Several hours later.
Change of POV: Shirou
I and Issei just exited Kuoh Academy before we parted ways, while I'm walking to the nearest shop, after all, I needed sustenance.
While walking, I began to think of various ways to make money, and one of the easiest methods was utilizing my abilities.
[Abilities]: limitless, golden rule, absolute luck.
I'm considering relying on sheer luck and going to a casino to gamble after learning about this power
[The user possesses an extraordinary blessing of limitless luck, so profound that it surpasses the boundaries of conventional probability. Their luck is so significant that it alters the very fabric of reality. This enables them to defy the laws of causality and rationality, allowing them to navigate through life without fear of consequences and shape their own destinies according to their desires. Impossible odds and unbeatable adversaries present no challenge, as they consistently achieve victories in all areas of life.]
After that, I'm going to follow what Lego Batman always says: always bet on black.
I hummed before asking the system a question. "Can you instruct me on how to hide my magical presence?"
Another window replaced old one.
[Very well, but only once you are in a suitable environment. Regarding the current situation, you currently have an advantage over the Devils in Kuoh. They likely believe you possess a Sacred Gear related to the Holy Light element and may be monitoring you in some way. Therefore, it would be advisable not to conceal your presence in Kuoh just yet.]
'Very well, how do I awaken my [True Power] as you put it?'
[It is simple; the user only needs to invoke a special incantation to activate the dormant energy within their body. This power is oriented around the Holy Light element, and as far as I know, it can transform your entire existence. The changes might not be limited to physical aspects; they could also include mental ones, but I do not have enough information on that.]
Hmm. "So, what will I turn into? I remember R.O.B. saying that I would have Satan-Class abilities, but it's up to me to learn how to properly wield them to their full potential, and that starts right away. It's truly a golden opportunity, but I suppose it comes at the cost of my humanity?"
'Welp fudge my Humanity I need that power for UNLIMITED POWER MUAHAHAHA'
And of course, another window appeared, replacing the old one as usual.
[Yes. What I can claim for certain is that your new form will be oriented towards light; as far as speculation goes, you might turn into an angel.]
I looked at the screen with intrigue. It made sense, but in that case, it would imply a Seraph rank, Angel. After all, it would possess the power of Seraph/Satan-Class but have little to no control. So, I needed to ask this question now as well.
'Is it safe to assume that my 'transformation' will release a rather giant spike of magic?'
This time, the window wasn't replaced but instead another new word was added in the last sentence from the system.
[Yes.]
"My transformation will undoubtedly attract the attention of factions in Japan. After all, why would they ignore the potential threat of a Satan-Class being rampaging and wielding such power? They would definitely investigate. This concern would involve not only the Three Factions, which have significant influence in Japan but also the Yokai Faction and the Shinto. It would be foolish to think otherwise."
'Oh well, I NEED to get my powers as fast as I can. Concerning that I changed canon just from my presence, just look at Isei! Where will her dumb power-ups appear from now??!' I thought as I winced at those. No thanks, I won't meddle with them.
For now, let's focus on making money quickly time to head to a casino.

The casino floor buzzed with excitement, the rhythmic sound of clinking coins and flashing lights filling the air. Tables of eager gamblers surrounded the high-stakes area, each player hoping for that one lucky roll or perfect hand to lead them to a fortune. But tonight, there was one player whose presence seemed to make the atmosphere even more electrifying than usual. It was Shirou. He appeared almost unnaturally calm. His eyes scanned the roulette wheel as the dealer spun it. The moment the ball began bouncing around the wheel, Shirou's fingers twitched ever so slightly.
Dealer (smiling, completely unaware of what was happening): "Place your bets, ladies and gentlemen!"
Shirou placed a single chip on the number 17—a long shot in roulette—but as soon as he did, a ripple seemed to pass through the air. His bet felt different; it felt right as if the universe had decided to align in his favor. The ball clattered around the wheel, and as if the laws of probability had suddenly shifted, it slowed just in time to land precisely on 17.
Dealer (staring at the ball, wide-eyed): "Seventeen... again." The room fell silent for a split second before collective murmurs of disbelief and awe filled the air. The dealer pushed a massive stack of chips toward Shirou, but he simply smiled, collecting them casually as though this happened every day.
Later, Shirou sat at a blackjack table, his luck still flowing like an unstoppable river. The dealer shuffled the deck, but before the first card was dealt, Shirou already knew the upcoming cards
Dealer (with a practiced smile): "Alright, sir. Your bet?"
Without a second thought, Shirou placed a hefty stack of chips on the table. The dealer dealt the cards, one after the other, and as the cards appeared, Shirou's hand was perfect—just as he had predicted.
Shirou(glancing at the cards, a faint smirk on his lips): "I'll stand."
The dealer's cards revealed a bust, and once again, Shirou collected his winnings, but this time, a few curious eyes were on him. The odds weren't in his favor, but the cards always seemed to turn up just right for him, each time.
A Nearby Gambler (whispering to a friend): "Did you see that? He's been winning non-stop. It's like he's controlling the game." Friend (looking over at Shirou, frowning): "It's like he knows what's coming next. There's no way that's just chance."
After two hours of wining, He stood up from the blackjack table, where he'd just won another round, and walked toward the cashier's desk, his hands nonchalantly slipping the massive pile of chips into a neat stack.
Cashier (smiling warmly, but her eyes flickering with a hint of disbelief as she glanced at his winnings): "Good evening, sir. Looks like you've had quite a run tonight."
Shirou gave her a friendly smile, leaning slightly on the counter as he watched her count the chips.
Shirou(with a calm chuckle): "I've been lucky tonight, I suppose."
The cashier raised an eyebrow, clearly taken aback by the sheer volume of chips. Her fingers moved quickly, counting them out with precision, but she couldn't hide her astonishment. The pile of chips wasn't just large—it was beyond the kind of winnings most gamblers could even dream of.
Cashier (pausing, giving him a curious look): "This is... quite the haul. It's over a hundred thousand, sir. Are you sure you'd like to take it all in cash?"
Shirou glanced around the bustling casino floor. The buzz of energy felt almost... distant, as if he were in his world, unaffected by the growing curiosity of the onlookers.
Shirou (his voice smooth, with a hint of playful confidence): "I think I'll take a little bit of it in cash, but most of it in a wire transfer to my account."
The cashier nodded, clearly struggling to hide her surprise. She finished counting and inputting the information into the system, before reaching for the cash. She handed him several bundles of bills—thick stacks wrapped in paper bands.
Cashier (handing over the cash): "Here you go, sir. Your winnings. And of course, if you need anything else, don't hesitate to ask."
Shirou, 'it's time for a better house and materials. I want to try out magic engineering, blacksmithing, and potion-making'. Maybe I can sell these to others in the supernatural community. I remember that in DxD, devils don't have many healers like those in heaven.
Timeskip him buying a house cause im too lazy to write that

I have everything I need right now; I just need a good place to unseal my powers. I'm considering going to Kyoto for a few reasons.
It's closer than Tokyo, which means a cheaper ticket.
2. Kyoto is the capital of the Yokai Faction. While they may not be particularly strong, they might be open to negotiation regarding Yasaka's nature if necessary.
3. I could also go to Tokyo, but it's dominated by the Shinto Faction, which I've read can be even more ruthless and antagonistic than the Yokai Faction. It seems wiser to choose a weaker faction, right?
Aside from other reasons, the number one reason is the most important. It's just a 3,000 yen ticket from Kuoh to Kyoto with the Japanese Bullet Train. My money is not restricted anymore after all.
