Kaelyn's mind reeled as she walked back to her apartment, Rachel's revelations echoing in her thoughts. She couldn't shake off the feeling that she'd unleashed a storm. As she entered her apartment, Kaelyn found Asher sitting on her couch, sipping coffee.
"What are you doing here?" Kaelyn asked, startled.
"I wanted to discuss last night," Asher said, his eyes piercing. "And this." He held up Rachel's folder. Kaelyn's eyes widened.
"Where did you get this?" she demanded.
"Rachel's loyalty was always for sale," Asher sneered. "I knew she'd betray me." Kaelyn's eyes narrowed.
"What's going on, Asher?" Asher's expression transformed, revealing a cunning smile.
"Rachel's not who she claims. She's Vivian's sister, seeking revenge against me." Kaelyn's world spun.
"Why?" she asked, stunned.
"Vivian and Rachel were estranged. Rachel blamed me for their rift," Asher explained. "She fabricated evidence to destroy me." Kaelyn's loyalty wavered.
Just then, Vivian appeared at the door, her presence commanding attention.
"Asher, stop," Vivian said, her voice icy. "Kaelyn deserves the truth." Vivian's gaze locked onto Kaelyn.
"Asher's telling the truth...but only half. Rachel is my sister, and her evidence is real." Kaelyn's eyes darted between Asher and Vivian.
"What secrets are you hiding?" Kaelyn demanded, her voice firm. Vivian's smile chilled Kaelyn.
"Secrets that will destroy us all," Vivian whispered, her words dripping with malice. The room plunged into darkness, shadows swallowing the truth. Kaelyn stood frozen, caught in the web of deceit.
