Eve blinked her eyes, adjusting to her surroundings. She woke up immediately when she realized she was in a strange room that was not hers.
"Where am I?" Eve looked around, suddenly her head hurt.
"Ouch, my head." Eve groaned in pain. Her head was now hurting more, her vision was a bit blurry and her head was throbbing even more.
"Are you awake?" Carlo stood in the doorway, his height towering almost to the top of the door. Eve watched for a moment, then she lost focus. Her vision was getting blurry.
Carlo walked over to Eve. The man opened the dresser drawer, Eve frowned, she thought Carlo took something. Sure enough, Carlo took a few pills and handed them to Eve.
"Take them. This will relieve your headache." Carlo's hand stretched out to hand the pills to Eve. Without asking, Eve took them and swallowed them. She then lay back down on the mattress she thought was Carlo's.
Carlo was still faithfully standing by the bed, his tall body and handsome face made the combination even more perfect. His sturdy frame with hard facial lines added an unmistakable impression of masculinity.
"What happened to me?" Eve opened her lips, with a soft voice and closed eyes she ventured to ask Carlo. Because since being at her parents' house and meeting Lucy she couldn't remember anything else besides that.
"You don't remember?" Carlo asked back, his forehead wrinkled.
Eve shook her head slowly, "If I remember, I can't possibly ask you the details. I just remember that you are the jerk who left my best friend, Lucy." Her eyes were still closed, but her words were so sarcastic.
Caroo laughed softly, she looked at Eve who was lying weakly. Eve reflexively opened her eyes when she heard Carlo laughing.
"Is something funny?" Eve suddenly frowned, she couldn't guess where the joke was.
"Obviously funny. You still call Lucy your best friend, after all the evil she's done to you?" Carlo laughed again. He didn't expect an innocent and stupid woman like Eve at all.
"What do you mean!" Eve raised her face. Now she was really furious at Carlo's words.
"What else? Ah, yes I forgot. You don't remember what happened yesterday, do you? In fact, just so you know, you were unconscious all night." Carlo rubbed the back of his neck.
"Luckily I gave you a free ride in the form of a house to accommodate your body," he continued without thinking about Eve's feelings.
Eve was dumbfounded by Carlo's confession. Her mouth was currently sneering at a wealthy but stingy man.
"What a cheapskate! That's all you bring up." Eve grumbled, she turned around. What Carlo said kept running through her mind.
"Why can't I remember what happened yesterday? Is what Carlo said true?" Eve wondered to herself. She has not been able to remember the events that happened to her at Carlo's parents' house.
"You'll be sleepy in a few minutes. I'm allowing you to stay another night here. As soon as you recover, you must leave my house immediately." Carlo spoke with coldness. He then turned around and walked out of Eve's room.
Eve was offended by Carlo's words, she reflexively wanted to get up but what Carlo said was true. Her eyes felt very heavy and she was very sleepy.
"What medicine did Carlo give me? Why does it feel like my eyes are so heavy to open." Eve lay back down, within seconds she was asleep. Dreams lulled her into sleep, she didn't even realize where she was now, as if resigned to fate.
"Lucy, don't do this to me. You're my best friend, please don't leave." Eve whimpered in her dream. Cold sweat poured down her temples. She woke up immediately when her cell phone rang loudly.
"What is it?" Eve woke up instantly, she immediately looked at her cell phone lying on the side.
"Oh my, it's just an alarm." Eve turned off the alarm on her cell phone. She wiped the sweat off her face. Her breathing was still labored, the dream felt real.
"My head doesn't hurt anymore," Eve said feeling her own head. Making sure it doesn't hurt anymore.
"It's true what Carlo said. Those pills do work, even though I have to sleep again all afternoon." Eve looked at the window, the sun was already on the western horizon soon to set.
"I have to get out of here. I need to see Lucy, explain all these misunderstandings," she continued and got out of bed. But just as his feet hit the ground, his body faltered and he fell to the floor.
"What's wrong?" Eve reflexively held her chest which was pounding. Many memories were running through her mind. The memory of yesterday came back again, the memory where Lucy expressed hostility to Eve and confessed all the crimes she had committed against Eve's family.
"Lucy!" Eve growled angrily, her hands clenched into fists. She just realized, once again what Carlo said was true.
"Stupid! How could I forget what happened yesterday? Why didn't I quickly realize that Lucy is no longer my enemy. She must feel what she has done." Eve once again growled angrily, the veins of her hands popping out on the surface of her skin. She felt her eyes turn a fiery orange. But she hurriedly suppressed her anger, someone had opened the door to the room.
"Eve? What are you doing?" Carlo opened the door, he found Eve sitting on the floor. His forehead wrinkled as he stared in surprise at Eve.
Eve immediately got up, although her body was still weak she pretended to have recovered in front of Carlo. According to what Carlo said, she would leave as soon as she got better.
"Thank you for accommodating. As you said, I will leave here soon." Eve bowed respectfully, she went through Carlo's body just like that, making the man a little offended. Even his question earlier had not been answered by Eve.
"Who authorized you to leave here?" Carlo pulled Eve's wrist, making the woman surprised and reflexively bumped into Carlo's broad chest.
"What .... does this mean?" Eve stammered. She couldn't bear to get too close to Carlo's body odor. That's actually what she felt.
"Did I not make myself clear enough?" Carlo gripped Eve's hips firmly. Their bodies were now perfectly pressed together. Eve didn't dare to look at Carlo's cold face, instead she looked down and observed Carlo's perfect chest.
"Oh my God." Eve swallowed her saliva quickly. She was like being hypnotized by Carlo's beautiful body. The chest was too broad and hard, so muscular with prominent abdominal muscles. Eve lost her focus, her defenses wavering after being in the clutches of Carlo, the werewolf in the guise of Multi Corp's CEO.
