Chapter 5 - Rejection of love

The following days, Han Chen observed many knowledge relating to computer science and after a week of persistent efforts, he has now thousands of new inspirations to build more complex systems to create new apps, algorithms, designs, database management systems, online tools, hacking, penetration testing and many others. He kept ideas for later.

He already studied and created immortal formations that can bend the rules of heavenly operations and these complicated stuff humans created were nothing to him.

Next he tried looking for many knowledge in fields of advanced mathematics and theoretical physics that may inturn help him in visualizing things and assisting his cultivation knowledge, but he found that these ideas were already figured out in cultivation world with bilions and billions of years of background where there are people who play around with heavenly bodies. This world is only taking baby steps.

Only knowledge he lacked was in civic knowledge and history of human world. He had learned that unlike in cultivation world, where ancient knowledge and inheritance for immortal arts are considered priceless, here the lost and found knowledge is somewhat lacking as developments and improvements were attained in later stage.

But there are no records of people transcending grandmaster stage present. But even now very few known pinnacle grandmasters are there all over the world. 13 of them. They are considered as pinnacle human existence.May be some nations concealed something. But that is the current situation.

People knew the existence of masters but they are so rare that many people won't even witness one in their lifetime, and national martial arts available are a simpler form of true items present in the hands of the few rich and powerful families but only a super high martial talent born in common family has any chance of stepping into ming jin with those arts, then they would be instantly coveted by ruling families to tie them via relations and marriage.

Additionally they need years of practise to gain something and to live they need money. Life is short and people simply doesnt have the luxury to enjoy everything.

Grandmasters are powerful but not powerful enough and not loyal enough for every country to treat them as sources comparable to precious weapons. They could help themselves under few direct missile attacks, but for truly powerful weapons they are not a match not even considering a nuclear attack.

The governace of country is formed under unified alliance of powerful masters. Since they simply won't allow some random simpletons to command them out, the democratic institutions are only for show. The people who will be competing for democracy are simply people with backgrounds. And grandmasters are simply people who raise from certain powerful families. So it's in essence a type of family rule actually.

Governace forms regular military army with hot weapons, but there are also privately trained armies under major families. This is also the reason why Han Chen can't act too high profile. A simple bullet can kill him. Even if he entered master realm a qi field rupturing bullet can kill him. It's a advanced research result for modern warfare. The realm names are simply different in different areas of globe. In western alliance countries, the realms are given names like warrior apprentice, warrior knight, champion, hero, Arch mage or demi god, Magic god or saint.

Apart from humans, there are beasts but they are simply low intelligent life forms which gradually acummulates qi and blood energy. Truly powerful ones are only master realm and they are considered as legends.. But they have little to no interaction with humans. Apart from that, the martial arts families have license to farm animals for consumption with high qi and blood similar to ming jin realm martial arts masters.

There are many biological experiments done already and many qi disrupting bioweapons are in practise. So society of mortals are not powerless. The regular police departments carry them around incase of a powerful violators. Then again martial artists are one in twenty thousand among general public. Among them, people having high talent and background support are very few like less than 1000 in every country.

Study into bioenhancement and qi nature are done, but it's basically not replicable as it involves rule of life law. They simply not crossed the technology development threshold for such a study. Anyway, coming to present,

" My father is still considered a part of family or as a side branch due to my grandfather supporting. Otherwise, people from main branch won't allow such direct acts such as going against family decision like my father did for marrying my mother an ordinary person. Talent is attributed to bloodline. Only marrying into family with talents to enrich bloodline is acceptable. Also mother is also a martial artist learning techniques from dad. May be the reason for sparing me maybe because I am a mortal in previous life. So I may need to cover my practise developments even to my parents."

" I may have already been under the eyes of some intelligent organisation due to my change or my background, but not necessarily in my family. Although Han family is powerful it's not exactly powerful enough and so is mainly engaged in bussiness. Sigh, an immortal emperor such as myself (who was) capable of playing with heavenly bodies is now under threat of people who have not even reached foundation realm cultivation.. "

Days passed. One day in his home when he was alone, sensing he has reached ideal refinement for easy stepping into ming jin, he stood in regular practice stance. Since being extremely familiar with qi in his previous life, it didn't even needed him to enter meditation to sense warmth from his Zhongwan acupoint near navel. Just few moments later, this warmth spread across the body in terrifying speed. Han Chen directly stepped from qi sensing to qi gathering in seconds. This is mainly due to body being tempered with immortal qi previously and since body has perfect acupoint openings and rich blood essence.

With meridian map as qi conduit and internal organs as yin and Yang and 5 elements, a cycle of qi rotation started. Han Chen pursuing harmony and longevity as key concepts visualized heavenly rules of yin and Yang.

"The meridians act as rivers, carrying the essence of life; the organs are the mountains, anchoring the balance of Yin and Yang. Through cycles of day and night, Qi flows unbroken, forging the harmony of the five elements."

"Inhale to gather, exhale to release; the Dantian is the cauldron where essence transforms. Through stillness, find movement; through movement, awaken force."

The meridian node near his solar plexus gradually swelled. The rich life essence circulated aiding in its development, over the course of next 5 hours a primitive form of Dantian has been formed.

"Yin resides in the stillness of the organs, Yang ignites in the pathways of motion. By balancing the two, strength surges, and the Bright Force emerges."

Han Chen officially stepped into Ming jin. Circulating the previous rotation few more times to stabilize the realm he continued.

"The lungs are metal, the liver is wood, the heart is fire, the kidneys are water, and the spleen is earth. Align their energies to form the cycle of creation, empowering the body with endless vitality."

"The Bright Force is born when the Qi flows unbroken; let it spiral through the Dan Tian, rise to the crown, and settle in the root. The body becomes the vessel of strength, the spirit its eternal flame."

Employing the technique of silencing breath, the qi fluctuations of his body return to nothing. Feeling tired he rested. He took absence next day and while parents were away he went to market to buy some medicinal materials using his savings. He disguised using qi to stiffen facial muscles and simple bone shrinking technique to reduce height and he looked like a middle aged person now. Dropping over one of his dad's clothes he went to medicine shops one after another to look for traditional healing medicines, herbal medicines, natural supplements. The ginseng, ginger, ashwagandha, turmeric and many others.

And then to look for a lot of food items and energy drink. He basically has half his savings left after all this. He went for multiple times and circumvented many times before gathering all items. With his knowledge, even though it was mortal medicines and supplements he extracted the essence and treated everything ready for direct consumption and others pasted on his body.

With circulation of bright force mixing the life essence slowly with the medicine and then he took it orally.Gradually, through his technique, the medicinal essence was gradually entered his meridian pathway and other was seemlessy distributed into the flesh and blood using precise control of bright force unimaginative to any of this world. Gradually, his complexion turned his body turned more pale coloured and meridian pathways which had just undergone development, get strengthened due to rapid circulation of bright life essence. It formed a continuous cycle of swelling and toughening until the entire medicinal essence is gradually melted into his body. The medicinal remnants in his flesh and blood went to his bone marrow and tendon to start bone marrow and tendon refinement. Gradually, the sweats mixed with some grey coloured wastes washed all over his body.

After repeating the same for 3 days until medicinal materials are completed. Each time he completed this transformation and after cleaning up and disposing of everything his complexion would be improved visibly. He looked bright and skin looked more pale but glow faintly.

Enjoying the small joy, he went to greet his parents and saying a little white lie about his absence at school even though it's been monday, he sat with them, watched TV and later ate a lot of food. His parents brought a food of a qi beast through online sale recently, it was a nice addition to his treatment.

Returning to room, he first entered meditation and envelopes his body with qi silencing technique using a small part of qi and rest were circulated along with his technique.

"Bone like iron, tendons like steel; skin refined by the fire of will. Qi saturates the flesh, bringing life to every cell, forging the body into a temple of power."

"Each strike carries the breath of life, each stance roots to the depths of the earth. Through steady practice, the Bright Force is no longer hidden but shines as a beacon of mastery."

"Visualize the dragon coiling in your core, the tiger prowling in your limbs. The spirit commands, the Qi obeys, and the body executes without hesitation."

With the cover of no outward qi fluctuations, but inside a glorious transformation was done. A mortal cannot execute dao law with his body but only his spirit. Now that, his life essence achieves harmony and circulates and a week qi rotation is achieved. He entered the next stage of his inspiration for cultivation.

The visualization in his mind carried a week dao yun through his spirit will now get resonated with the movement of his qi mechanism, which caused a larger dao yun aura to emit from his body. He began to simulate his inspiration of laws he learned in God transformation stage in cultivation world and then to elemental rules to avenue of great dao.

Many principles were then compiled, even though no breath was emitted but the dao yun aura become thick and thick. This in addition with the gradually optimising ming jin realm arts of human body sutra he created caused a qualitative transformation, he greatly progressed the transformation and directly refined his ming jin qi many times over until he needed to replenish it in time to start over.

The internal energy is mild and inclusive as it's generated within the body, so a meridian pathway opened up can do this... Only those in spiritual energy environment has mutated energy conduits to spiritual root specialising over refining such heavy aura.

"The energy is not upto the limit for me to use resonance with dao rules to cultivate any immortal law..perhaps, I could try again once I reach, Transformative jin realm. I wish I could simulate it all time...I simply does'nt have enough energy my body produce to convert to life essence.." other wise martial art cultivation would be like riding a divine dragon ascending to the heavens or in modern saying, riding a rocket.

With the new step, my life returned to ordinary except for the fact that, we had to attend the senior high school entrance exam and final 3 years have started. Two additional students have added. One of them is none other than Zhao Lin.

The moment I saw his self-assured smirk and the arrogance in his gait, I recognized him. He came to me on the premise of exchanging notes with the first in class, but still enquired some bussiness news from his Zhao family. Probably found out about myself using some means.

Days passed. Xu Qing was clinging onto me during these days and she complained multiple times for being left alone. She'd complain about my distance, sulk when I didn't reciprocate her gestures, and recently, she'd even begun "borrowing" money from me—a pattern that was far from innocent.

Then came the day she confessed to me.

It was in a quiet corner after class. Her tone was unusually soft, almost vulnerable.

"Han, I… I like you," she said, her cheeks flushed. "I want us to be together."

I took a deep breath. For a moment, I considered simply brushing her off, but the weight of my experience held me steady. I looked her in the eyes, calm and composed.

"Xu Qing," I said slowly, "do you remember what you once told me? 'Let's just be friends.' I think that's the best for us."

Her eyes widened, and her expression shifted to one of shock and frustration.

"You've changed, Han, you once confessed to me before.." she said, her voice trembling. "You used to treat me so well—caring, sweet, always there for me. Now, all of a sudden, you're... distant. Aloof. What's wrong with you? You've been acing tests, excelling in sports, and pushing everyone away. And now that I have taken the initiative, you ...are you playing hard to get?? You think you're better than us now, don't you?"

I shook my head, meeting her glare with an unwavering gaze. "It's not about that, Xu Qing. You misunderstand me. I've realized something important."

"And what's that?" she demanded, crossing her arms.

I sighed, my tone measured, as though speaking to someone I knew too well. "You have a future that's dazzling, Xu Qing. Your talent, your family's support—everything is laid out for you. Acting classes, opportunities, money, ready made status… you'll achieve what most people can only dream of." I paused, letting my words sink in before continuing. "And me? You know my circumstances. I have no safety net, no family to pave the way for me. If I don't work hard now, I'll have nothing in the future. You and I… we're on different paths."

Her face twisted with indignation, though her eyes betrayed a hint of understanding.

"So, that's it? You're giving up before even trying? Hiding behind excuses because you're scared of what others might say? Because you're a coward?"

I smiled faintly. "Call me what you will, Xu Qing. But I know this: relationships like ours don't last in the world we're headed for. Your family won't allow it. And eventually… you won't want it either."

She stared at me, stunned into silence. For a moment, it seemed like she wanted to argue, but no words came. Then, her anger bubbled to the surface.

"You… You're an idiot, Han. A coward!" she shouted, her voice breaking. Turning on her heel, she stormed away, leaving me standing there.

As I watched her retreating figure, a fleeting sense of melancholy stirred within me. But I knew better.

'In my past life, I had been blind to the signs, oblivious to the betrayals that would follow. This time, I would remain steadfast, unshaken by fleeting emotions or superficial connections.

The path I walked was mine alone, and it would lead me beyond the petty ambitions of those around me.'

Looking at the rest of my classmates, I noticed their scrutinizing eyes and heard their murmurs, whispers flitting from one side of the room to the other like a swarm of restless insects. Some cast glances filled with curiosity, while others showed thinly veiled judgment. It was as though the entire room held its breath, waiting for my reaction, a crack in my façade. But I gave them nothing.

With measured steps, I made my way back to my desk and sat down, feeling the weight of their stares pressing against my back. I closed my eyes, blocking out their presence and tuning into the only thing that mattered—my inner world. As I delved into a meditative state, I felt the flow of qi within me, its subtle pulse moving in rhythm with my controlled breath.

A shift, almost imperceptible, unfurled inside me. The mental blockade that had once felt constrained, bound by old emotional chains, began to release. It was as if an ancient shackle that had gripped me through lifetimes had finally untangled itself. A warm current coursed through my veins, more fluid and potent than before, carrying with it a newfound clarity. The circulation of my qi deepened, each loop smoother, each cycle more controlled, pushing my mastery a step further.

A faint, almost invisible smile crossed my lips. The room around me faded into irrelevance; the whispers, the eyes, the world beyond my own consciousness dissolved into the background. In that moment, I was no longer bound by the mundane.
