Anyway, coming to Han Chen's cultivation, the immortal law Han Chen practised previously was most optimised for him but has realm requirement. Now that body has changed, so comparing and modifying the suitable techniques he created the chapter for qi cultivation and body refining and a technique called Essence convergence and radiance refining.
It took two weeks with his anti heavenly natural understanding, to incorporate immortal law pointing directly to dao nature to the technique.
By practising human body refinement, a Tao rhyme emits and when enough qi can resonate with dao rhyme an immortal law can be practised. Due to his improved wisdom root, he was able split part of his consciousness to operate this technique for body refinement, realm refinement and begin the soul refinement also.
"In the stillness of the world, I become one with the trees, the winds, and the stars. Their life essence flows into me, a river of vitality, binding nature's strength to my very soul."
" The roots of all things converge within me, and I become the heart of the world's energy."
"When the stars whisper, I listen. Their radiance filters through the cosmos, weaving through the night like threads of ancient light. I draw it in and refine it into the essence of life."
"The sun's fury is bright but fleeting; Taiyang, its power too wild, too sharp. Yet in the night's embrace, Taiyin, the celestial energies linger, soft and pure, ready to be gathered like dew from a forgotten dawn."
"The wood spirits whisper secrets of the earth, and the moon speaks of distant worlds. I, the bridge between heaven and earth, harness both yin & yang in harmony, for my body is the vessel of the universe's breath."
"With every heartbeat, I pulse with the force of life and the cosmos. My breath is the wind, my veins the rivers, my soul the stars. Boundless power is within my grasp, refined and endless."
"The radiance I emit is not of this world. It draws the stars from the sky, bringing their light to my being, transforming it into an eternal glow that dances through every atom of my existence."
"The essence law of the wood, the whispers of the night sky, all converge within me as I walk the Avenue of the Eternal Path. My body, my mind, my spirit—are the conduit through which all energies pass."
"In the convergence of life, I stand eternal. In the radiance of the stars, I transcend. For as the earth gives, and the sky reflects, I become both the vessel and the flame. "
"As the wind nourishes the seed, so too do the stars feed the soul. My path is not bound by time nor space; it is guided by the eternal flow of energy, converging and refining, ever in motion, yet perfectly still."
He has been cultivating the law ever since.
Basically, it fully converged the life essence of any vegetation or plant life near him if he is in contact with and his body emits a special law radiance which will absorb the stellar and cosmic energy passing through at night to him for improvement.
Because there is no actual spiritual energy in the surroundings, the dao rhyme won't spread but converge in a radius near Han Chen enabling vitality to be extracted. He used the technique to extract the life essence of all the weeds first. After absorption, the plant will deteriorate in a period of hours and turn yellow and dry.
It's possible at day time also, since, the yang attribute solar energy and it's very high intensity, which meant the qi is not suitable for realm refinement but for body refinement and dispersal.
So every night, he will gather stellar and cosmic energy for cultivation for 3 hours , and he needed atleast 3 hours of sleep for optimal efficiency the next day. Similarily, he will cultivate in the morning light until his parents came to call him when he switches back to family cultivation technique.
The previous skin refinement which stuck at 20% entered 80% in two weeks, but stopped. In a few months, flesh refinement reached 65 %, bone refinement advanced to 41% in next two months, blood essence and bone marrow refinement reached 30% and he started the organ refinement layer.
Here, the internal organs refinement involves, improving the qi movement and spreading, covering those organs through Taichong, Shenmen, Sanyinjiao, Lieque,Taixi, Baihui, Tongli accupoints as per certain resonance with dao rhyme. After 3 months of refinement, he only reached 10% of it.
The brain is considered as the conduit for Shen or spiritual consciousness. Through the refinement, the subconscious is open to the realm of control for Han Chen. Through the memories of spiritual core, the instinct for survival as a mortal has been rewritten with fighting instincts, weapon control, warning sense, fear control, deep communication with human body and will of immortal consciousness. Han Chen refined the biological controller for parallel computation and better integration with spiritual wisdom root.
As the body refining came to a still because of the inability to produce enough immortal law aura due to lack of qi resonance. But it reached 65% of what could be expected in a regular qi cultivator, who completed body refinement required for spiritual energy refinement before entering qi refinement realm.
But this is incomparable for the current mortals in this world. Just with no internal force, he can reach over 9m from stand still with an explosive jump, and his bones and spine can withstand such a stress with no problem. If he used martial arts to distribute the force evenly, he can reach few more metres and came to a stop in a standstill without any excessive motion.
The refinement using immortal law also meant that, it surpassed any advanced cultivation on the planet and as such, the improvement in realm shifted its dependence from qi and essence energy from food to radiance refining and essence concergence.
He also visited central parks and the forest in suburbs to extract life force from trees which improved his qi refinement further. Which also meant he can pierce through the gang qi shield generated by martial masters like a paper. Assistance of law and rules of dao in cultivation is incomparable to mortal training technique refinement.
This almost to the end of second year, sensing he reached the absolute peak of transform jin he visited his spot near villa, finding ' fresh' trees for vitality extraction, he sat crosslegged in one of its branches. His martial arts now doesn't need complicated movement or any movement at all due to assistantance of Dao rules.
As soon as he reached Transform jin, he noticed that there is a problem. From description of martial master realm in this world through dark net forums and sources of high martial techniques he bought using Cryptocurrency, [ yeah, he made some hacking and bug bounty reward money] with his understanding he noticed that, the transformation to master is imperfect. Only solution he could come up with is there is a hidden realm in between.
With the assistance of dao rule, the transformation of life would be perfect unless ofcourse there is not enough energy for refinement. So for that reason, he tried to reach the peak, suppress it repeat that cycle few times and simultaneously ran exercise of meridian washing chapter of body refining for it to withstand such a movement. In addition, he considered a night with clear visibility over the selected zone using weather reports.
Calming his mind, he released the restraint of aura he placed on himself. The profound aura mixed with Tao rhyme began to spread along with his spirit will. In an area of 50m, he felt his spirit feel the tactile perception.
"In the silence of the void, I hear the pulse of Tao. My Qi no longer fights but flows, merging with the rhythm of the cosmos."
"Transform intent into clarity, and clarity into harmony. Let every movement resonate with the great Dao, erasing the boundaries between self and the world."
"The barriers of the body dissolve; the meridians widen, the Qi condenses, refining itself into purity unmatched by the mortal form."
"The breath of heaven and earth, in my case the essence converged becomes mine, each inhale drawing the essence of life, each exhale expelling chaos and impurity."
"The flame of my spirit ignites the eternal cycle. My Qi refines endlessly, no longer depleting but self-regenerating like the rivers that flow to the sea."
"My mind settles like a mountain, my will sharpens like a blade. Intent no longer guides Qi, but Qi obeys thought, merging as one."
"In stillness, I create; in motion, I destroy. The balance of Yin and Yang within me births the infinite."
"Each meridian sings with vitality; the body becomes a vessel of the heavens, uniting essence, energy, and spirit."
"The stars above, the earth below—I am the axis, the bridge between the celestial and mortal realms."
"With this step, I ascend beyond limits. My Qi becomes boundless, my body a conduit of the eternal Dao, and my existence harmonized with the infinite."
The transformation required energy, with spiritual energy replaced by essence convergence. He extracted the life force of a 30-meter tree, combined with his energy buildup and cosmic energy refinement. This process was slower than spiritual energy refinement but he synchronized effortlessly with his breakthrough speed.
For 14 hours, he endured the technique, as the essence energy of the tree was drained. During this, his qi refinement efficiency improved, harmonizing his qi, essence, and spirit with the Dao. Self-sustaining energy and subtle aura influence were also achieved.
The main barriers preventing others from reaching this realm were the lack of qi of heaven and earth and difficulty understanding world laws due to a lack of heavenly Dao. He named this state the "Innate Realm."
Externally, his transformation was striking. His height increased by 10 cm, his spine elongated, muscles thickened, and his flesh hardened. Perception became sharper, and imperfections in his body and face disappeared. Even his hair gained a subtle sheen, and dark wastes appeared all over on his skin. His overall body refinement improved.
Near a lake, he cleaned himself, changed into new clothes, and used his phone to examine his reflection. His youthful face had become even more flawless, with fresh, glowing skin—he now resembled a pop star. Underneath his clothes, perfectly toned muscles and curves exuded masculinity, a result of high-level techniques in the early stages, guided by Dao principles toward evolutionary perfection.
The essence convergence radiance refining technique is still running without any intent just the thought. His body exumes power dao rhyme incomparable to before. His spiritual aura became heavier. He can now exert this aura without intent. Seeing his surrounding near 50 ms vegetations slightly caving over and a bird just flew above just freezed and hit ground.
" Sorry, little guy". Converging the aura and picking up the chinese turtle dove, he injected a trace of innate qi with healing technique to it, the bird recovered. It flew away. Cleaning up the traces and he went back using simple flash step to accelerate his pace. Bought a pair of dress and boarding metro returning home, his mind was on onething." How am I going to explain this transformation....Yeah, pretend nothing happened."
At noon time he came home. No one was there. Eating the bought lunch, he went sleep after the transformation. Evening, his mom went home and unknowingly glancing at the door of her son, she found an almost too beautiful face and perfect toned body lying there in her son's bed.
Upon checking carefully, she found it was her own son. Awestruck at his son's transformation, she entered and feeling doubts checked his body, since the technique to hide breath is running by itself all time, there wasn't much of a problem. But a transform jin martial art like her mother can instinctively understand the thickness of her son's skin.
"Mom, what are you doing?"
He was already awake by the time she reached 2m infront of him. Which is his domain of will.
"Checking you are still my son? How can you explain this beauty...it's almost blinding and most importantly hardness of your skin, yet you don't have a trace of qi fluctuations?"
She teased with an enquiry.
A thousands of thoughts relating to whether to release the truth or not is considered and there after effects were discussed and in a split second, he replied
" I have only trained the technique you have given me... But, I felt it lacks something, so added a few more adjustments nothing major, and now I can feel ming jin is within reach and my body strength is increasing daily after each exercise"
" You are joking right, you change technique.... Haven't your father already explained, that shouldn't be done.. But seeing the effect, I feel like it's nothing adversary. Teach me too."
Looking at her enthusiastic face, I knew 90% of that request is credit to my looks. Well, within a blink of an eye, the beautifying effect was seperated into fundamental concepts of martial Tao and rebundled into family cultivation and checked for any problem simulated in mind and
" Promise me ,that you won't tell I modified it to dad."
" Why? Oh I understand. I promise you I won't tell dad"
I told her the revised part of family Crane style arts.
" Add this part to those below ming jin as mine and add the second part to those under martial master. It's a concept. I don't know.
"To refine is to blend opposites. The body is soft as silk in repose, hard as iron in action. Through this, the beautiful and the powerful are one, with each breath deepening the cultivation, each movement honing the sharpness of one's intent. The body, sculpted with such care, is both a temple of grace and a fortress of strength."
"When the qi flows unhindered, the body becomes a conduit for beauty. Every curve smooth, every muscle hard as the earth beneath your feet. In stillness, the body reflects softness; in motion, it exudes sharpness. The true form is neither rigid nor weak, but an ever-flowing balance between the two." And showed the movement techniques and meridian channeling for both of them to her.
" And mom, again I ask, don't tell dad, you can tell he will spread it all over his workplace that his son is a genius or something if this turned out true...
There are many people eyeing our bussiness and even our family. A genius not grown amounts to nothing... Please ask him to find low profile if you plan to tell him after I step into ming jin atleast. "
Dad later found about, and unlike before, I relaxed my skin and he didn't find anything.
Days passed, and I have become centre of attention again. Initially, I sought Fan Qing's help to arrange a human wall for me until the teacher arrived. Grateful, I invited him for a meal the next day. The dinner began smoothly, with Fan Qing leading the conversation.
Coincidentally, Zhao Lin and Xu Qing walked in. The moment they saw me, the atmosphere shifted. Zhao Lin seemed stunned to see me casually socializing, while Xu Qing appeared torn between politeness and something unspoken. I gestured for them to join.
"Sit," I said casually, my smile natural despite Zhao Lin glaring at me.
Fan Qing leaned over and whispered, "This is going to be interesting."
As we sat in an awkward silence after they ordered, Zhao Lin finally broke it. "Han Chen," he said with mock sweetness, "I didn't expect to see you here. Don't you have better things to do than 'gracing' us with your presence?"
Leaning back, I replied smoothly, "Just here to enjoy Fan Qing's company and thank him. Didn't realize I'd be interrupting your date."
Xu Qing looked uneasy, her gaze flicking between us. "It's fine," she said softly. "We're just here to eat."
Zhao Lin wasn't done. "Are you planning on attending the school's charity event next week? I heard you've been the center of attention lately. Must be nice to live in the spotlight."
"Actually," I replied with a smile, "I'm just here for a normal life. Attention just seems to find me."
The food arrived, and as we ate, Fan Qing teased me about my beauty routine. I jokingly listed some skin conditioners, which Xu Qing quietly noted.
Zhao Lin swirled his drink, his tone casual yet probing. "Han Chen, your family must be something else. The way you carry yourself—confident, untouchable, almost like royalty."
"Oh, not at all," I replied lightly. "Just an average family trying to get by. Nothing like yours, Zhao Lin. Everyone knows the Zhao family is exceptional."
Zhao Lin's smirk wavered before recovering. "Exceptional, yes. My dad says, 'Greatness is built, not inherited.' Some prefer to blend in rather than stand out."
"Blending in is underrated," I said, meeting his gaze. "Sometimes, the quiet ones in the crowd surprise everyone, wouldn't you agree?"
Zhao Lin chuckled, but his eyes glinted with a challenge. "True, though quiet ones usually stay quiet because they don't have much to say."
Fan Qing jumped in with a grin. "Zhao Lin, are you saying Han Chen is boring? Because I'd argue he's more interesting than all of us combined."
Xu Qing finally turned to me. "Han Chen, your face... it's almost illegal. You're more attention-grabbing than some pop stars. Is this what you meant when you said you'd work hard? Planning to be a kept son-in-law or something?"
I set my chopsticks down and replied, "Whoa that's personal. Xu Qing. No I don't want to be a kept in but, I think they need a certain skill to be one. I respect them. But, who I am now is no different from who I was then. Perhaps it's just easier for people to notice."
Her lips parted, but she hesitated, glancing at Zhao Lin, whose expression darkened. "I suppose," she murmured, leaning back.
The awkward meal ended a little later. We split the bill and went back to our lives.
I remembered the scene in previous life, 'Zhao Lin looked at me with disdain, while Xu Qing's irritation seemed tinged with disgust. I couldn't pinpoint how I had offended her—confessing to her, turning down others confessions, helping her, giving her money? Perhaps being associated with her may felt beneath her? given Zhao Lin's influence. Yeah probably'
Looking at them now, I realized there was no comparison between our paths.
