"Don't play with me just because you have a position!" Eve almost screamed in annoyance with the man in front of her.
The CEO simply smiled sarcastically, "So you don't want to? Of course I didn't force you."
"But, I even know that your life is in debt, right? Living with a mother who is a gambler and also a drunkard is very troublesome." The CEO's continued sentence made Eve immediately realize and also flabbergasted. She crumpled the files in her hands.
"Alright, what exactly do you want from me." Eve tried to neutralize her annoyance, because it was undeniable that she really needed a lot of money.
"Like I said earlier, you pretended to be my Luna." Staring seriously at Eve. If it weren't for his annoying nature, Eve might have fallen in love at first sight with the man in front of her.
"How's that?" the CEO asked with one eyebrow raised.
"Maybe you should read it." Thrusting the engagement letter in Eve's direction.
"But I'm not a werewolf, I think you know that." Eve shook her head softly. She realized she was only human.
"After all, it's just a fake marriage. Why should the werewolf nation," the CEO replied lightly.
Eve looked once more at the man in front of her, then moved to the nameplate on the man's desk. "Carlo. What exactly is this guy up to," Eve thought to herself.
"Very well, Mr. Carlo. I agree. As agreed, you have to make a down payment of 2 billion after we get married." Eve clarified the contents of the agreement.
"Quite smart and meticulous," the CEO named Carlo muttered.
"Of course Miss Eve Anderson." Carlo thrust out a hand, they shook confidently.
"So, is this my only job? Do I have no place to work in this company?" Eve asked before completely leaving Carlo's presence.
Carlo seemed to think for a moment, "You can be my personal secretary. I'll tell the security guard to make a workspace for you here."
Eve nodded, and quickly walked out of the CEO's office. Being out of Carlo's reach, Eve was finally able to let go of her nervousness. She had been avoiding direct eye contact with Carlo, who turned out to be from the werewolf nation and was posing as a CEO. It was a common thing, and many rich businessmen were indeed from the werewolf nation. Somehow they managed to enter the area of ordinary people.

"What's the rush, it's cool here," Lucy chided but followed Eve out anyway.
"I'm so glad! I've finally got a job!" Eve exclaimed loudly and jumped for joy, after exiting the Multi Corp office and hugging Lucy who was as still as a rock.
"Really? I'm so glad to hear that." Lucy hugged Eve back. She even cried tears of joy.
"Why are you crying?" Eve said looking at her friend's face.
Lucy immediately rushed into Eve's arms, "You're finally not sad anymore. About this job, let's celebrate. I'll treat you to anything and I also plan to announce some important news." Lucy put her arm around Eve's shoulders humbly, without knowing what her best friend actually did.
Lucy took Eve to an expensive restaurant in their city, Eve was no longer surprised. She was so lucky to have such a wealthy friend, Lucy didn't even hesitate to give Eve a car. But Eve knew herself, she never took advantage of Lucy's wealth, because Eve was sincere in her friendship with Lucy.
"Eve? Are you daydreaming?" asked Lucy, who suddenly broke Eve's reverie. The girl immediately turned her head with a nervous face.
"What's wrong?" replied Eve with one eyebrow raised. As if waiting for Lucy to speak first.
"I'm getting married. I found my Alpha," Lucy said with red cheeks. Eve's eyes widened in surprise and delight.

Eve smiled warmly, "See, your long patience finally paid off, didn't it?" Eve grasped Lucy's hand, then gave a small nod.

Suddenly, the ringing of Lucy's cell phone startled them. Lucy immediately grabbed her cell phone from her bag, which was very famous for its brand. While Eve was silent, she was also curious about who was calling Lucy.
Lucy put her cell phone to her ear, listening to the voice from the other side. Eve noticed, now Lucy's face turned bright red, her hands gripped the cell phone so tightly that the veins on her hands stood out.
"I'M GOING HOME SOON! MAKE SURE HE'S STILL IN OUR HOUSE!" Lucy's voice was loud and shaky, and it was obvious from the look on her face that she was holding back the tears she was about to shed.
"What's wrong?" asked Eve, but Lucy ignored her. The girl quickly grabbed her bag and half ran away leaving Eve wondering.
"Lucy wait up!" Eve shouted slightly, then ran after her best friend who was walking fast with a terrifying aura. Eve could feel the aura of pain and also killing from Lucy's body.
"Lucy," Eve managed to grab Lucy's hand, making the girl stop. Then looked at Eve sharply.
"My wedding is canceled. I will kill the couple, if necessary I will kill the man too. I don't give a damn! She is my first love, if I can't have her then other women can't have her!" Lucy then threw Eve's hand away. While the girl gaped, she digested Lucy's words.
"Lucy's wedding is canceled? How can that be? What kind of a jerk is he?" Eve looked at Lucy's departure, she was still at a loss as to what she should do to help Lucy. Whereas just now a happy blush had greeted Lucy's cheeks, they were now crimson with both tears and anger.
