Chapter 1 - Being the only daughter

Olivia came down from the stairs wearing her pajamas; she pecked her parents, who were watching a program.

"Olive, I thought you were following your brother," her mother asked.

"Mom, Liam went out with his girlfriend, and you can't advise me to be a third party," Olivia said and walked to the kitchen. Liam was the second son.

"Darling, can you help me with a juice?" Mr. Jeff said, and Olivia replied, "Okay, Dad."

Olivia has beautiful long black hair and cute brown eyes. She was tall, slim, and beautiful; people always admired her looks and also said she resembled her adopted mother. It has been eighteen years since she has been adopted. When they lost their daughter, Mrs. Jeff couldn't endure the pains, and Mr. Jeff planned to adopt a beautiful girl who looked like their daughter and was also the same age as her. When Olivia grew up, she believed her family was her adopted family because she lacked nothing since the day she was brought home. Mr. Jeff took care of her like his biological daughter; she was so over-pampered that the maids would blow a trumpet before she woke up, and as old as she was, it was her maid that bathed her. Sometimes Mrs. Jeff would even feed her. Her three brothers were protective and possessive, ready to destroy anyone who dared lay even a finger on her. But Olivia always worried because she noticed her mother always cared whenever her birthday came around. Now that she is clocking eighteen years, her mother sat in a room that was abandoned for many years and cried. Olivia was sad and always asked her family, but they kept it a secret from her." No…." Olivia replied, her voice barely and up above in a whisper.

"Why not?" Noah asked his one brown furrowed, Noah is the third son. he was inside Olivia room trying to confront her when he noticed she was not in good mood and Olivia explained how she saw her mother cried whenever she is celebrating her birthday

"Because I want to stay here and figure things out," she said, clutching her teddy bear tighten

"Noah, I don't want to talk about it. I just want to stay here," she insisted, her eyes welling up with tears.

"Okay, little one. I'll stay with you," he said, sensing her need for comfort.

As they sat together in silence, Olivia's thoughts raced. She felt a whirlwind of emotions, a mix of concern for her mother and her own confusion.

"What if she's sad forever?" Olivia wondered aloud.

"No one is sad forever, Olivia. You're strong, and so is your mother," Noah reassured her.

Olivia stared at the wall, letting her mind drift.

"What if she doesn't want me to grow up?" she asked.

"No, Olivia. Your mother loves you and wants you to grow up. It's a part of life," Noah explained.

"But why does she cry?" Olivia pressed, her heart heavy with worry.

"Because she feels emotions just like anyone else. It doesn't mean she doesn't love you, little one," Noah said softly.

Olivia took a deep breath and closed her eyes, wishing she could understand her mother's pain.

"Why do you call me little one?" she asked, her curiosity piqued.

"Because you'll always be my little one, no matter how tall you get," Noah said with a smile.

"Then I'll always be your little one," Olivia replied, a smile creeping onto her face.

"Yes, always," Noah affirmed, wrapping his arm around her shoulders.

In that moment, Olivia felt a flicker of hope amidst her worries. She was loved, and no matter the struggles her mother faced, she knew she would always have her brother by her side.

"Olivia and I were going shopping today," Liam, the second son, said as he entered the room. He heard everything they were discussing about.

"Liam, you always fail me and run after your girlfriend," Olivia said because she knew Liam always disappointed her.

"No, she is going out with me today," Noah insisted. Not long after, their elder brother showed up.

"Olivia, you need me to follow to the board meeting," he said, while the other brother groaned in anger.

"Levi, I am taking her out," Noah said.

"Now three of you are fighting all because of me, and the reason is that I am beautiful and people will always get attracted to you, Ehnn" huh?" Olivia said jovially.

"Eehm, who said so? My girlfriend is more beautiful than you," Liam said, without meaning it.

"It's a lie; I am more beautiful than all your girlfriends," Olivia replied.

"Olivia, get ready; I will call you in a minute," Levi said and walked out.

"He is so cold," Noah said. Levi was handsome and arrogant but also loved and cared about his sister.

"I don't know; maybe he will never marry because he has no girlfriend and always goes out with Olivia," Liam said.

"If am I was not his brother, I would believe the rumors that he is secretly having an affair with Olivia," Noah said, and Olivia hit his head.

"I don't mean that," Noah groaned.

"I agree with you; Olivia is our secret lover," Liam concluded, but they didn't mean it, just wanting to find Olivia trouble, and Olivia fell into their trap. She yelled out, took her pillow, and started chasing them around the house. Mrs. Jeff yelled at them, but nobody listened among them. Levi came out, dressed up and ready for the meeting. He saw Olivia playing with a pillow with his brothers. He was angry and walked to them. When Olivia saw him, she stopped because Levi was harsh, and he would scold her.

"Why are you still playing around? I told you we are going to a board meeting, and you should be prepared," he said. "I'm sorry, Levi," Olivia apologized.

"Lower your voice; don't you know she is still a kid?" Mrs. Jeff said, trying to protect her. "And she is not your assistant, and if you want one, then hire an assistant," Mrs. Jeff said, and Levi was angry at her for saying that. Olivia looked at him with a mocking face. Levi was mad at her and dragged her upstairs back to her room to get her dressed.

"Mom, are you sure Levi will not marry Olivia?" Liam said jovially, and her mother hit him on the head. Liam groaned; Noah also hit him.

"Bad boy," he said and walked out.

"See how you guys destroyed the pillow," Mrs. Jeff said, but Liam turned a blocked ear and left. The maids walked in and cleaned everywhere.

At Olivia's room,

"I gave you three minute's," he said, and Olivia walked inside her room and closed the door. "He will be forcing me to do something because he is the first son, gosh," she whispered,

Levi had what she said and replied, "Two minutes more."Olivia quickly entered the bathroom; she didn't take a second in the bathroom rushed out and to take her clothes and wear them.

"One minute more," Levi said. Olivia quickly took her makeup box and did some makeup. She was late by one minute, and Levi entered.

"Are you not done yet?" he asked.

"Let me finish my makeup," she said, but Levi didn't allow her and dragged her out.

"Make sure you take care of my daughter," Mrs. Jeff said, but Levi didn't answer and walked out with Olivia

after the meeting end they went to a restaurant, Olivia was worried and doesn't know how tell her elder brother

. "Levi," Olivia called.

"Yes," he answered.

"I need to get something from the supermarket Can we go there before we return home?" she asked for his permission.

"I'll tell my secretary to get it for you. After the restaurant, we are returning home," he said.

"But I want to have fun before returning home. I have been sitting in your office until you are done with the meeting. Please let me go on an errand," she begged, but he refused.

"If it was Liam or Noah, they would take me," she said silently, and, frankly, her face. After they left the restaurant, Levi told the driver to drive to the shopping mall. When Olivia heard it, she was happy and hugged Levi. "I love you, Levi," she said, but Levi pushed her away. "Gosh, he was too harsh," she said to herself. The driver parked the car at the garage, and they got down and walked inside the shopping mall. Levi sat inside the car while Olivia shopped alone. She was excited and knew all the bills were on her brother; she was busy shopping when she mistakenly hit a young guy shopping with his girlfriend. "'I'm sorry,' Olivia apologized, but the girlfriend was not satisfied; she was angry because her boyfriend took all the attention on Olivia because she was beautiful. "Are you trying to fleece with my boyfriend?" she raised her voice. "Nope, don't misunderstand me. I am here to have fun, not to fight," Olivia replied.

"How can this supermarket allow anyone? Can't you see this fool and poor things walking around?" The girl looked down on her. Olivia looked at herself and replied, "You better watch your mouth, you little rat, or else my brother won't take it easy on you," Olivia said. She wasn't bored because she was overly pampered, and her. three brothers always supported her "Am sure we are the same age. Why did you depend on your brother?" The girl was bullying her, also moving closer to her while Olivia was stepping back, also scared. "Babe, you need to stop," his boyfriend said, but the girl didn't listen.

"If you hurt me, I promise my brother won't take it easy on you," Olivia was scared.

"Oh, your poor family will dare to challenge me," she said and raised her hand to slap Olivia. Suddenly, a strong hand held the girl's hand,
