CHAPTER THREE
BETRAYAL & DARKNESS
I showed the message to the expert. He looked very serious. "We need to be careful," he said. "Sarah is desperate and will do anything to get what she wants." We decided to do the ritual, but we were more careful. We made a protective circle around us with special symbols and herbs to keep bad energy away.As we started the ritual, I felt a strange energy coming from the symbol on the wall.
It was like the entity was trying to get free and stop us from sending it away. The expert started chanting, his voice going up and down in a special rhythm. I joined in, feeling the words deep in my soul.But just as we were getting to the most important part of the ritual, I heard a loud noise from upstairs. It sounded like someone had broken into the house.
The expert looked at me, and I knew we were in trouble. "It's Sarah," he whispered. "She's trying to stop the ritual."I knew we had to act fast. I grabbed a candle and held it up, using the flame to keep bad energy away. The expert kept chanting, his voice getting louder and more urgent. I joined in, feeling the energy building up inside me.Suddenly, the air around us felt electric. The symbol on the wall started glowing with a strong, pulsing light. And then, everything went black.When I woke up, I was lying on the floor, my head hurting.
The expert was kneeling next to me, looking worried. "What happened?" I asked, trying to sit up."The ritual didn't work," the expert said. "Sarah must have found a way to break the circle. The entity is still out there, and it's stronger now."I felt scared. We didn't get rid of the entity, and now it can hurt people.Then I heard a quiet voice in my ear. "You'll never stop me," it said. "The entity will get you all."I knew Sarah was still out there, waiting to hurt me. And I knew I had to be ready.
