I know it's fast paced I can't help it because this is going to be a short novel but it'll be a good read. Please give me your support, criticism and powerstones a man's gotta eat. Now let us begin.
"Me weird, how so?" Zareth asked.
"Just what I said, most humans run and hide when faced with a dragon unless they're paralyzed with fear." The dragon replied.
"Ugh whatever, are you going to tell me your name or what?" Zareth asked annoyed.
"Only those I deem worthy can have the honor of learning my name." The dragon stated proudly.
However while the dragon was monolog-ing Zareth paid more attention to the dragon's appearance it had purple scales and violet slitted eyes it was truly majestic almost breath taking.
Zareth then took a breath and asked, "Do I gain said honor via a trial by combat."
The dragon replied with a grin, "You are correct with that assumption."
"Then what are we waiting for, let's do this!" Zareth exclaimed.
In the following instant Zareth vanished and reappeared infront of the dragon rearing a massive attack throwing it towards the dragon. When the attack made contact it kicked up a large dust cloud and made the cave quake, after a few seconds the dragon was revealed to be unharmed not a single scratch was on it. The dragon was impressed with how powerful the magic spell was but more so surprised and asked," How did you do it. I thought only dragons can use it, how can a human have access to that power."
Zareth confused asked, "Huh, what are you talking about?"
The dragon replied, "You used conceptual magic a power only dragon can use,so how did you do it?"
"Well a magic spell normally needs a chant to cast but, I felt it was a waste of time because all I need is mana and an image of the spell. Chants help people with to assist drawing an image." Zareth replied.
"You're mistaken I'm asking about the fact that you are using a different type of magic referred to as Draconic magic." The dragon patiently replied.
Zareth then asked, "What is draconian magic?"
The dragon replied and said, "Draconic magic is a magic that is formed from a dragon's will and their heart, which is why you'll find many magically inclined beings desire the hearts of dragons, it's believed to be true magic or rather called conceptual magic."
Zareth then asked, "Why is the heart of a dragon so special?"
The dragon replied, "A dragon's heart has a massive amount of pure condensed mana it develops to that point instinctually, when they gain sentience they just need to have a strong will or desire to use conceptual mana."
To which Zareth replied, "Ohhh that sounds similar to my mana heart now it makes sense why I could use magic just by willing it skipping every annoying step to cast spells."
"Mana... heart, what is that?" The dragon asked.
"Its similar to the dragon heart the only difference is that I had to consciously condense mana into my heart thus I called it Mana heart." Zareth answered.
"Interesting no wonder I felt that you're similar in some way, this only confirms it. Who taught you how to form your mana heart?" The dragon asked.
Zareth replied with a smile, "No one I created it myself or rather recreated, hehe."
"Very well, we shall continue this discussion another time, for now we shall continue our battle Zareth and if you win it give you a surprise." The dragon replied.
"Wow, really that's kind of you." Zareth stated.
Soon after, you can see a purple dragon breathing hot violet flames from its maw and a young man disappearing from one position then reappearing in another. The dragon's fire was so intense that it melted the ground forcing Zareth to destroy the ceiling of the cave to escape and gain some breathing room from the relentless assault of the dragon.
He was successful but, the dragon was hot on his trail. He was able to fight back at least, he discovered the dragon isn't as resistant to battle aura and blade aura like it was to mana.
This limited his option but not to the point he was a sitting duck. He then started using his experimental techniques and theories on blade aura techniques and battle aura techniques each clash caused explosions and tremors throughout the land. The battle lasted for more than two days. That's when both combatants hit their limit and collapsed to the ground.
"Hah, hah that was one hell of a battle you still alive dragon." Zareth spoke.
"I'm alive and it's not dragon my name is Zefiris." The dragon replied.
