing here? And how did you sneak into Ronan's bag?"
Ronan groaned, glaring at the tiny black kitten. "Stop calling it that. And seriously, how did this thing get in my bag without me noticing?"
The kitten blinked up at him, completely unbothered, then suddenly perked up its ears and started ran deeper into the mine.
Aurelia jumped to her feet. "Blaky, wait! It's dangerous!" She dashed after the kitten.
Ronan threw up his hands. "We're not here to babysit a cat!" But he followed anyway. "Aurelia, stop chasing it! This isn't some fairy tale—"
"It's guiding us, Ron!" Aurelia called back, her voice echoing through the tunnels.
Ronan grumbled to himself, hurrying along. "Unbelievable. A cat leading us through a monster-filled mine. Perfect."
