It was early in the morning when Zareth and his women were asleep that they had an interesting visitor at the mouth of the cave. A woman with grass green hair and emerald green eyes she had a smirk on her beautiful face, just as she was about take a step into the cave a pressure pressed down on her causing her to kneel alongside her the other dryads also kneeled to the ground.
The dryads were confused and feared what was within the cave until they heard a voice,"What are you dryads doing here?" stepping into light they saw a young man it was Zareth and immediately connected the dots this man was the source of the oppressive aura weighing on them.
The leader of the dryads Drya spoke," I am the leader of the dryads, I inquire your purpose of being in this forest and to ask for your surrender." The now named Drya spoke in fear she may be the leader of this group but she isn't the queen and this man's aura rivaled if not surpassed their queen's.
"Hmm, first off were trying to get to the nearest city, to do that we need to go through the forest to get there sooner and second I'm not surrendering to you but I'm open to negotiation if you're interested in settling this peaceful." Zareth replied lifting his aura after he finished speaking.
"Very well human we will take you to the queen and you can speak your terms with her majesty." Drya stated, turned around and continued, "We will wait for you so awaken your women and we'll go".
"No need we're awake and ready to go so let us meet your queen." Zefiris spoke.
"Well you heard the ladies, lead the way Drya. By the way I've got questions about dryads if you're willing to answer that would be great." Zareth stated.
"I can answer, but, it also depends on what the question is, if it's something sacred or risks our safety I will not make comments." Drya replied.
"Cool." He replied.
"My first question is, why do you suck out the mana and life force from other races?" He asked Drya.
"We do that for our survival and to enlarge the forest it's our way of giving back to the earth's generosity." Drya replied.
"So life force is your food and mana is used to grow more trees for the forest to become bigger and denser. My second question, why violate people while you suck them dry to the bone?" Zareth stated and asked.
"Your second question's answer is because of our instinct, we inherit the knowledge of deseased dryads and the primordial goddess Gaia. Thus the moment we are born we know humans are evil and cut down forest destroying the lives of forest animals. Drya gave a lengthy speech on why they do what they do.
Zareth took it in stride and asked,"Why do you look more human than the others?"
"The others are still young and need to grow stronger but I'm born this way my mother is the queen of our people after all." Drya replied smoothly.
"However, like I implied the others can evolve and grow stronger exponentially than they are now, it just takes a long time, 3 centuries long to be precise." Drya stated and continued, "By the way dryads don't give birth like humans most are born from trees that grow within mana rich locations and are 5 centuries old, but, we are capable conceiving a child like humans do, it's not often just know that it does happen occasionally when human men are attacked by dryads."
"I see, but, you should know there are people who love nature for various reasons, I like the atmosphere it's relaxing and soothing especially when you meditate after some intense training. " Zareth stated.
Sophie, Sophia and Zefiris agreed with his statement causing the dryads and Drya to look at them with intrigue and suspicion.
