_Hmm. Where am I?_
Job woke up in a hospital within the Magenta state.
A doctor walked in and informed him of the current situation.
Fortunately or unfortunately he had not crossed the border so the police had been able to contact his parents.
The police soon followed in with a hurdle of question in which Job refused to answer. Apart from one.
"Were you being trafficked by any chance?"
After a short silence.
"No, I was lost."
"And how did you get lost 260 miles from home?"
Silence followed.
A nurse walked in with a clipboard in hand.
"Mr. Nordvitch, your father is here to see you."
Job faced down as he grit his teeth with full force, trying his best not to expose his anger and hatred.
"My son, where have you been? We've been worried."
Job turned his head to face the adversary in front of him.
He adorned a long brown overcoat and a black top hat.
His mouth had said one thing but his face had a creepy smile plastered on.
"I was simply lost father."
His father sighed. The smile still etched on.
"And how exactly did you get all the way to the other side of the country, son?"
Job put a forced smile on his face.
"Now how would I know that, I was just simply lost."
His father sighed, finally dropping the smile.
"It's alright. As long as we've found you."
Job looked down once more, barely managing to keep his feelings under.
_You. You're the reason why I don't have a younger brother anymore. When the time comes I will be the one to kill you._
"Alright. I'll be leaving with my son now. Thank you officers."
The nurse helped him to his crutches as they left for the car.
All while this unfolded, one man, a detective, quietly sat on a chair at the other side of the room.
He had observed all this and now simply gave a smile, and a mischievous one at that.
While in the car they did not speak to each other till Job's father posed a question.
"The police officers had mentioned to me that you were soaked in blood. So you had lost a lot of blood I presume."
And after a short silence.
"No, don't worry. It wasn't my blood."
An eerie smile wringed on the face of Job's father.
